I love it / Best Customer Service / Highly recommended

I am using Elevenlabs since 1.5 years now and it helped reach my project goals very beneficial to me. with 22$ monthly it the best money I ever spend for a product.

Currently I have a privat challenge that prevented me to continue doing my work as I was doing the last 1.5y, I reached out to customer service expecting to get a template answer. But to my very surprise Elevenlabs Support has offered me a very good and beneficial solution helping me to finish my project I am working on. Thank you very much for the help and solution on first contact. You guys are great and really for the user, no bla bla, directly check and solution! ❤️

Classical Latin

It's been a while now, probably a few weeks, where I've tried to locate a voice doing classical, Roman Latin. If you enter the search terms in Google, you come across the ElevenLabs site offering you just that. However, when logging onto said site, the voice in question proves elusive. The AI quest on the site itself just kept rebooting and eventually "disappeared". So, is it there or not, and why doesn't it feature in the voice library? It creates a quite disturbing sense of clickbaiting.

Scammy !
So I'm signed up to a paid sub , thinking I could write , have ai narrate and export my projects , it's crazy .you sub for an amount of credits , you have to use the credits to type and hear your project and edit your project.....then pay more credits to export the data you just paid credits for to.create the only positive thing I can say about this page is ...it sort of works ....after you get ripped off. Oh it will censor your work like as if you need to be treated like a child . AVOID

Thanks for sharing your feedback. It sounds like there may be some confusion around how billing and credits work.

You only use credits when you initially generate audio. Credits cover the processing required to convert text to speech. However, once your content has been generated, you can currently download it at no additional cost from your History or by exporting your project in Studio.

If a project isn’t fully generated yet, you’ll only need to generate the missing parts. You won’t be charged again for sections you’ve already generated.

We also offer free regenerations in the UI (Text to Speech playground and Studio). For each generation, you get two free regenerations when the criteria for free regenerations are met, so you can adjust delivery without using additional credits.

If you believe you're still having issues or want further clarification, please feel free to open a ticket with customer support, and they can take a look. I'd also like to look into this further, but I couldn't find any matching tickets based on the information provided.

Excellent Support and Outstanding Voice Quality

I recently had an issue with a payment at ElevenLabs, and after reaching out to their support team, I received help very quickly — exactly the kind of timely response I had hoped for. The team was incredibly friendly, understanding, and truly pleasant to communicate with.

I’ve used ElevenLabs for several months across different projects, and the quality has always been consistently impressive. The multilingual voice options are fantastic, and I’ve been extremely satisfied with every single language I worked with.

Bad quality

Terrible. On the free plan, I attempted a simple task: turning text into audio. In every sample, the voice pace abruptly changed, either mid-sentence or toward the end. I checked all the filters and options, but the issue wasn't on my end; the feature is simply not working properly. If a simple function is already creating errors, I have no intention of upgrading.

I forgot to turn off the auto cancel

I forgot to turn off the auto cancel, and they charge me for another whole year. Even though I did not use anything, and I requested the refund right away, they did not want to issue a refund.

Scam.

Horrible

The simple fact that the software doesn't work and there are no instructions, you cant speak to anyone accept an AI that is very limited and can't do anything but apologize is appalling. They take you money and do not deliver. I think that is called theft.

They steal your content

They use your text content to plagiarize and train their own AI even if you are subscribed. This is very exploitative. The setting to disable training their language model is not available on the mobile app and is hidden so you will only find out too late when multiple titles have been generated using your material. Scammers in corporate suits. That's what they are.

Disappointing Experience and Poor Value for Money

I found ElevenLabs to be very frustrating and not worth the money. When choosing a voice, you can’t preview your actual text with it—only a tiny sample. Once you use it, your credits are consumed, even if you just want to test how it sounds.

If your text doesn’t have perfect prompts and spacing, the voice reads continuously without natural pauses, which sounds robotic. And when you go back to fix something small—like adding a pause—you have to regenerate the entire text, which again uses up your paid characters.

To make matters worse, if you pause or cancel your subscription, you lose all your accumulated characters, even though you’ve already paid for them. Overall, it feels restrictive, costly, time-consuming and not user-friendly for anyone trying to produce natural-sounding audio.

You are correct, each generation uses processing resources on our end, which is why credits are consumed every time you generate audio, including when you regenerate. However, we do offer two free regenerations per generation if you’re not entirely happy with the result. These have some limitations: you can’t change the voice or the text during a free regeneration, but you can adjust settings or simply regenerated if you are not happy with the delivery.

If you're interested in learning more, you can find several articles about this in our help center.

For longer projects, the Studio also offers a more granular workflow where you can split text into paragraphs and regenerate only the sections you edit. This means you don't have to regenerate the entire content, which helps reduce credit usage.

Regarding pacing, achieving good, natural pacing in your generations is primarily influenced by the voice you choose. While small adjustments to punctuation, spacing, or line breaks can definitely help, using the right voice for your desired delivery is the biggest factor in achieving natural pauses and reducing a robotic cadence.

Lastly, you are correct that our service is a subscription service. You get access to features and credits to use those features as long as you are subscribed to the service. Once you cancel or downgrade your subscription, you will lose access to the features and credits you had for that specific subscription tier.
