We feel a little awkward

This emanualS.com is absolutely terrible for the homeowner who only needs a single service manual because this website requires a automatic renewal subscription. When they can't find a particular manual the reply is "I'm sorry our publishers don't have this available. It's very rare that our suppliers or we can't source, so we feel a little awkward." and no refund possible. A better website may be the one called emanual.com (no s) at the end) as it will sell a manual for $32.99

Hi Edward,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’d like to clarify a few key points.

emanuals.com is a membership-based platform, not a pay-per-manual site. This is clearly explained at sign-up and on our pricing page. Your membership gives you full access to over 5 million manuals across vehicles, machinery, appliances, and more. If you’re only after a single manual, we understand that a membership model may not be the right fit, which is why we offer a 3-day free trial to explore the library before committing.

In your case, our system shows you’ve already downloaded four manuals. If you’d purchased those individually elsewhere at $32.99 each, you’d have paid over $130. So not only is the membership working as intended, it’s already saved you a significant amount — and that’s exactly what we’re here for.

While we do our best to provide coverage across as many makes and models as possible, there are rare cases where a manual isn’t available. When that happens, we’ll always be upfront about it. However, once membership services have been used, including downloads or platform access, our standard refund policy applies.

And yes, there are other pay-per manual sites out there. Both platforms serve different types of customers.

We appreciate you giving the platform a try, but it’s important to recognise the value received before calling something a scam.

Thanks,
emanuals.com

This company is a fraudulent scam!!

This company is a fraudulent scam. I signed for a three day trial and canceled within the time frame they still charged me three months worth of subscription fees. No receipt. Deceptive marketing and unauthorized charges!! If my bank hadn’t sent me a suspicious activity alert I would’ve never known.
Contacted them and said that in their fine prints hidden somewhere on Mars they don’t do refunds. Kick rocks is what they’re basically saying. Should put it in bold on their website “If you don’t know we don’t care, figure it out yourself”.

Hey Phil,

Thanks for leaving your feedback. We’d like to clarify a few key points for you and for anyone reading.

You initially signed up for our 3-day free trial, which includes view-only access to our full library. You later upgraded to a full membership, which is when billing begins. This is explained clearly during the upgrade process, along with links to our pricing, trial limitations, and refund policy; none of which are hidden or buried.

For the record:
• Your welcome email (including account setup details and cancellation instructions) was sent on Nov 18, 2025, 12:59 AM GMT, and opened by you at 8:29 AM GMT that same day.
• A follow-up email with your account and login details was sent on Nov 18, 2025, 12:59 AM GMT, and opened at 5:00 AM GMT.
• You then set a new password at 5:01 AM GMT, confirming access and use of the account.

Your account also shows active usage, including downloads, which is why our standard refund policy applies. As clearly stated, once full membership features are used, such as downloading manuals, viewing PDF manuals, etc refunds are no longer available.

Additionally, all users manage their own subscriptions directly from their accounts for security reasons. We provided you with step-by-step guidance when you reached out, and we’re always happy to help further if needed.

We understand it can be frustrating when expectations don’t match the service, but we’ve made every effort to be transparent and supportive throughout.

Thanks,

Hi Travis,

We’d like to clarify a few important details regarding your account and this review.

Our records show that no charges were successfully processed on your account. You attempted to upgrade to a paid membership by selecting the monthly plan, but the transaction failed due to insufficient funds. As a result, your account was never activated as a full membership, and no payment was taken.

You signed up using an email that does not match the one you used to contact us, which may be causing further confusion. For security reasons, our team asked you to confirm whether the address on file was yours. We have to protect user data and cannot release account details without proper verification.

Also, to set expectations clearly for others reading: the 3-day trial provides view-only access to PDF manuals. Downloads are only available to paid members, and this is made clear throughout the sign-up process.

We’re always happy to help if you need support accessing your account or understanding how the service works, but there were no charges, no active membership, and no scam involved here.

Thanks,

A company that has more unhappy customers than their manuals

This company doesn't put energy and resource to collect manuals, they lead their resource and energy to scam users' money.

