We couldn't have moved house at a worse time.Covid 19 lockdown coupled with moving from Scotland to England. Chris and his team were superb in everything they did. We found them very professional, competent, and sympathetic to our needs.

All this superb service is offered with a price that is very decent and not sore on the pocket.

Finally, I would add that all team members turned up in gloves,face masks and adhered to the 2 metres rule.. That for us spoke volumes for the quality of this company.

I am more than happy to leave this review as I had read lots of reviews before I decided to go with Chris. I lived in one of those awkward cobbled and side streets in Stockbridge and was really anxious about finding someone who could and would move me. On the move day the parking suspension I had booked was pointless as two cars parked in the suspended spaces and there was no way of moving them - trust me, I tried!! But alas, Chris and his colleague were not phased by this and absolutely brought a cheery sense of humour to what had started off as a stressful day. They safely parked the van and then proceeded to take over the moving of my boxes and furniture, a huge relief!
In no time and brilliantly packed and carefully manoeuvred, the van was packed and we were off. I rode along as I didn't have a car.
At the other end their professionalism continued, and their sense of humour, as they carried everything into my new home. Nothing was damaged or broken. What could have been a stressful exercise was executed with cheer, chat and a lot of evident professionalism, all for a very reasonable cost. Thank you Chris and your colleague.

I got several very detailed quotations from other Professional removal companies, many were much more expensive than Ideal Removals. Some might feel you'll only get a Professional service with those larger companies. But, Ideal Removals were so friendly and caring; moving full sized digital piano, large three seater couch and king size bed through tight door spaces and curved stair case. No marks on walls and always a smile. Would definitely use again.

That was second time using Chris' services to move home and both times he was punctual and extremely helpful. The move happened as planned, took no time at all. It's good to know there is a company one can rely on, no matter how big or small the job is. Will definitely hire them again for my next move. Highly recommend!

My Mother in law was moving to a supported flat from a house she had lived in for 50 years and we needed a removal company who would give the extra care.
Having once run a small removal company myself I was put in charge of sorting it out. I phoned a few old contacts and was confidently put in touch with Chris from Edinburgh Ideal Removals. This was the best thing I could have done as Chris was immediately reassuring and friendly on the phone and his fee seemed very fair for the job involved.
On the day of the move my Mother in law was anxious. She needn’t have been: Chris and Kyle showed up exactly when we agreed; took very good care of her belongings and were patient and supportive, even when she was humming and hawing about where to put the furniture.

Have moved homes 3 times and have used Chris all 3 times - he has never failed to deliver. From providing packaging materials to moving items within under 5 hours!! He and his team are amazing to work with and extremely professional. For the level of service his rates are extremely reasonable too. He is now almost family 😁.

Best removal company we have dealt with....used them to put into storage, remove from storage, remove again, into overnight storage....never a problem, polite, punctual, good communication, no damage, very competitive rates...what more could you want.....thoroughly recommend them

Very friendly, easy to deal with company that is reasonably priced. Can't fault them. They also agreed to dispose of my mattress responsibly (for a fee), after taking my stuff to storage. Great job! Thanks guys 👍

Absolutely brilliant with my slightly complicated move (including a piano and stairs and torrential rain) to Edinburgh and multiple addresses including interim storage. They did more than just move my stuff, handling the storage end for me and even closing off the account at the end. They were - wait for it - half the price of the first quote I got. First class service and really nice guys too. 100% recommended.
