Breach of guidelines
Used to be exemplary. Now Terrible.
Like so many other recent reviews, the service since the takeover by Enix has been awful. I have been a customer for over 6 years, with multiple sites running without a problem. In fact, the customer service and technical support used to be exemplary. - I have even left 2 previous 5* reviews on this platform!
Since the takeover and system changes, the problems have been piling up. The recent migration was as others have described - Sites broken, SSLs not installed, DNS records not copied over correctly, email services down, emails lost.
Telephone support was removed along with web chat, so you are reliant on the support ticketing system - which isn't great if critical services are down and need fixing urgently.
I'm 4 days into the migration on my account and am still having to constantly chase support tickets, and re-explain issues.
I'll be moving to a different host ASAP.
A sad and disappointed, long time customer.
Avoid - Appalling Service and Support
We’ve been with EcoWebHosting for several years, but have unfortunately had to move all of our services away due to an increasingly poor experience. Like many others, our migration process was a complete failure, resulting in loss of access to our email—which took several days to resolve.
Dedicated phone support was quietly discontinued without notice, and support is now limited to an ineffective AI chatbot or slow, inconsistent replies from multiple agents. At one point, our domains were suspended by Nominet, and EcoWebHosting didn’t even notice until we pointed it out. This prevented us from updating nameservers, and again took days to resolve after they wrongly insisted it was our responsibility to fix with Nominet.
Despite submitting a formal complaint, no resolution was offered. They continue to falsely advertise services that are no longer available—such as Live Chat, an up-to-date Trustpilot score, and their Monthly Sustainability Report, which currently leads to a 404 error.
I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
Ecowebhosting recently performed migration
Ecowebhosting recently performed a migration, this is a notoriously difficult task to do because the nature of the task generally results in outliers. These outliers are anomalous to the process. I was one of these outliers and the solution required deep analysis with a logical and thorough approach. Ecowebhosting support team understood that I was likely to be worried about the outcome. The remained courteous and engaged throughout the process as a I result I slept at night and was confident that the following day progress would be made.
The complexity of different platforms, networks, software and technologies makes for an easy 'get out of jail'. They did not employ this tactic instead they supported and listened to me. A solution was delivered and I am very pleased with how the support team dealt with me.

Knowledgeable support staff
As a small business owner, a website is an interface between you and prospective customers so it is important to know that it is in safe hands. After a recent migration it became noticeable that an important part of my website wasn’t functioning as it should, (my fault) the staff at Eco went above and beyond to fix the issue with my website.
This used to be a good company
This used to be a good company. Then they began losing my data. The ticket system is ponderous, as subtleties are lost in such a way. But I am going to be leaving them. This morning, as I was using a folder under one of my email addresses, it simply disappeared. I have had emails undelivered. And there was a nightmare when they migrated their servers.
Was great years ago, but now an appalling service
Initially it was great - a few years ago.
Now the service is non existent.
Website slow to load so moved hosting elsewhere (siteground) about a year ago and just kept domain with ecowebhosting. Now I want to move my domain to the other platform as it’s expired with ecowebhosting and I cannot renew.
I can’t login and the password reset does not work. I have tried calling and it says they are unavailable due to a migration with no note on when phone support will be available again. It says if you need support to raise a ticket but you cannot do this without being logged in, so it’s a catch22.
I have no way of contacting them and my website is not available to view to my readers. This is embarrassing and I seem to have no way of solving the issue.
Do not waste your time with this company. They do not care. Previously they took payment for hosting even though I had cancelled auto renewal. It took a very long time to get this refunded and I needed to go via my bank.
We have lost all email communication…
We have lost all email communication for almost 7 days since being informed at the last minute that Eco Webhosting were moving to another provider.
They do not respond , will not take phone calls since their migration and seem to ignore their communication “ticket” system.
We are a small business who rely on emails for our sales enquiries.
Became a client some years ago
Became a client some years ago. Upgrade has been a complete disaster. I have lost approaching 3 weeks production with email service down and lamentably poor support, something that once was good. I can't even get support to unlock my domains so I can move my business to another hosting company. My consultant summed it up - buy from a small player and you get heartache. Ecowebhosting promised big but only managed microscopic.
Do not recommend...
Used to be great. Was told there would be a huge hosting migration 2 days before it happened. Migration completely messed up mine and my clients websites. Emails not working (and all previous ones lost). Communication is awful and rare. Will be moving to a new hosting company ASAP.
They fixed it until it was broken
They just decided to migrate their services to another provider, now all 15 of my sites need to be updated and each of those sites email addresses needs to be updated. This is beyond inconvenient!