Before 3-day free trail, I googled the manuals I'm looking for and it showed up in their website. I then start my free-trail and found out most of the manuals I'm looking for actually don't accessible(you can't even find them). I finally decide to subscribed one-month service, their website says you can download 25 manuals, but I searched for 4-5 manuals, only found 1 available, and the picture quality not in a good printing quality. I decide it's not worth it and I cancelled my subscription, they immediately stop my ability to access my member service, that means I can't keep using my 24 left unused chance to download manuals that I already paid for!!! Usually you cancel a subscription, it means you don't renew the membership, doesn't mean you give up the right to access the left over period of service. Not only they terminate your ability to access the service you already paid for, they refuse to refund!

This company probably collect more unhappy customers than the manuals. Be aware.

Hey Sophie,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed review. We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed, but we want to clarify a few key points.

First, emanuals.com is a membership-based platform, not a per-manual sales site. When you signed up, you began a 3-day free trial, which provided view-only access to PDF manuals. You then chose to upgrade to a monthly membership, which ended the free trial and unlocked full-member features, including downloads. As part of this, you successfully downloaded a Ford manual, confirming usage of the service.

Regarding cancellation: as stated clearly on our website and during sign-up, when a subscription is cancelled, access ends immediately. This isn’t a hidden policy - it’s communicated during the cancellation flow and outlined in our terms. Since our platform provides instant access to digital content, cancelling a membership is not the same as letting it “run its course” like physical subscriptions. This is common on digital marketplaces that deal with licensed, non-returnable content.

Our system works this way because once a member accesses or downloads licensed manuals, we are contractually required to compensate the content providers, regardless of whether all available downloads are used. That’s why refunds are not offered once access has been granted, as explained to you via support and in our published refund policy.

We also work with third-party publishers and libraries that include millions of manuals. While we strive to offer wide coverage, no platform can guarantee 100% of all makes, models, or years, especially for niche or uncommon variants. We are always happy to help locate alternatives if more details are provided.

We understand that digital subscriptions aren’t for everyone. But we’ve designed our service to be transparent, cost-effective, and flexible, with clear terms at every stage.

If there’s anything else we can help with, we’re here.

Thanks,
emanuals.com

Not all manuals are available.

I’ve been using Emanuel’s for 2yrs now and while they have been great and the the manuals are of reasonable quality easy enough to find with the search bar
Not all manuals have been found though.
I was surprised that I couldn’t find any manuals for Caterpillar D6B series
There was also a Hino model which I can’t recall now.
Over all from motor bikes to dozers most are available

Hi Kurt,

Thanks for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. We’re really glad to have had you with us for the past two years, and that the platform has served you well across everything from bikes to dozers.

You’re right — while we cover millions of manuals, there are still a few gaps, especially with certain legacy models like the Caterpillar D6B or some Hino variants. We’re always working to expand our coverage and can often source additional material on request. Feel free to reach out anytime.

eMANUALS is GREAT!!!

I have been an eManuals Annual subscriber for two years and have used their service for several years. I get wonderful customer service and the selection of manuals is huge. I have saved a lot of money and have the manuals in pdf format, I can simply find the section or pages I need and print them off and get to work. They have manuals on many, many items other than automotive repair manuals. I highly recommend eManuals and their staff for your manual needs.

SCAM SCAM SCAM

SCAM SCAM SCAM - As others have found, this site is a scam - you don't get 3 free days - but you won't find out until you hit the paywall - there doesn't seem to be any way of previewing or using this "free trial" without hitting a credit card option - tellingly there's no paypal or intermediary option, and immediately I did try using it, the payment was blocked by my bank - so these guys are obviously on the watch list. The "account" option is also frontloaded - your "password" arrives via an email !?. On backing out of the whole thing - the "apology" page is headed "ITVibe Inc." which looks to be another of those marketing scam helper websites.. As for that reviews.io page - thats also suspicious.. emanuals.com - if you are a genuine outfit, your standard bot excuses as seen in replies here only make your situation worse..

Hey Stylers,

We understand your frustration, but your review contains several incorrect assumptions that we’d like to clarify - both for you and for others reading.

