Scam company. Do NOT use them you will be overcharged by hundreds of euros

As others have said, this is a scam company with hidden fees.

I was told I would be charged €150 for a callout request. The mechanic said the cost for 30 minutes work is €300, to which I agreed. After 2 minutes the mechanic said they could not fix the issue and still charges the €300. On top of that, they charged an additional €200 "weekend callout fee" which was NOT agreed upon or mentioned by phone.

Also, they did not inform me that prices were excluding VAT, which is NOT the norm when quoting from Business to Customer.

So the total price for 5 minutes "work" ended up being €778.

Anyone who gets scammed by these crooks, I'd recommend that you report them to consumer protection acm.nl and you can also report their Google ads as being fraudulent.

This is a huge scam

This is a huge scam. The price agreed at the beginning was already huge but after 20 minutes work we end up being presented with a bill of 600 euros??!!! Because of one or another thing that he had to do but failed to mention to us? And he wanted to convince us to do some extra check of the installation for 600 euros, saying it’s mandatory by law. Never heard of that so after a quick google search we figured that’s needed only for much older houses with old installation. Absolute scam, be very careful.

SCAMMERS

They are scammers. Their charges are outrageously high. I had to replace my fuse box, and they charged me €1,900 for a job that could have been done for half the price. Initially, they quoted €1,200, but later added service charges and VAT on top of that. There is absolutely no transparency in their communication.

This is a scam. Avoid them.

They connected me to HBM installateurs, which is clearly a scam. They tried to charge us €1600 to install a ceiling lamp after giving me an estimate of 400, which I still thought was expensive. Avoid them. They threatened to call the police on us when we protested. Horrible.

CAREFUL SCAMMERS

I have really bad experience with this company. I have scheduled an electrician over the phone and asked for prices. Nobody was able to tell me how much two lights on the ceiling are going to cost. The only thing they told me was that it is going to be 39 euro starting cost (not mentioning its price without VAT)

When the electrician arrived he did not bring ladders even tho I have mentioned that I need to do ceiling light. After stepping on my chairs with shoes he showed me prices on his iPad (fixed prices which I asked over the phone and was not able to get) mentioning that it is going to be 189 euro for 30 minutes and every next 30minutes over 30 euro.

Those prices are absolutely shocking, that is most then doctors and any highly specialized job in Amsterdam. I have refused to pay it and the electrician left with 47 euro, my wasted time and nothing fixed at my house.

An absolute joke and scam this company. Be careful.

Avoid

Rude and unprofessional. They advertise quick response and I notice all the complaints about their pricing. Avoid this business.

Extremely expensive

I was waiting for an appointment with an electrician from 13-17. He showed
up at 18.45 and quoted 630 euros for work that he said would take one hour.
When I was making the appointment I was deliberately asking about the affordability of the service and I was reassured it was a good deal. I rejected the offer but still had to pay 47 eur fee. This was a very disappointing experience.

Fraudulent Company

"Avoid this company at all costs. They provided us with a price estimate of €835, but when they carried out the work, they gave us an invoice for €2,700 (a 320% increase). They did not notify us, despite having numerous opportunities to do so, and threatened us by saying they would not leave unless the invoice was paid. We called ElektraBedrijf to resolve this matter, but they falsely advised us to pay the invoice, promising a partial refund to make things right. That was a complete lie. After we paid the invoice, ElektraBedrijf immediately changed their stance and said the invoice was final. They even went as far as to falsify our signature to make it seem as if we had agreed to the price increase. This company is 100% a scam. All of their "5 Star" ratings are ChatGPT generated, and it reads as such.

