EB Games sucks !!!! My experience with their support team was the worst I have had . I ordered a PS5 waited 3 months they cancelled my order and sold my unit. Without any notification! Tried to speak to someone in charge and they kept refusing. Dont buy from these people unless you want a horrible experience.!!

We went to EB Games at Grand Central in Toowoomba on Sunday looking at games, on the off chance asked about play station 5, they told my son that they were arriving on Tuesday (today). We offered to pay the full price for the play station immediately and were declined by the store explaining that they were not allowed to accept deposits or preorder, and online was not available. We were told we had to be at the shop Tuesday when they open on a first come first serve basis. We arrived around 8:30 am with 5 other hopeful play station customers ahead of us. Just after 9 am the EB store representative came out and said "are you here for the play station 5?" Yes we all said, she told us that sadly they did receive the play station 5's, she did unpack them but they have all been sold online. Again we questioned her about this, she said "it's not my fault". Surely the response should have been more professional, there were not only 1 but 6 disappointed customers and all she could say was "not my fault". My question is how can they tell customers that we can't order online, we can't pay a deposit for one nor pay it in full before it arrives as it is a first come first serve basis only and then they go sell them online. The ludicrous thing though is today they said if we want we can pay a 200 dollar deposit today for the next delivery, but she has no idea when that would be. I am a very unhappy disappointed customer - Very interesting that some can get their hands on play station 5's at the shop price and see them on eBay for almost double in some cases, how is it that some can find play station 5's and some can't!!!

Pre-owned games are even more expensive then new he wanted $77 for game that's $69 NEW! Poor service! Ridiculous Prices!

What's worse you cant order anything from another store just because! If its not available online you cant order it from an another shop that is interstate. You have to drive there your self!

Stupid shop! Been waiting for my orders since Nov 18! supposed to be delivered on that month, and notice they remove the item on their shop and been contacting them and no reply, they're just hiding, stupid!

Would give EB 0 Stars and will never shop again even being a loyal level 4 probably 5 customer. The PlayStation 5 Pre Order debacle still ongoing from the 17 Sep 2020 has clearly shown how unscrupulous EB Games are and the total absence of customer service.

EB clearly oversold its preallocation of Play Station Consoles to deliberately exclude its competition knowing full well how many units it had been allocated by Sony given the are the largest retailers of Playstation Consoles in Australia.

Denying customers the opportunity to shop elsewhere while there was a opportunity to do so! JB Woolworths, Target and the rest have filled there Sep 17 orders with over the counter sales when stock comes in.

Yet 1000’s of EB customers are still waiting and left wallowing in a sea of absolutely no customer service, misinformation, excuse and clear deceit.

It’s no wonder they have been before the ACCC and will again over this. Stay well clear and certainly don’t preorder anything!

Bought a used Xbox One for under $300, came well packed, works perfectly and arrived in good time. No complaints here, so far.

So signed up to the preorder of a ps5 the day after the offer was released. Part of the offer was to trade in the old console for a guaranteed price when collecting your ps5. I called immediately and the person on the phone estimated a pre-Christmas delivery leaving over a month in wiggle room for the offer which expired in January. According to the rep on the phone this was to ensure everyone had plenty of time to organise the trade in. No need to worry.

January has come and gone and still haven't heard any update or apology from EB Games. When I asked if they can extend the trade in deal until I receive the console they said no and would not concede that they had given poor above or false promises on their marketing. No help at all, they just repeated themselves as if I was an idiot.

Had I simply gone to JB hi-fi when stocks arrive, I would have had the better service and deals along with no stress. EB Games will do nothing if the product is not up to standard or price is more than you were told. They just treat you with contempt.

Clearly though they aren't fussed with costumer feedback. Check their score on product review or here. Very poor scores and no one interested in addressing it. This company will go bust soon as they lose customers to service like this.

i placed a pre order with eb games in september 2020,yesterday i received an email at 1:30pm saying my payment was due,i logged in this morning and my order had been cancelled.upon ringing customer service i was not only rudely spoken to and called a liar but was told that was it and nothing wold be done about it to keep my business and any future business they would have gotten is now gone from me!!! i will never shop at eb games or their partner company zingpop culture australia as long as i have money.extremely disappointed and would reccommend boycotting these stores. no effort made on their part at all!!!

Do not buy from this company. Had my daughter's money couple of years ago for cyberpunk special edition. They send her wrong one an take ages to sort. Never reply to my emails so do not waste your time or money. Look online to buy from overseas better deals an better communication. Eb games you are useless.