First, emanuals.com is not a scam, and our 3-day free trial is genuine. It offers view-only access to millions of PDF manuals, without download access, as clearly stated at sign-up and on our pricing page. Like most digital services, starting a trial requires a valid payment method. This is standard practice across the industry to prevent abuse, and the $1 pre-authorisation is automatically and instantly refunded.

We do not currently use PayPal due to integration constraints with our subscription management system, but this is expected to change in February 2026. All payments are handled securely through Stripe, one of the most trusted and widely used payment processors worldwide. We do not store or process your card information directly, and we never charge users who cancel within the trial window.

Your reference to “ITVibe Inc.” is due to our parent company’s web infrastructure provider and is not unusual for businesses that license technology platforms. It has no bearing on our legitimacy.

As for Reviews.io — it’s a verified third-party platform used by thousands of trusted brands. Unlike open review boards, it ensures that only real, paying customers can leave feedback.

Finally, we do not use bots for our responses. Our support team is real, based in the US, and responds to thousands of users every week.

If you’re unsure or need help, we’re always happy to provide direct assistance. But we encourage anyone reading to base their decision on facts, not assumptions.

Thanks,
emanuals.com

Hey Darin,

We’re sorry you feel this way, but we’d like to clarify a few key points for anyone reading this.

Our 3-day trial includes view-only access to PDF manuals, as clearly stated on our pricing page and throughout the sign-up process. You chose to upgrade to a paid membership, which then allowed you to start downloading manuals — including the one you mentioned having trouble with.

Once you download or use membership services, your access is fully activated and logged. We maintain a complete audit trail of account activity, including logins, file views, and downloads, to ensure full transparency.

If you’ve chosen to dispute the charge with your bank, we’ll provide them with the full history of your account and usage. We’re always here to assist genuine users who need help navigating the platform, but this is not a case of dishonest practice - it’s your misunderstanding of how the membership works, as you thought you would be able to download manuals for free during the free trial.

Thanks,
emanuals.com

Emanuel support is nonexistent

Emanuel support is nonexistent, only get an email saying you did something wrong or you had opened the file 3x which never happened. Plus you will never see a refund. Stay away from this group. My terrible service started on November 4 2025 and I still have not received my refund or any useful support from a live person. In short avoid at all cost.

Hey Terry,

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, but we want to clarify a few important points.

First, you are still in active contact with our support team, and we’re continuing to assist you. In fact, we last replied asking you to provide the specific installation error so we can help resolve the issue — but we haven’t yet received a response. We’re here to help, but we need that information in order to assist you effectively. Alternatively, we can book you in with our remote tech team.

Second, our system tracks file access accurately. If you received a notification about opening a file multiple times, it’s because the platform logged multiple attempts — not something we arbitrarily decide.

Regarding refunds: as clearly stated in our terms, we do not offer refunds once membership services have been used. The moment you access the platform and begin using the library, you’ve unlocked access to over 5 million manuals, not just a single file. This is a membership-based service, not a one-time product purchase.

We’re still happy to assist with your installation issue and would encourage you to respond to our last email so we can get you up and running properly.

Thanks,

Garbage

Garbage. Completely untrustworthy site that does not honor customer satisfaction. They claim they provide a free trial but you get sucked into downloading content which then nullifies your free trial. I cancelled right away when I saw I was unsatisfied with their content, they still refused to refund the money. I communicated with them over several days and reinstated my account. They refused to retroactively give me access from those lost days when communicating with them. Their justification, other subscription-based sites operate this way. Crap. They will never survive with this mindset, and I also question if they actually have permission to sell their manuals/allow others to access them because they use already available content on the net. Very very unhappy.

Update: After this initial review, less than 24 hours later my account access was "blocked". I of course emailed the company and explained that I had access as they had informed me until Jan. 7th. They then emailed me and informed me that the account was terminated and my money was refunded. This triggered a fraud alert from my bank. So several issues here.
-Firstly blocking my access to my account without informing me.
-terminating my account after I emailed about being blocked.
-refunding my money without informing me, this triggered several fraud alerts from my bank.
-not allowing me access to my downloads due to my account termination/being blocked
-terminating my account without my knowledge due my review of the company and their practices.

