one star is to much,as a customer service, specially EB games store in top ryde shopping centre.
We bought a headphone and when we used it we found it’s got a fault, sometimes works and sometimes not , you can hear distortion when you play or listen music, when you touch the cable it’s get clearer sometimes ,or we totally lose sound .
Next day , and less then 24 hours we returned it back and asked for new replacement one , the store manager which she was very unprofessional and not respectful to her costumer refused to exchange it with replacement one .she tried on her phone, and she was lucky worked perfect couple of minutes,and then she gave us it back and told us to send it to their costumer care office to get checked by technician.we tried to explain her that headphone does work perfectly sometimes and then suddenly stops working, or we can hear distortion.
it is not consumer’s responsibility to send faulty products which is bought less then 24 hours ago from a store , to repair centre. Unfortunately we had very bad experience with this shop and personally don’t recommend anyone to buy anything from this (Top Ryde )store .

had an update issue with my ps5 while in Mt Gambier, rang EB games there, the guy said I needed a data cable which he sold me, didn’t work, he said I needed a new controller which he sold me, didn’t work. Went back to Adelaide and got it looked at, your guy sold me the wrong cable. Cost me another $60 plus the correct cable. Your store because of wrong information and wrong cable cost me over $200. Awful service and a lack of knowledge,doubt I will ever go back to your stores.

If I could give 0 stars I would. EB games don’t deserve the 1 star that I have rated them here - though I cannot leave 0 star feedback unfortunately… cut a long story short EB games think of profit first & their life long customers who spend thousands of dollars regularly as second rate. They have sold out of all their pre-order Pokémon UPC boxes to scalpers who then demand stupid prices on eBay. Rather than letting some people have a chance at owning this they have a preference to sell out! The item went on pre sale & was sold within one second to people with multiple accounts as the limit on the product was 10 units. Which is extremely high considering each unit is $250! Maybe EB games considers their clientele as dropkicks or people who haven’t finished high school - though I’m well educated & can work out what exactly they are up to! Myself & my friends who spend close to 50 K per year on items for ourselves as we are collectors of gaming items not resellers. Will definitely spend my money elsewhere from now on!
Poor customer service
Attended Broken Hill store and my son went through a rack marked under $23. Found a game which he wished to perchase but as told by the person on the checkout it was $36. When quizzed by the sign on the rack she was aggressive stating, ‘we have no control over customers putting games in there’. So I looked through the rack to find perhaps a third of the games in the rack were marked at a higher price than $23. Again I questioned the false advertising and again she was aggressive and argumentative. I simply said if you’re to busy take the sign down because that’s false advertising. Poor customer service. So much for the customer is always right Adele. Won’t go back.

Returned an Xbox series X controller…
Returned an Xbox series X controller that was packaged with the Xbox series X and they replaced it with a new boxed controller approximately 3 months ago. This controller must have been a dud as the right hand analogue stick started drifting, I took it to the Gungahlin store and they could not locate the previous transaction on their system where this controller was supplied as a replacement and logged a call with their support team. 2 x weeks later still no phone call and now on the phone for 40 minutes with a consultant searching their system for this transaction! Wasting my time because it looks like their team member gave me a replacement without putting it through their system - they will now call me back !
terrible customer service refused warranty after 1 days use.
Bought an xbox elite 2 wireless controller.
Double checked return policy with Mallory, sales person at time of purchase.
Controller disconnects randomly depending on game.
Returned the following day though without one component which had accidentally been left at home. Assured by Liz and Ben the refund/store credit will be given .
3 days later returned complete controller in packaging with all components. Kailah refused the warranty, claimed we had lied about the previous interactions with staff and stated the controller had fingerprints on it and no refund or store credit will be given.
Call to customer service the same day, spoke to Scergos. He called store and heard their side of the story, spoke with his team leader and refused refund or credit. After questioning how he can accuse me of lying and 100% believe the sales people and stating basic Australian consumer law with a faulty product he spoke to his team leader again.
Resulted in the promise of a return slip to test malfunction of item. Would not let me talk to his team leader but again promised a call back in 3 business days.

I know Some staff always open the new games CD to own play after they playing will selling back to customer quietly with new and new item price! If you buy on online you can’t check the cd, so when your parcel coming you’ll get a used Cd without seal! And the back of cd lot finger print!
