Egypt is overall good to visit, but it is your luck who you will meet.
Plan was very loose leading to pay more for extra program.
Not every guide is professional. One in the Upper Egypt was good, informative and helpful. The other in Cairo was friendly, but didn't work on the program before doing the job, asked tourists to have liver sandwich instead of nice seafood plate in the restaurant to save time (and his money I guess) even though it was a full day tour. He asked if it was possible to have one more tourist who he met when waited for me outside the royal mummy room to walk and be guided with us (private tour when you sell me).
Moreover, after disappointing work, the guide asked me several times and even called me internationally to give 5 star review, even I had told many times I am not willing to.

We enjoyed a half day tour with Loay to several religious sites such as the hanging Coptic church, ancient mosque and Jewish synagogue. I especially appreciated walking around the site where Mary, Joseph and babyJesus lived while in exile from King Herod. Our guide Loay was informative and loads of fun. He's a bit hyper so we walked fast and covered a LOT of ground. In fact our trip was almost a 3/4 day tour. We ended the day with a feluca cruise and visits to the Papyrus museum and perfumery. A friend of Loay's gave us delicious pastries as we spent $ at the perfumery. I highly recommend this tour. Watching how our driver made his way around Cairo traffic was memorable too.

Company was punctual offering good service. We had a very good tour guide who spoke good English and was very knowledgeable.

Booking our private sightseeing tour was by fat the best choice we made when planning our trip to Egypt. Corresponding with the representative was efficient and the process quite easy. Once in Egypt, we were taken care from the moment we arrived, to the moment we were dropped off back at the airport. We had an incident when traveling to Luxor that had nothing to do with Egypt Day Tours, yet, they stepped up to assist us in making new arrangements. Many in our situation that day were not so lucky. Our guide Osman made us feel very safe, welcomed and part of their family. I'm very thankful we found them!

My family and I were on a trip with Egypt Day Tours from December 23rd-December 30th of 2018, and our experiences were mostly good. From the time we arrived in Cairo to the time we checked-in to the airport for departure, we felt as though Egypt Day Tours took excellent care of us and provided us with a broad scope of ancient and present-day Egypt. In most cases, any "issues" that arose during our time with Egypt Day Tours were outside of the their control (heavy traffic, occasional rude people, etc.).

Specifically, Osama and Ali made our visit very enjoyable, and our tour guide in Aswan and Luxor, Magdy, was phenomenal. If you have the ability to choose a tour guide if you are in Aswan and Luxor, choose Magdy! Magdy has personality, is kind, is accommodating, and provides the perfect balance between giving enough detail about the various ancient sites and allowing personal time for self-discovery.

The reason for the overall 4-star rating instead of a 5-star rating is due to the tour guide, Mahmoud, we had in Cairo. Mahmoud is very knowledgeable, but he lacks personality, rushes guests through sites, and tells too much information about everything. In addition to this, the places we were taken to for lunch with Mahmoud were lackluster, and we were told by him to lie about being American so that he did not have to complete certain paperwork (we were told to tell others we were Canadian).

In regards to our accommodations throughout our stay, what is considered "5-stars" in the United States is not the same in Egypt, but every hotel, cruise boat, etc. was adequate. All-in-all, though, I recommend this company for your visit to Egypt, as they will work with you to construct your preferable visit.

We were impressed with the Egypt tour personnel patience and timely response over our repeated clarifications. We were well received by their representatives from the Airport, supported us for the immigration during entry and exit from Egypt. Their guides were found dedicated, punctual in pick-up times, very kind enough, explaining with smiley face and adjustable in scheduling the trip events in accordance with our needs throughout the tour.



The tour program was well organized and executed per plan to the our complete satisfaction.

The only concern from our side was the room services & hospitality in ‘Le meridian Pyramids in Cairo’ and ‘Achti resorts in Luxor’ were not up to the level of our expectation for claimed 5 star status.



As an overall view, we were satisfied with service by Egypt tour.