It's pretty obvious to me that this is something that is dealt with often for this company, many of the responses I got were very scripted and long, detailed and almost AI generated. Why not just change your practices to provide honest and clear services. A free trial is a free trial, no stipulations, "gotcha's", conditions or deceptions. Allow the free trial to only view online docs with no ability to download. But that would be too simple and not capitalize on people's refusal to read the convoluted terms and conditions. I probably would not have left my initial review had I been granted a full month's access as I had asked, but because I was screwed once again by "the man" I left this review. In their defense and I know I am rambling, they do provide full manuals of pretty much every machine I could think of. I did find a page on the PDFs that were smudged/blemished somehow but I couldn't tell you which one because ya know "blocked", which seems quite odd to me.

Hey Brian Simich,

We have carefully reviewed your comments and would like to clarify several points for your understanding and that of anyone reading this review.

First, we do not sell individual manuals. We provide membership access to a digital library. This is clearly stated throughout the site, during sign-up, in the free trial confirmation email you received, and again at the point of upgrade.

Second, the free trial worked exactly as described. It provides view-only access to PDF manuals. Downloads are disabled during the trial. When you chose to click Download, you were shown an upgrade screen that explicitly states that activating a paid plan ends the free trial immediately and starts billing. This was not automatic, hidden, or forced. It required a deliberate selection and confirmation on your part.

Third, server logs confirm that you successfully downloaded member-only content after upgrading. Whether the content met your personal expectations is subjective, but you were granted and used access to premium digital goods. Under US & UK digital goods regulations, this makes the purchase non-refundable. This is standard practice across digital subscription services, not a unique feature of ours.

Fourth, your claim that access time should be extended misunderstands how subscriptions work. Memberships run on fixed billing cycles from the date of purchase, not on how many days a customer chooses to log in or communicate with support. Even so, we reinstated your access as a courtesy so you could continue using the service for the remainder of the paid cycle without any additional charge.

Finally, regarding the suggestion that our content is unauthorised: we provide OEM manufacturer manuals and licensed third-party publications, used daily by thousands of customers worldwide. Claims otherwise are incorrect and unsupported.

We understand frustration when a product is not what someone expected, but this situation was not caused by a malfunction, deception, or refusal to help. It was the result of a user-initiated upgrade, clearly disclosed terms, and access to digital content that was successfully delivered.

Thanks

CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS

I signed up for the trial because I needed one manual. Somehow the company assigned me as a regular customer. I have been getting charged $33 a month for nothing. I have corresponded with them on several occasions and they keep telling me to cancel the account. I have cancelled it twice and I was still getting charged. They run in circles when you ask a question and they do not provide a reasonable response. Great manuals for DIY, but I am not going to pay for something I don't use on a regular basis.

Hey Jimbo,

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. We need to set the record straight.

First, we do not sell individual manuals. This is clearly explained at sign-up, on our pricing page, and in our help articles. When you joined, you began a membership that includes access to our entire digital library of over 5 million manuals — not just a one-time download. If you needed a single manual, it was entirely your responsibility to cancel your membership before it rolled over, as stated multiple times during the sign-up process.

Second, to clarify: we do not cancel accounts on behalf of users for security reasons. Our support team provides clear, step-by-step instructions to help you cancel through your secure login. If you were still being charged, it means your membership was not cancelled correctly from your end.

We understand that not everyone uses the service regularly — and that’s exactly why we offer a 3-day trial. However, if you choose to continue beyond that period and access the library, ongoing charges will still apply. You’re welcome to cancel at any time, and we make that process simple and accessible 24/7.

We’re always happy to help members use the platform effectively, but we also expect members to manage their own memberships responsibly, just as with any other digital service.

Thanks,

I don't normally write reviews but

After reading many of the bad reviews here I was hesitant to sign up, however I took the risk and signed up for a trial.

