They can’t really be trusted

They sold the RS2 as having an IMU, it’s still doesn’t do ANYTHING. Instead they realised a rebranded RS2+ as a version “RS3” having tilt(IMU function) and that can only be used in their own app, it could really be used with other apps if they wanted it to but they charge a premium to use their app!

Hi Andreas! Unfortunately, just having an IMU chip inside is not enough to provide tilt compensation. Tilt compensation and IMU are not the same. The IMU in the Reach RS2/RS2+ is not accurate enough to be used for tilt compensation. It requires completely different hardware to implement this feature. This is why we never promised tilt compensation in Reach RS2/RS2+. The Reach RS3 is not a rebranded RS2+, but a completely new device.

At the moment, tilt compensation is indeed only available in Emlid Flow, but it is fully functional in the free version of the application.

I bought 2 set of M2 ( including Hex ant., Lora, cable) at first all hardware works fine I've been using it coupled of days on the fifth day of using , one of the M2( rover) has encounter power issue , so i post it on the Emlid community , and they replied my concern about the hardware and guide me thru the process, I am happy for the quick response of the emlid support, and don't hesitate to reach out their emlid support team they accommodate well our concern,
more power Emlid team. Shalom!

Four years ago, we made a strategic decision to integrate Emlid products into our operations. Time and again, this choice has been validated by the robust and consistent performance we’ve experienced with their devices.

The RS2+ unit, in particular, exemplifies Emlid’s inventive spirit and deep understanding of industry needs. This device offers broad capabilities while maintaining outstanding reliability, a feature we greatly value. Got the RS2+ so that I could put a…

UPDATE May 23

Applied APN to input as recommended. Worked great! Thanks.

Got the rs2 Plus so that I could put a SIM card in and get access to NTR IP without having to use my cell phone. Was very disappointed to find out that there's no provision for compatibility on the Verizon network

advantages of using emlid

I give five stars because it is very easy to use, the interface is very friendly, and with the 30.1 update many bugs were fixed, I also like that the updates are released quickly. I have been a user since 2018 and I have really liked the direction that your software has taken.

1A support and products

We are using the EMLID products for a complex measurement and surveillance setup. The EMLID support is very helpful and answers imediately to our questions.
We highly appreciate the EMLID products and communications.

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service, have been having ongoing 3G cellular connectivity issues using a sim where I have little to no reception even when in direct line of site from a tower (other 3G devices have good reception), and their solution is to use my phones hot spot. Very poor... even in their reply to this review their suggestions is to buy the new RS2+ or use a mobile hotspot. This would mean that we would have to buy a portable hotspot to leave with the device when using it as a base for NTRIP. A big part of why we purchased the RS2 was because of its 3G sim… and a workaround is not an appropriate solution to something not working.

As you have correctly pointed out, Reach RS2 does not support 4G networks, making it impossible to work with a SIM card that only supports 4G/LTE. However, we do have a workaround that allows you to use the device with a mobile hotspot in areas where 3G is being taken down. We also would love to point out that our latest device, Reach RS2+,
comes with an LTE Modem. However, using a phone’s hotspot, both Reach RS2 and Reach RS2+ can utilize 4G, LTE, and 5G networks.

Emlid RS2

This is the best GNSS System I have used and having used NTRIP for all my surveys meant that I could finish my work in one base setup.

You can never go wrong with Emlid Reach RS2.

Great product but lacks survey features

The product is very well designed, and very rugged.
My only issue is the UI for the phone app, and its ease of use. With it being a survey device and application, there are quite a few things it lacks.