Our time in Egypt with Egypt Day Tours was mostly good. We had excellent Giza/Cairo representatives (Osama and Ali). THEY ARE AWESOME! Our connections were always on time and as expected. We always felt as though we could contact our representatives at any time.

After leaving the Cairo airport and traveling to Aswan we had the most amazing tour guide. He was knowledgable, helpful and personable. He could really read our interests and expectations. Because of him (Magdy) we grew to love the area of Aswan, Edfu and Luxor. We could not say enough good things about him and his talents and expertise.

The one hiccup that we experienced was guide that was provided for us while in Giza and Memphis. We never really connected with him. Although he seemed very competent with the historical information, he lacked with personal skills. We did make it clear to our local representatives that this was a bad match. We did ask that when we returned to Cairo (days later) that we not have this guide travel with us to Alexandria. Well, our request was not honored and we had the same guide. This made for a rough day for both of us. He also kept telling the gate security guards at different tourist sites that we were Canadian to avoid another layer of security. American guests need to be recorded in a log at the security gate. To us, this was not acceptable and seemed a little sketchy. There is a reason for security. Were we compromised?

All in all, we were pleased with the company and especially the local agents (Osama and Ali) who made us feel very comfortable and our one tour guide (Magdy) who was with us during the cruise part of the tour.

Overall the trip went well and it’s Ancient Egypt and exotic Cairo so you really can’t go wrong. The problem was in Luxor with Egypt Day Tour. Our guideon Nile cruise provides by Egypt Day Tour (EDT), although was very nice and kind, was disengaged and never gave us a run down of what we are going to do or give us detailed information once we got to the sites. He rushed us through the sites very quickly (no exaggeration) and superficially explained and then simply told us if you have questions ask. (I know this because I learned more from National Geographic shows:) how can we ask questions about stuff we don’t know? Furthermore, The driver EDT provided played a trick on us where he “parked illegally” and then had a partner who came and yelled at him to ask for his licence etc. Then played “poor me” role so that we would feel sorry and give him bigger tip. Ofcourse when you are in the middle of a country you don’t speak language and noise everywhere this is more dramatic. Thankfully I speak the language and I knew this was a trick they do frequently, though I did not expect it from ETD driver. I reported to EDT but had no reponse to my report. Furthermore the driver then dropped us off unaccompanied at Luxor Train station (know to be slightly dangerous) and if I didn’t speak the language this would have been a complete catalepsie. Aside from these we had a fantastic trip as we booked the beginning part of our trip with different tour company as well as our trip once we returned back to Cairo.

Trip was very good. There were some changes to the programme suggested by the guide. These changes were probably worth, but would be better if offerred In advance especially since they were accompanied by extra (moderate though) cost.

Very happy! Everything was planned out an went very smoothly. Our driver was prompt with picking us up every time. He was professional an kind. Our tour guid in Cairo was very friendly an informative. My whole family enjoyed our two days spent with him learning about Cairo an Giza history. We also had a tour guide in Luxor she as well was very kind an informative. My family couldn’t have asked for a better trip. 3 weeks later an we are still talking about it!
Thank you for planning an schedule everything. Made our time so enjoyable out of 30 countries this has been our favorite experience.

Great tour with awesome guides!

We had a truly special experience with Egypt Day Tours. We had booked it in advance and our guide, Bassem, met us right outside the airport, on time, and ready to go. He was very friendly and made every possible effort to give us the best day in Cairo. He explained what the day would be like, and then he customized it to make the day as pleasant and efficient as he could. We squeezed a lot into the day and yet it didn't feel rushed or frantic. He held our things for us including cameras while we went inside the Great Pyramid, took plenty of photos of us throughout the day, and made fantastic recommendations. He was patient with us and even helped us find a beautiful rug in Sakkara within our budget. He helped us get a front-of-the-line pass at Cairo Tower, he got us a motor boat ride on the Nile when it wasn't windy enough for a felucca ride, and went along with us at the Khan El Khalili to help us bargain for the exact souvenirs we wanted. He was there everytime we needed him and with a great attitude. We would recommend him and this tour to anyone!