Unfortunately after previewing a few manuals, as my needs are quite specific they didn't have exactly what I need for my workshop, so I did cancel. However their coverage seems quite vast and the manuals are covered in great details. Perfect for many smaller garages or DIY mechanics at a fraction of the cost of alternative products out there.

I wasn't charged, it's quite straight forward on the website, people who've complained below clearly didn't read what they were doing. It's not difficult to understand so I feel their reviews are unfair and unjustified. I'd imagine the majority of people using the service are very happy with it and just haven't thought to leave a review.

Sign up for the trial, pay attention to what your clicking on and follow their directions and you won't have a problem.

Hey Steve,

Thank you so much for your honest and well-balanced review. It’s genuinely appreciated. You’re absolutely right that platforms like this often attract negative feedback by default, and it’s refreshing to hear from someone who took the time to explore the service properly and provide a fair assessment.

Just to clarify for others reading: Trustpilot isn’t our primary review platform. We actively encourage all members to leave feedback on reviews.io, where the majority of our customer reviews are collected. That’s likely why you see fewer balanced or positive reviews here. That said, we’re now planning to encourage more of our users to share their experiences on Trustpilot as well — so thank you again for helping set the tone.

We’ve also requested your account details via Trustpilot, just so we can personally thank you and send over a small token of appreciation. If you’re willing to share that info, we’d love to follow up directly.

Lastly, for others reading: we make every effort to be transparent. The trial includes full view-only access to millions of manuals. Cancelling is straightforward, and if you’re unsure, our support team is always available. For most smaller workshops and DIYers, the value here is significant — but we understand it won’t be the perfect fit for every setup, and that’s exactly why the trial exists.

Thanks again for being part of emanuals.com.

Calling this 'company' a scam would be offensive to scammers

UPDATE TO RESPOND TO THEIR HILARIOUS RESPONSE:

'Did not use the free trial as intended'. No, the pop up asking how I wanted to be billed came up immediately after signing up for the free trial, so I had no option to use the free trial, I was charged immediately.

'TEN FERRARI MANUALS.' (Repeated for frankly, laughable, emphasis). At no point did I deny attempting to download multiple manuals? As I said in my original review, there was no option to view the manuals online, whether that's due to a glitch in their system or they simply don't have that functionality, I don't know. Further to this, only one download was even successful, so maybe they should revisit the greatly inflated commercial value stated. Or maybe they should revisit the functionality of their site to allow people to view things online, but then that would stop people being able to request a refund after being scammed out of money.

'The text size is determined by the device's settings'. Partially true - probably the most true thing they've ever managed to type up, however the text size declaring the payment is far smaller than the other text surrounding it. I can only imagine why that might be, maybe my device's settings? Or maybe an intentionally misleading pop up with extremely small text, set to be that size by themselves rather than my device's settings. If it was the device settings, why would all of the text on that pop up not appear the same size?

'You actively downloaded high value digital products'
If only they were as good at reading as they are at scamming! Only one download was successful, and they were downloaded because of the lack of functionality on their site for online viewing.

'We can offer to reinstate your membership allowing you to continue using the service for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for'. Thanks ever so much for your very generous offer, but I think I'll pass on that one. I'll just take a refund instead please, especially if my access has been blocked immediately after cancelling, thanks!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
After looking online for a particular manual, emanuals supposedly had it.

I started a free trial, at the end of the 'free trial' sign up page, they asked how I wanted to be billed. As I only wanted the one manual, I selected monthly. The fine print text at the bottom of this pop up says that you will be billed immediately for this, since I was on a phone and the text was so small, I wasn't able to see it but they took payment immediately. I tried to reach out immediately to request a refund considering I only wanted to view the one manual which should've been available in this free trial and while I was awaiting a response, tried to look at the manual needed.

They didn't have an option to view this manual online, so I had to download it just to be able to view it, so I decided to download all of the manuals that they had for this particular car as it was a difficult manual to find and I didn't have much hope that I'd be able to get exactly what I needed.

The downloads failed on all but one manuals, surprisingly enough, the manual the download worked on didn't have what I needed.

Emanuals then took me downloading the manuals as me using the service and refused a refund, they had instant answers and concerningly snarky responses back, showing that this is their entire business model and have it all copied, pasted and ready to go.