Predatory practices and absolutely criminal behavior

We wanted to have a 1-phase wire changed to a 3 phase wire and had them send out a team. The electricians gave us a quote for €835. They then informed me that they had to order the cable and they would be back on the 8th. We paid €184 as a down payment. The 8th arrived but the electricians did not. I called Elektrabedrijf who refused to give me their subcontractors' (HBM Installateurs) information. They would only say that we had an appointment for the 19th (which we were not informed about). The 20th came and HBM does show up to do the work. Once the work was done, they presented us a bill of €2679,46. -Not including the 184 I had already paid. I was shocked. They gave us NO warning or discussion for this price increase. If they had, we would have told them to stop all work. When we asked them to leave us the bill and we would deal with this later, they said they would not leave without us paying. We got on the phone with elektrabedrijf.nl who told us it was best for us to pay and that they would refund us the money because they take such matters seriously. We feel incredibly pressured and so we paid. Huge mistake.
Since then, we have tried to work with elektrabedrijf.nl to resolve this, sending many emails because we cannot afford a +2600 bill. And it has been outrageous to say the least. First, they said that they forgot to add the 3-phase cable and tax to the estimate. A hypothetical situation: If I told you that you could get a new laptop for €200, and once it was sent to you, present a bill of €5000 and say the 200 is only for shipping, would that be correct and honest business practice?
They then tried to blame me saying they called and asked about the price increase. Categorically untrue. Next they tried to say that a quote is just an indication and not what we will have to pay. When it was pointed out that by law, any increase of more than 10% must be meet with the consumer's agreement they moved on to the next argument. Which is that they are an emergency service...which it is stated nowhere on their website. But what truly turns this sinister is their last response. They have now sent us falsified documents saying that I had signed for work, when I have not signed anything. I repeat. They FALSIFIED my signature on documents. Both Elektrabedrijf and HBM Installateurs are in on this scam. Looking at the final bill, HBM Installateurs has also charged us twice for diagnose and to add salt to the wound, did not even connect the wire to our meter box. I kid you not, in total we have paid them €2863,46 to run a wire 30 meters. Do not, under any circumstances, think to use this company or any of their so-called "sub-contractors". We have filed a criminal report against them for the false signature along with filing in civil court for dishonest business practices.

Very unreliable company

Very unreliable company. Requested an offer for installing breakers box, very standard work. They said €39 for visit to make an offer. OK, fine. Then the guy comes, spends 15 minutes to take pictures and to ask questions - then presents a bill for €90, because somehow this is considered "extra work". He shows me a cost estimate for the work which is seriously over-priced, and with a lot of potential additional charges.
Oh, and in the end they never even sent ta formal offer - you know, the service for which they charged for.

Incompetency and predatory charging

I call them to ask for a installation that could accomodate an induction stove. They indicated that I needed a STEDIN come to my house to install 3-phase, and that only then they could come back and work. However, this information was incomplete and got charged about 200 euros for this.

Why? Turns out that they could've already started with the installation and have it ready for STEDIN to connect the 3-phase. For some reason (I hope due to greed and not due to incompetency), they wanted to come back after STEDIN to do the work, when this is not necessary.

In addition, they failed to mention that STEDIN will not install anything as long as I had a 4-pole switch for their safety.

And got charged 200 euros for this poor job...

Predatory pricing is the business model

Here is how it works:
- You call, they say '€39 visit fee', additional costs would be told to you by the electrician when they visit.
- Electrician arrives, now the fees are becoming visible:
- €222 plus BTW for the first 30m
- €150 plus BTW for the time after that
- €225 plus BTW per hour worked
- Plus excessive charges for any material (in my case €365 for materials worth €60).
- Plus montage costs!

They triple charge the work, they quote without BTW, they treat travel time as work time, they balloon the materials costs.

Long story short, a bill of €400 (excessive) became €1.500, for less than 30m worked + 25m travel time to their garage to get the material they needed.

Then you are supposed to haggle with them to get items down, which is part of the business model as well.

After three calls I got '50% off' from the original bill, and still paid way too much as the material costs were 6X ballooned. More pushback on emails and they returned 20% of my payment, so that its just a very expansive job and not an 'outrageously expensive' one. Thus, if you somehow stumbled upon this service provider, remember you can get the bill reduced and over charges reimbursed.

A week later, I get a call. Please remove your review. When I ask why? they say: 'we have 70 sub contractors, its them who scammed you, not us'. Oh, so take responsibility and refund me the excess charges? 'no, we won't do that. Its in our T&C' - well then...

Beware!
