massive scam at ebay

On July 17, I made a purchase that I tried to cancel within one minute. The seller did not accept the cancellation and did not ship the product. However, they provided tracking information from the company JCEX, which shows a notice on its homepage about a hack to its systems. Despite this, eBay and PayPal fully trust the tracking information posted by the seller. The result is that I lost the money for my purchase and received nothing in return. eBay did not even publish my negative review of the seller, allowing them to continue scamming freely. As a result, I have closed my eBay account, which had over 300 five-star positive reviews and more than 20 years of history, while eBay keeps an account belonging to a scammer with zero reviews and only a couple of months old. I wish eBay well, but they will not get a single commission from me again. You have been warned. And this time, eBay will not be able to remove this review the way it does on its platform without any remorse.

A scammer who uses various schemes to deceive you: 1. Fills out incorrect paperwork, resulting in the item not arriving but being returned! They take your money, and you're left without your purchase! 2. Sends an empty shipping box full of junk instead of your order! 3. eBay doesn't respond to complaints and ignores outright fraud, falsifying ratings and listing non-existent items for sale! Be careful and don't buy anything from these disgusting people!!!

My 25 year old account got terminated for no reason

I had an eBay account for 25 years, since 2001, had an active seller account with over a 1500 rating, sold thousands of items over many years, then one day they up and completely terminate my account for “suspicious activity”. I’ve never had any issues, never caused any issues, nothing. I attempted to contact support to which the agent looked at my account, said it was terminated, said there was nothing she could do then promptly hung up. I didn’t have any chance to ask a single question. This is not the kind of treatment I would expect after being a loyal customer for 25 years with a spotless record. eBay has completely lost the plot and I’m extremely disappointed in what they’ve become.

No communication available

I bought a book in "good" condition from World of Books / Second Sale. The book arrived in less than good condition. There was writing all over the margins. It was very distracting and not in good condition at all.

I was unable to communicate with the seller on eBay, could not get any customer service through the seller or eBay. I can not initiate a refund. It appears that the sale was made and nothing can be done after this.

I didn't want to even give one star but…

I didn't want to even give one star but I had to so I could leave a review. I will never ever go through ebay again. I placed an order and 30 seconds after I placed it, I realized it was the wrong shipping address. I tried to cancel and reorder under the correct address and it was rejected. I contacted the seller immediately to ask to have the address changed. Supposedly within one minute my package already shipped and couldn't be changed. I tracked it and there is no way to tell who the carrier is to let them know I will pick it up at the warehouse due to the wrong address. They will not tell you the carrier. The seller wouldn't tell me either. $150.00 is probably gone unless I am able to pick up at the wrong address. There is no reason I should've not been ae to change the address. The worst experience buying online EVER!

Customer support is so incredibly bad

Customer support is so incredibly bad. They only provide a robot chat bot that for you to speak with that is completely incapable of providing any help. All it does is route you to help center articles that can't solve your problem.

Flymo Hedge Trimmer - now removed for a policy violation

Bought a Flymo hedge trimmer from Label It a business seller through this crowd In July last year, new and unused apparently. I used it twice last year and tried to use it for the third time a few weeks ago, the battery wouldn't charge. No recourse and no response from the seller. eBay make no allowances for seasonal products, very unhelpful - who uses a hedge trimmer in Winter? Can't get a refund through VISA either. The manufacturer doesn't want to know. An expensive lesson, will be giving eBay a wide berth. The actual listing has been labelled as removed for a policy violation -

eBay looks finally ready to capitulate. Any problems? Let the robots sort it. or not. I have been waiting for 2 payouts for over a week now. Would not recommend this as a selling site to anybody. Half a star at best. Might be time to shut up shop after 22 years and move on.

Ebay is garbage

Ebay is garbage. As a seller with 100% satisfaction rating they decided one day to restrict my payouts. 2 months later still trying to upload random documents and jumping through hoops to get my money. This company is a scam. Run away as far as you can. Count your days ebay. You will be a distant memory in the next couple of years.

Dont bother with eBay

Dont bother with eBay. Tried my best to sort an issue out and ask for answers just for customer service to ignore you or end chats. They do not care about customers. Will be taking legal action against them. Wont pay services, wont listen to issues, clearly have people working customer service that dont understand any form of questions or English. Piss poor site these days. Were good once upon a time.

Ebay closed my sellers account overnight with no warning and with no good reason. Will not be selling anything or buying anything off ebay again. Very dissapointing experience. They are holding money owed to me from sales for 6 months!!

They absolutely do not honor their “eBay moneyback guarantee” absolutely at all even if it falls under every criteria. I was sold an item that said it was “guaranteed to work or your money back” as the very first thing in listing under dozens of different things said in description they hid at the bottom that it didn’t work. That is scummy you can’t contradict yourself in your own description it says the opposite of you guaranteeing it to work. eBay would not help me at all talked to 4 different customer service agents one of them even told me she had never heard of the eBay money back guarantee. You work for eBay and you’ve never heard of the guarantee thats on the bottom of every listing of yalls website? Okay. Genuinely done with eBay never ordering a tech item again on there terrible experience. After 34 days I finally was able to click return item for reason of it being defective seller refunded me soon as I shipped it. I completely destroyed it. You want to sell me an item that doesn’t work all I did was ship It back the way you sent it to me.

Buying from EBay, you might as well throw your money down the drain.

I would give EBay a negative star if I could. I ordered a robot vacuum from the seller Tiandawei885. I never received the vacuum in spite of UPS indicating it was delivered. No proof was provided of delivery. I then submitted a case to EBay for their review. It was closed without verifying any information from me and without providing any proof. Obviously, EBay's purchase guarantee is bunk. They are lying about any guarantee available. When i tried to contact EBay I could not get anyone on a call. So I emailed them on the site and am still waiting for a response. I left a poor review on the seller Tiandawei885, it disappeared from view. I have purchased on EBay before, but they have lost my business. EBay could offer a phone number where you could actually talk to someone, use postal services that can provide proof of delivery (without this anything can be said and becomes a he said/she said scenario) also vet the sellers much more closely. At this time, I strongly recommend not buying from this EBay, there are some major scams going on.

Complete lock down after resetting password. This is how the web worked 10 years ago, maybe time to wake up? Laughable webpage and service. I guess if eBay doesn’t want my purchases, someone else will. App deleted forever.

I am extremely angry and disappointed…

I am extremely angry and disappointed that my eBay account has been suspended without any valid reason or proper explanation.
I have been a loyal eBay customer, and this month alone I have spent over €8,000 on your platform. I have always used my account honestly and followed your policies.
The only issues on my account are that I returned one order, and another order was marked as delivered but was never actually received. I reported the missing package because I genuinely did not receive it. Instead of properly investigating the matter, you decided to suspend my account without any warning or explanation.
What makes this even worse is that you are now also refunding money to sellers for orders that were returned, even though I never received those orders in the first place. That is completely unacceptable and unfair. I am being treated as if I have done something wrong, when in reality I am the one who has lost money and received terrible customer service.
As a customer who has spent thousands of euros on eBay, I expected fair treatment, transparency, and respect—not an unexplained account suspension and financial losses for orders I never even received.
I demand a full explanation for this decision and an immediate review of my account. If this suspension was made in error, I expect my account to be reinstated without delay and my money to be returned properly.
I sincerely hope this matter is resolved quickly, because this experience has completely destroyed my trust in eBay.

Ripped off buying.

So, I’ve used AliExpress for some time now.
Went back to EBay to try it out again.
Big mistake. They have a lousy 30 day policy so that if you don’t even receive your product and that date passes you lose your money.
Ripped off.
AliExpress is far safer.