An absolute fraud of a site, not even worth the click off of Google that they get as they misrepresent the names of the manuals just to get you to fall for their little scam they have running, let alone the $30 I'm out of pocket.

That's not even mentioning the customer data that they freely post in response to negative reviews, again, what a trustworthy, reputable company to have your data.

Hey Sommer,

We’ve now reviewed your account activity in full, and the situation is obvious.

You did not use the 3‑day free trial as intended. During the free trial, downloads are strictly disabled. Instead, you manually chose to upgrade your account and immediately proceeded to download TEN FERRARI MANUALS. TO REPEAT: TEN FERRARI MANUALS. These manuals have a combined commercial value of several thousand dollars.

No legitimate business offers unrestricted, free downloading of high-value OEM repair manuals. The upgrade confirmation you approved made it clear that this action ended the free trial and activated a paid membership. Every customer sees the same information, whether on desktop or mobile, and the text size is determined by the device’s settings — not ours.

You used the full benefits of a paid membership, downloaded a large volume of premium material, and then attempted to claim that this was accidental or unclear. Your account data does not support that, as your digital audit trail confirms the steps taken.

You were charged correctly, in accordance with the terms you agreed to and the actions you took. Calling the platform a “scam” doesn’t change the fact that you actively downloaded high-value digital products and are now attempting to obtain a refund after receiving them.

Even so, we remain consistent with our policy: digital downloads are non‑refundable once accessed. As previously stated, we can offer to reinstate your membership, allowing you to continue using the service for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for. You are also free to cancel at any time before your next renewal date.

These are the only available resolutions based on the terms and usage of your account.

I purchased the membership and within 1 day, that credit card was compromised and used several times fraudulently. It was a new card that had never been used before. This is how I know this site compromised my card.

Hey Marc,

We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand your concern. That said, we want to reassure you that our payment system is highly secure, and protecting customer data is a top priority at emanuals.com.

We use bank-grade encryption (TLS 1.2+) across the entire platform, and all payment details are processed directly through one of the world’s leading and most trusted payment processors. At no point do we store, view, or have access to your full card information. The payment is handled end-to-end by Stripe on secure servers, not through our website infrastructure.

In the years we’ve been operating, we’ve never had a confirmed case of card compromise linked to our system. If we ever detected any indication of such activity, we’d take immediate and transparent action. The fact that your card was compromised so soon after use is frustrating, but in many cases, fraud can occur due to malware or phishing on a device or an unsecured network, rather than through the site where the card was entered.

We always recommend scanning your device for malware or browser extensions that could be capturing data without your knowledge. It’s rare, but not impossible, and we mention this only to help protect you going forward, not to shift responsibility.

We’re confident in the safety of our platform and work hard to maintain a secure, trustworthy environment for all members. If there’s anything else we can do to support you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Thanks again for being part of emanuals.com.

Thanks,

Hey Raffaele,

That’s not correct. The 3-day trial gives full view-only access to all PDF manuals, not just the title pages. You can scroll through and read every page within the manual during the trial period.

What’s restricted is downloading and access to non-PDF formats, which are features available to paying members.

We make this clear during sign-up and on the pricing page to avoid any confusion. If you had trouble accessing the full content, our support team is available to assist you.

Thanks,

I was charged $33 for a subscription that I never signed up for. I filled out the info but never submitted it. There is no way to cancel it because I never created an account. The phone number doesn't work. What a shit company.
Update to emanuals response:
Please send and post a copy of these supposed emails. The only emails I have are from 10/17/25 when I had to contact you via WhatsApp to cancel.

Hey Jeff,

We’ve reviewed your account activity in full. Our system confirms that a subscription was successfully created, and access to the platform was used. You also opened every email we sent, including your unique login link, which was used to sign in — a process that can only occur with access to your own inbox.

While we understand it’s easy to forget the steps taken during sign-up, the evidence shows the subscription was activated and accessed. That said, you have been in touch with us, and your plan is now canceled.

We’re here to help, but we also aim to keep things transparent and fair for all users.

