Appalling eBay 'Chat' staff.my eBay Gift Card…

Attempted to add my eBay Gift Card manually at their purchase page but suddenly up came 'thank you for your purchase." Unbeknownst to me their computer had activated my account default credit card, which debited the full cost for the item, without me pressing the submit (payment) button.

Being Sunday, eBay phone enquiries is closed, so I stupidly made contact with eBay "Chat to us" online staff.

What a miserable experience, 30 minutes spent typing to two separate 'Chat'people, who each claimed that I had of course pressed the 'Submit payment button.'It is therefore my fault, not eBay's error of overriding my attempt to add a gift card, with a default Credit Card payment.

eBay "Chat" 'we"re here to help." They did not, the reality, their absence to assist me in reversing the Credit Card payment and then pay from my gift card balance.

Finally, I received the mandatory "how did we go today" Survey email.

Worst treatment of loyal sellers

As a seller for 16 years I got used to their ridiculous fees. Then yesterday they decided to hold my payments for 2 weeks. No notifications or reason. Worst company ever. No loyalty to long term sellers and their help system is pathetic. I am done with them. Avid them

My account is just not usable in Australia anymore

After 16 years of loyalty, using eBay and working up a 100% Positive feedback with 225 people (relatively a low level user), I temporarily went to the UK, where they transferred my account - with my good rating, but now I'm back in Australia they can not (will not) reinstate my account back to Australia (due to a policy change).
My eBay account is just not workable in Australia, even though advice from call centre support said I can operate it back in Australia...it keeps reverting back to the UK site, things keep popping up in GBP£, the local postage eBay system/calculator doesn't work, if I was to sell something there would be an international conversion process, the list goes on.
This forces me to either start a new account in Australia (16 years to get my feedback back were I am now), or just use a free or lower cost service here in Australia, as the incentive of having a good feedback to use eBay is just not there especially when you consider the newly inflated eBay fees.
Not Happy.