Literally selling pre owned old gen consoles for the same price as the new gens .

Suck customer services. Ridiculous prices even with discount compared to other retailers. Zero communication about pre-order status.

I ordered a Nintendo Switch bundle and your system made a correction to my address automatically to the WRONG address!

I can't seem to be able to change it online and I can't get anyone anywhere, email, phone, facebook, twitter and instagram, NOBODY is answering, if you sell online, you have to be able to answer customers in a timely manner, I understand its the holidays but still, I sent an email on the 26th, we are now 3 days later.

Nowhere does it say the call center is closed, and you refer to chat, there is NO chat anywhere to be found.

This is horrible customer service!!!

So I preorder a Black Series Mandalorian Armorer. Pick up in store. I see other people receiving their items on line. I phone the store to see where my pre-order is, and they tell me that "not enough" stock was ordered and they could not get me one. But suggested I drive 30kms away to the next store as they "may" have stock. So I cancelled all the rest of my pre-orders. Extra Bull Games lost about $250 in sales. Not really the right time to treat your customers like garbage. Aussies - try Popcultcha - much better.

This retail store doesn't have ANY consideration for the customers but has a lot of privileges to share with bots.

their online order system is flawed, i ordered online got shown that i was in for the december delivery of the ps5.
once finalized it had bumped me into 2021 shipment which according to a "storemanager" was january and i quote "you are lucky you got one".
while everyone else who preordered AFTER got their ps5 already and is selling the product on ebay and wherever to scalping prices.

their call center is shown on the website to be open from 8 am to 12 am on saturday, called at 8 and was told they open at 10am, very unprofessional not even changing their website informations.

Everytime I've purchased new games from eb games they come almost as bad as a preowned, the case has damage, there's smudges all over the disk

Thought it would be different after not using them for so long but low and behold, during the black Friday sales I buy and guess what, the games are just like preowned, why pay preowned prices when you can buy at full price, now your thinking eb games

The worst part is some games are exclusive at eb games meaning I'll have to buy from them again in the near future

Save yourself the trouble and buy from Amazon Australia, first they're cheaper than eb games for most games, second if you have prime you get free shipping instead of $20 dollar shipping majority of the time from eb game, also the games are fresh packed and have no way to lie about being "New"

The EB Games store in our city closed and the nearest one is a 45 minute drive one way from me. An individual in that store suggested I pre-order future games online as the delivery was within a couple of days after release date so I pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War over a month before the release date.

Canada Post says the game wasn't sent to them until more than a week after the release date and the expected delivery date now is November 26th., over two weeks after release date, if it arrives then.

All I got from EB Games was a long run around with them not accepting responsibility and constantly lying about when the game was shipped so I would highly recommend anyone considering shopping at EB Games for any products they handle to find alternate ways of getting their items.

I realize COVID-19 has slowed things down but after dealing with EB Games over this issue I personally find they're not a reputable honest company and they absolutely will not get anymore of my business. The best that can come of these complaints from people is that they either improve their service and business practices or go out of business and make way for someone more reputable.

I have no good feedback for eb games. I purchased the games I was looking for from multiple stores online all to be emailed or in one case called to tell me they don't have the games. This is in spite of them being available online for purchase from those stores which stated they had the games. This occured at grandview corners, strawberry hill, metrotown, guilford and two other stores. I finally then had to purchase a new version of the game for $20 more as they playd version seemed to be unobtainable unless shipped from a store several hours away in the province which EB games was unwilling to do. Then upon purchasing a new version of the game I was informed by two stores it was also unavailable and not in either of the stores that said they had it online a day or two later after I had purchased it. Finally I had to purchase a new version of the game from a store and hour swys from me which ended up actually having the game and had to purchase the other game in the series from a completely different store located a ways away too. After checking on amazon I see I could now purchase both games with no hassle for the same price for one game and a cheaper price for the other and have them shipped to my house and would've received them by the end of the week and I actually would've saved a week and a half of my time and saved my gas driving around and dealing with your terrible stores. Essentially, absolutely horrible service all around.

tried to order my consol and now it pops up only with a bundle, thats dirty. it said 499 for digital now its a bundle.. and of course its now sold out i want a rain check at the very least if not ill take my buisness somewheres else. the p3, ps4, and now the ps5 issues with your site. i am beyond fusterated with eb games. i waited like everyone else then found out last second i had to pay more to get the product. i will be doing a full review on eb games and i will put all my info i have on your store ratings'
