Empowerly has been an incredibly helpful resource, especially with my conselour Katharine. She has always provided clear and important guidance, and was very helpful when I was developing projects and ideas or joining competitions such as Science Fair. Additionally, Empowerly's resources such as their resource questions and Adcom review are incredibly useful.

Empowerly has helped me a lot in strategizing my application process. The counselors are very knowledgeable and responsive.

Kate has been an absolutely incredible counselor. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and always comes prepared with valuable information about programs, admissions pathways, and strategic planning. Beyond her expertise, Kate is warm, kind, and genuinely motivating, qualities that make the entire process feel encouraging and manageable.

I am very grateful for the support and guidance my daughter received from her college counselor, Shahrukh Malik. What I appreciated most was the high degree of authenticity of his expert feedback, which allowed us to understand the college application process in a much more detailed manner. It was wonderful to see how he was able to guide my daughter to bring out her voice and personality through the application, as I believe his support made the process so much smoother and less overwhelming for students already juggling many priorities. The support was also comprehensive; from brainstorming essays, managing timelines, and understanding different applications, and addressing all our queries, which my daughter found extremely empowering. He was a constant source of encourage throughout the entire application journey. Truly a wonderful counselor who cares deeply about his students!

She is smart, thorough, engaging, committed and really helps keep things on track and moving along. They have great tools and the counselors post session notes are detailed. I was so happy that we found Empowerly for my daughter's college application. I requested Katie Chu due to the many outstanding reviews and she became our beacon of light. She understood my daughter's goals and helped in many ways possible. Through her recommendations, my daughter found the best internship and through that opportunity, was able to publish her first research paper in National Journal, and still 2 more papers to be published. Katie was there every step of the way: map our target schools, writing essays, manage extra-curricular activities, even there to remind her to not miss deadlines. The best part for me is that I got be stay on the sideline and cheer her on, without worrying myself to sleepless nights. My daughter has been working with Raisa Alan at Empowerly for this past year. Raisa has gone above and beyond to schedule meetings and review documents even when she wasn’t supposed to be working. She always answers email within one day, even if it is a busy time. Raisa takes the time to really get to know my daughter and her needs. She is patient and focused when they are on calls and is super helpful at keeping my scattered daughter on schedule for important deadlines. She keeps me in the loop so I know what is going on. Most importantly Raisa provides the support my daughter needs to be successful while still making sure the applications are authentic and student driven.

Katherine has supported both of my kids and has been an invaluable asset for college prep. She has always been available 7 days a week and her expertise with college admissions has exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Katherine and the Empowerly program!

Catherine has been a powerhouse of knowledge, experience and super smart counselor.
There are many counselors out there but I found Catherine as super smart counselor who constantly gave my family right guidance for past 2+ years which saved me lot of money and time .
She is to the point direct and doesn’t waste your time or energy and infact the opposite .

Empowerly is a great place to find a counselor who will fit your needs and for us it happened to be Catherine .

We cannot recommend Empowerly enough! As parents unfamiliar with the complexities of the US schooling system, we were at a total loss. Empowerly has been a true blessing that kept us from "spinning our wheels."

Sharukh, our counselor, was phenomenal. He provided my daughter, Liya, with highly strategic advice on her applications and essays. Writing over 30 essays for various applications was overwhelming, but Sharukh provided the necessary structure and guidance. He helped Liya optimize her communication, ensuring she powerfully conveyed her background and experiences to maximize her chances of success.

The guidance was so helpful and effective that we've now confidently enrolled our son, a freshman, in the program as well.

My instructor Miss Katherine Chu is a wonderful instructor who has constantly guided me and helped me through my high school journey. I am continuing to work with her on my extracurriculars, my courses and more. On 9/25/2025, we went over my clubs and what I could research into based on my interest in biology and medicine. This was very useful to me and I was able to explore more into that area.

Our experience with Empowerly has been very positive overall, and working with Kate has made it even better. Before meeting Kate, we had a good start with Empowerly—the platform was organized, and the initial guidance helped us understand the college planning timeline. However, once Kate started working with our child, the entire process became clearer, more structured, and much more personalized.

Kate is incredibly prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. She takes the time to understand our child’s strengths, goals, and challenges, and then guides them step by step with patience and clarity. She is easy to communicate with, always well-prepared, and provides thoughtful feedback on essays, activities, and planning.

What we appreciate most is the combination of Empowerly’s resources with Kate’s individual support. Together, they created a system that significantly reduced stress for our family. We’ve seen real growth in our child’s confidence and organization. We are very grateful for Kate and the Empowerly team and highly recommend them.