From Excellent to Extremely Disappointing — Long-Term Customer Let Down
I’ve been a customer of Eco Web Hosting since 2018 and until recently, the service was absolutely solid. I’ve recommended them to countless others over the years because things just worked — fast support, reliable hosting, no drama.
But since the recent platform migration, it’s been a total nightmare.
We’ve had multiple websites go down, SSL certificates not renewing properly for days, and support that’s been vague, slow, and inconsistent. I’ve been passed between support agents with no real progress, just the same copy-paste responses over and over — meanwhile, we’re losing business daily. At one point I was told the issue was resolved, only to find it wasn’t… then told someone else would “look into it when available.”
The lack of urgency or accountability from Eco is unacceptable.
It’s genuinely disappointing to go from being a loyal promoter of this company to now telling people to avoid them. I really hope they sort things out, but as of now, I can no longer recommend them.
Messy Migration Process
Eco Web Hosting used to be really good until they decided to migrate their services. This migration came with different problems for more all the six sites I manage that are hosted on different accounts and the common result was broken sites of some backend functionalities not working. Some files were deleted in the File manager, some databases wiped out etc.
I really regret moving my services to them and I am looking for hosting elsewhere as I can't be wasting precious time fixing their mess.

Nothing like what it used to be
Used eco web hosting for 7 years without problem until their recent buyout by Enix. Nearly everything is broke. The latest problem which has spurred me on to write this review is that they have charged the wrong card since their disastrous server migration, yet the monthly invoice shows the correct card being used. Massive compliance breach. AVOID this company. We are migrating to a new provider at the end of the year... cannot wait!
Gone downhill, no communication about loss of basic features
unfortunately they have broken a lot of features and functionality which has made them impossible to reccomend anymore. you can no longer manage domain names even though continue to sell them with the promise of the basic features apparently no longer possible. support is saying its not possible and making out this is normal and not supported despite it previously working.
updated to 3* as support are very helpful, but ultimately they removed/broke things whilst removing the ability to manage domain names unless linked to hosting, and made no communication about this so you could change/plan things in advance. So if you have multiple domains or no hosting they now lack basic features (and still sold as supported).

I’ve been using Enix hosting services for over five years, and they’ve always been reliable. Recently, after a server migration, I experienced some issues with MySQL remote access. I contacted support, and they responded promptly, clearly understood the issue, and resolved it faster than expected.
Their communication was professional, respectful, and solution-oriented. They even followed up after the issue was resolved, which shows how much they value customer experience. I'm now able to continue my operations smoothly, and I truly appreciate the outstanding service.
Enix has earned my trust once again, and I’ve decided to stay with them instead of moving to a new host.
Polite, but useless.
We transferred our web site and email to Ecoweb a few months ago when regrettably our previous service provider (TSO) got bought over.
Unfortunately the experience with Eco Web has been anything but smooth. The web site too a while to transfer, various things not done, but at least when eventually moved it has been stable.
The email on the other hand has been a night mair. IFor quite a few week teh emails were simply not working and even now emails are not coming through smoothlu, , on time and in some case just do not make it. It has effected our business badly.
Whilst Eco Web people seem curious they just not get things done properly and it has really cost us.
No apologies or compensation for teh endless hasle, extra cost and lost business/
My strong advice is that if you depend in any way on a your web site and emails working properly do not go with Eco Web.

I have been using eco webhosting for over 10 years now. I know they have been bought out since. I completed one of their online web builder courses years back which was really useful.
I have also purchased domains with them and have 1 websites currently up and running.
Always excellent and easy to use. Always had good communication.
There was a little hiccup with a recent web hosting migration which caused my website to go down but I submitted a ticket and within 30 minutes my website was back up and running.
Very pleased with the service so far.
P.S. They also plant trees which is a very attractive part of their business.
