unnecessary cost

They are good at their work and arrived quickly, within an hour. However, the cost they mentioned over the phone was incorrect.

On June 9th, there was a lightning strike in our area which caused the fuse box to trip. We reset all the fuses except one, which continued to cause issues. We called "Electricientilburg" and they said a team would come between 10-11 PM. I asked for the cost, and they mentioned 69 euros for the visit, after which they would check and inform us of any additional costs.

When the electrician arrived, he said the following costs applied:

69 euros for the visit
Around 65 euros for diagnosis (which I felt was unnecessary since the visit cost should include some basic diagnosis)
Around 180 euros for a single fuse
12.50 euros each for two wires for the fuse
Around 150 euros for the emergency call (which seemed unfair as they offer 24/7 service and I didn't specify it was an emergency; they booked the appointment immediately)
In total, the costs were around 650 euros plus around 140 euros VAT, totaling approximately 790 euros for a single fuse change. This is an exorbitant amount for a single fuse replacement.

The electrician changed the fuse in 10 minutes and settled for 550 euros without an invoice, but that amount is still too high. I am very dissatisfied with this experience.

Therefore, I suggest that you please provide clear and upfront cost estimates in the future.
