I have a long history of dealing with EBKE’s owner. In 2023 he stole a donation intended for the Ukrainian army, which was collected in Ukraine and Germany. A total of €28,000 was stolen — many people were affected. I use the word “stole” because there is a Dutch court ruling in our favour confirming this person’s personal liability with no time limit. It is funny to me that here he replies to the people whose money he stole by saying he doesn’t know them. In my case, I personally have a very recent history of our email exchange: just this August he called me a Ukrainian sheep, said I was barking on the wrong tree, used sexist insults because I am a woman, and cynically wished me a nice day in Kyiv “without Shaheds and Russian missiles.” Cynical indeed, because he stole money from the army that protects me. And now, in the comments here, he pretends we are strangers. 😀

Here is the latest update on our interaction, which I would like to document in a new review:

1. The owner of this business issued a threat: according to him, I would have to pay €500 for every negative review about him. He also threatens to sue me for €100,000 over negative comments about our “cooperation.” This person is convinced that he has the right to steal, and I have no right to make the act of theft visible.

2. Yesterday one of his suppliers of bicycle parts contacted me and confirmed similar behaviour: lies, financial damage to their business, threats to go to court, etc.

3. In 2017 the owner of this business was featured in a Dutch investigative programme about scammers — Opgelicht. In our messages he insists that the episode was staged, that he was set up, and that in the programme he himself never mentioned his 20 bankrupt companies 😀… He claims he sued the journalists and won the case, but of course this is a lie. The court decision is available online — the journalists won, and the owner of this business was ordered to cover the broadcaster’s legal fees, which he naturally never paid. I am not surprised, because he still has not paid the legal fees he owes in our case, which he also lost.

4. The owner of this business states on this page that all negative reviews are a conspiracy against him, and on his other Trustpilot page he even threatens to sue… Trustpilot itself. Another example of his unreasonable communication and his inability to assess his own responsibility for the crimes he has committed.

The person who owns this business has now revived an older brand name: Awesome Bikes / Awesome Cargo Bikes. I hope the arguments listed above, as well as other reviews, are enough to ensure that no one ever buys anything from EBKE or from any other legal entity connected to this fraudster.

I sincerely wish all victims to achieve justice and would like to remind everyone of the possibility of opening criminal proceedings, because even when the money is lost, justice can still be achieved by isolating a fraudster from the society they continue to endanger.

In 2023, the person behind this business — EBKE Bikes / EBKE Store — took a large sum of money from the Ukrainian-German community. Our investigation showed that there are many victims: hundreds, possibly even thousands.

The owner of EBKE has also reactivated his old brand, Awesome Bikes. The scheme is the same: he collects money for bicycles but then misappropriates the funds.

Avoid dealing with EBKE and the newly revived Awesome Bikes.

Owner of this company misappropriates your money by promising products but never delivering them, and he does not return the money either.
If you search online, you can find a Dutch TV investigative report showing that he has been running scams for over 20 years. Similar warnings can be found in Facebook groups related to the industry.
Do not buy here EBKE tries to flag negative reviews and change the name of this Trustpilot page so that new victims won’t see previous experiences.

Very bad experience.

The Ukrainian and German communities pooled funds for a large drone order from China through this seller. The owner of the business (actually it's EBKE, but the owner renames the profile to hide from bad reviews representing the actual experience with him) – promised fast delivery for nearly €30,000. In the end, he took the money and disappeared. He lost the court hearing, yet continues to run his business.

Open-source information shows that this is a typical practice for the owner of EBKE, with multiple testimonies already available – both regarding the current business (EBKE) and the previous ones.

Do not buy here.

BTW this must be 4th or 5th attempt to leave review on Trust Pilot, as EBKE closes its profile, renames it and threatens its customers who leave bad reviews.

This is my fifth (!!!) attempt to leave a review here, as EBKE keeps flagging feedback and closing their profile for reviews. It’s actually quite absurd — they pretend to be inactive and even claim they no longer support this profile, yet they still respond to complaints from people they’ve scammed and keep changing their EBKE name so that new victims can’t find all the reviews.

Nevertheless, here I go again:

I strongly advise against buying from EBKE. Many customers, myself included, have had negative experiences: orders are not delivered, and refunds are never issued.
There are multiple reports — including a Dutch TV investigation in 2017 (“Opgelicht?!”, still available on YouTube) — revealing a consistent pattern of fraudulent practices by EBKE’s owner. In that investigation, there’s even an interview where he admitted to having 20 (!!!) failed companies that he bankrupted after taking out loans.

The company has also been mentioned in court cases that were ignored — including mine. The owner was entrusted with money for a large delivery but simply took the funds and disappeared. He lost the case in The Hague but still hasn’t returned the money. Ironically, he bears full personal responsibility yet continues to gaslight people here, pretending he doesn’t understand what the issue is.

Based on my experience and the documented cases, I strongly recommend avoiding any purchases from EBKE.

This is a scam.

The owner of EBKE has lost multiple court cases, including one involving my own money. He is personally liable for the debt, yet here on this page he pretends not to understand what’s being discussed — systematically deleting negative reviews and acting as if he has no idea what cases are being mentioned.

Such manipulative behavior has already led him to change the store name and break the links to his previous profiles. I believe that after his civil losses, this person may eventually face criminal charges.

Do not buy anything from EBKE.

You will receive neither the bike nor your money.
The owner keeps registering businesses all over the EU, takes the money, and then files for bankruptcy. Do not buy here.

Do not recommend the company at all.

I paid money to get "Mavics" from China. Owner of the company sells bikes from China, so he promised to deliver drones too. However, he took the money and disappeared. According to his close relatives, this is a typical pattern and a long-standing business practice. I also met many other people who did not get their orders. Do not buy here.

I have purchased goods for about $30K at EBKE, have never got anything delivered, only promises or even insults. Despite a Dutch court decision in my favour in 2024, have not been compensated until now (July 2025). Any communication with the company failed. If I could have given a negative rating, I would have done it!

Still no sign of my money and the company is officially a scam. 5 months since i was supposed to get a refund.

By your bike elsewhere!

You likely won’t receive either the bike or your money back when you ask for it. They will likely eventually even stop answering!

Scammers, !!!STAY AWAY!!! from these guys. They will take your money and refuse to give it back, do not recommend to buy from them.

One week ago I’ve got an e-bike to Switzerland. It was my best decision to select exactly e-bike from EBKE. Beautiful model, amazing design, very comfortable seat, easy to use. I enjoy driving on it every time. And important thing for me is driving two people on it.

I placed a order on 19-9-23. I received a order nummer, no comunication like when order will be send received. On friday 22-9-23 I mailed to ask for a status update. Till now no reply.

Following on from earlier review in relation to delay in returning payment, I am now happy to say the money has been returned and all outstanding issues resolved. Happy with the outcome & wishing EBKE the best for the future.

Amazing bikes and the best service in the world.

My new EBKE is fantastic for trips around my local town and taking into the City. The battery range is excellent and it can be taken on the train as it folds up. The service I have received from the EBKE team after encountering a minor problem has been superb. Their after sales service is truly excellent.