Thanks,

Hey Nejc,

We’d like to clarify this for you and anyone else reading: our 3-day free trial is 100% free and gives view-only access to over 1 million PDF manuals. It does not include downloading, ZIP, or software files — this is explained clearly on the trial signup page.

In your case, instead of just viewing manuals, you chose to manually upgrade to a monthly plan in order to download the LIEBHERR A311 Litronic Hydraulic Excavator Operation & Maintenance Manual. That action immediately ended your trial and activated a paid membership, which you confirmed on your side.

Later, you decided to cancel your plan under the reason “Service Unsatisfactory.” At cancellation, the system shows a pop-up reminder that cancelling will immediately revoke access, which you also confirmed. The screenshot you later shared was simply the reactivation option — not evidence of any “scam.”

We’ve been transparent with both our trial and membership terms. Everything that occurred was a result of your own selections and confirmations.

Thanks,

Do not use Emanuals

Wow! I wish I had checked Trustpilot before falling for the three-day trial scam like many others. When I inquired and said the site was misleading, Kayden informed me it was not. I never could get the manuals to download.

Hey Lisa,

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify a few important points.

Our 3-day free trial provides view-only access to over 1 million PDF manuals. This is clearly stated before sign-up. Downloading manuals, or accessing ZIP/OVA software files, requires an upgrade to a paid membership.

In your case, you chose to upgrade, which ended the free trial and activated the monthly membership. This upgrade is always confirmed through an on-screen prompt before any payment is processed. At that point, you began downloading, which is why the membership fee was applied.

We understand that expectations can sometimes differ, but there is no “scam” involved — only the terms you agreed to during the upgrade. For full transparency, all pricing and trial details are also available on our Pricing Page at the top of our site.

Your account has since been cancelled and no further charges will apply.

Thanks,

An absolute scam

An absolute scam. When you subscribe for the 3 day free trial, it's impossible to cancel your "subscription" before the trial ends. I couldn't find anywhere on their website and trying to get a response from them is a joke.
I just stopped the cc.

Hey Danie,

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration; this is absolutely not a scam. Managing or cancelling your membership is simple and transparent: just log in to your account, head to My Membership, click the three dots under Action, and choose how you’d like to manage your plan or free trial.

To clarify further, you contacted us yesterday, and our support team responded in under an hour with the exact steps—and even went ahead and cancelled the trial for you as a courtesy. This was confirmed with you directly via email.

We pride ourselves on prompt support and fair service. Just because the cancellation process wasn’t clear to you doesn’t make it deceptive. We’re always happy to help, but please be fair in your review.

Best regards,
The emanuals.com Team

This website is a SCAM

This website is a SCAM. I signed up for a 3-day free trial, but they took money from my bank account without warning. I wasn't expecting that—I just wanted to try it out and explore a bit. But they charged me right away! Scam! Scam!

I spoke with Gerry on Live Chat, but he couldn't help me—just repeated their policy. Honestly, it's nonsense. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. IT'S A SCAM!

I've reported it to my bank and hope they can get my money back.

LISTEN, PEOPLE: DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. IT'S A SCAM!

Hey Tomasz,

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way; let’s set the record straight for you:

When you signed up for our 3-day free trial, you were clearly shown that, unless cancelled, it would auto-renew onto a monthly plan. This was stated during sign-up, the upgrade pop-up, and the confirmation email. Nothing was hidden. You actively upgraded to a full membership during your trial, which immediately ended the free trial and initiated your chosen plan.

After upgrading, you accessed and began using our service, downloading manuals. This is verified in your account history. Once services have been used, a refund is no longer applicable, consistent with our published refund policy.

We understand not everyone reads all the information presented to them, especially when rushing through the process. But that doesn’t mean you’ve been scammed. We are not a scam. We are a legitimate company, offering access to over 5 million repair manuals, used by thousands of satisfied customers worldwide.

We’re always here to help and clarify, but throwing around accusations doesn’t change the facts. If you need help navigating the platform or understanding what’s included, we’re happy to assist, but your refund request has been reviewed and remains ineligible.

Best regards,
The emanuals.com Team
