Additional panels and Inverter upgrade
Empower Energy added more panels and upgraded our inverter on the system they installed 2 years ago. They handled the design and DNO and as per schedule the scaffolding and installation happened on time. 4 panels added and the new inverter installed in about 3 hours in all. Sorted a couple of issues with the solar energy apps on my phone before they left. All very easy and it seems to be very effective with peak power already well above the old 3.67KW limit in early January. The old system generated more than their original estimate in the past 2 years so I am hopeful this upgrade will be similarly effective. Easy to recommend.

Fantastic Company
Organised a solar and battery install with Empower. They organised it all, including the DNO and walked me through the process. Ended up waiting 6 months for SSEN to switch over the power supply for the property to 3 phase, then got two weeks notice from SSEN that they were carrying out the work. After speaking to the guys at Empower they managed to re-arrange their schedule to fit my installation in with SSEN doing their work. The guys who did the installation over the 4 days were very polite, courteous and professional. All mess was cleaned up afterwards. Nothing but a top notch service from this company and a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend them.

‘In-Tray’ panel solution fabulous for our period (c. 1850) farmhouse
We hired Empower Energy to install 22 solar panels at our period (c. 1850) farmhouse. The team were excellent throughout and the system was installed and commissioned to plan.
One of the key concerns we had at the outset was that solar panels would detract from the ‘period’ charm of the property - we went for the ‘in-tray’ panel solution and the final results are fabulous. Not only does the installation look aesthetically pleasing, the SolarEdge solar solution is generating electricity with their high output panels. Delivered to budget and we would recommend this company.

At the beginning of September an excellent service.
At the beginning of September I had a solar panel installation placed on my detached double garage. The installation team rolled up on time,completed that day, and the electric aspect all coupled up the following day. All work completed to my satisfaction particularly as the sun was shining brightly.
Very happy with all aspects of the installation and the contact with the head office staff….Thank you nice dealing with a reliable company.

Roger and George turned up on time had a look around to see where everything was got their tools and boxes out then crack on with the job with speed and efficiency and having to work with and around the plumber that was on site too. They did a great job and explained everything to me.

Excellent service, did exactly what they quoted, came when they planned and team were very friendly. The product has been very effective and I've not spend anything on electric since (except for the standing charge). Office support has been excellent too, great communication.

Amazing installation
We had a solar energy package installed in February 2023, comprised 15 panels plus all necessary equipment. Very pleased with installation, staff were swift, methodical and pleasant, a joy to have them on site. 6 months on I am amazed at efficiency of the installation, so much better than an installation on previous property. Great service and willingness to go above and beyond
This is the second time we've used Empower Energy to install solar panels at our property. The first time they installed panels on our roof and a Tesla battery in our garage.
This time we asked them to install solar panels on the wall of our property and they were the only company out of about 5 or 6 that I contacted who were willing to undertake this work, given that it's so unusual.
They did a neat job although there were delays during the installation as they needed to visit the site several times on several different dates to bring different mounting hardware as they admitted they didn't know how they would mount the panels until they got to site. Because they were so busy, this meant the system ended up being only part installed for a week or two, and the rest of our roof-mounted solar panels and battery had to be left switched off during this period which was a little frustrating ... but in the grand scheme of things it was a minor blip.
The second delay came after the installation when the readings on the Tesla app seemed strange / inaccurate and it turned out one of the current clamps had been put on the wrong wire in the gateway cabinet. This was resolved although there was another wait whilst an engineer could be allocated to come and do the work ... it was unfortunate that this coincided with one of their electrical engineers leaving the company, meaning they were slightly short staffed ... but again, not a major issue.
After the installation I noticed that 3 of the panels had a strange blue colour cast to them whilst the rest were pure black. They admitted this was an issue and they arranged for 3 new panels to be swapped over at no cost to ourselves which was great.
Overall we're delighted with the end result, and we've recommended Empower Energy to several neighbours, at least one of which has gone on to use them to install panels on their own property.

I chose Empower after a friend at church recommended them. She spoke so highly of them so I requested an at home quotation.
David, the sales consultant was excellent. He took time to explain the panels and listened to my requirements. At no time did he try to ‘hard sell’ the product and I felt in control of the whole process from start to finish.
The installation was carried out with very little disruption over a day and a half during which I had phone calls from the Empower office to check that everything was going smoothly. Every member of the team, both on site and in the administration, was excellent, friendly and instilled confidence.
The after sales service has also been first class with phone calls to check things were going smoothly and if I had any issues. Thanks to Jonny for his follow up calls.
I am already saving money and selling back extra capacity to the grid. A win-win all round!

Outstanding from start to finish
Outstanding from start to finish - from the initial surveys by Dave and Mark everything went smoothly. It’s so rare these days to find companies with this level of product knowledge and customer care with exceptional communication throughout. Above all Dave and Mark and the Empower team have almost eliminated my Octopus electric bill with a perfectly sized and designed ground array with 2 Tesla batteries. I would recommend their competitive pricing, and service to others. Great job!
