Appalling -Encore Behave Like Fraudsters
My experience is the same as mmay others.
Booked a show using a Virgin Experience voucher in February 2020. Show cancelled, given new dates, cancelled again London theatres re-opened in May 2021. Since October 2021 Encore which can only be contacted by email just keeps responding with automated stalling responses.
the last one stated : "your query is logged and we will be reaching back out to you as soon as we have some good news"
I am just drafting a letter before action to start the legal process to recover the value of the voucher

Scam. Awful. Purchased tickets for 1st October on 26th September. A week until the show and no tickets no confirmation. I have already requested a refund via PayPal or for the company to resolve the issue and SUPPLY THE TICKETS?!?! Which we would rather. Got a fob off email suggesting they’re aware of my issue but that they may not resolve it until 48 hours before? Do I book train accommodation etc to then be out of pocket for a show we won’t get to go to? Do they expect me to book all that at 48 hours notice which no doubt will be stressful and very costly due to the short notice? Incompetent. If you’re aware emails aren’t sending then sort it out?! Hire someone to send them to save the queries the other end. This was a birthday present for my son and it’s turned into something which quite frankly we could do without.

Two shows cancelled - I've asked for a refund on multiple occasions via email, several of which were unanswered. They eventually offered a voucher but I told them that I'd waited long enough and wanted my money back. No response. After numerous chasing emails, I was finally offered a refund within 5-10 working days. Still no money. I am now considering a section 75 claim under the Consumer Credit Act through my credit card provider.

Like the person before me. Kills me to give them one star. My daughter brought tickets for Pretty Woman back in 2020. Theater change and covid I guess can't be helped. Re-scheduled to this year, but they won't confirm if we still have a booking. They don't answer emails or the phone. We have resorted to trading standards. After two months never supplied the tickets, have lost out on £175.
Contacted them two months ago to book Mamma Mia tickets paid for through Virgin Experience Days. No contact since apart from fob off emails. I complained to Virgin Experience Days who advised Encore were and I quote "ignoring them" & were prioritising their direct customers. Disgusting service, it ruined a weekend in London which was a treat for my elderly Mum as I was never supplied with the tickets or meal we had paid £175 for. All I have is a useless voucher which I cannot redeem. Avoid these incompetent crooks.

As others have experienced, I didn't receive any tickets. I didn't realise until the day before the show that I had no tickets. I emailed them in the evening and waited for a reply. I then read all the reviews below and was convinced i wouldnt get them as it sounded like a scam. However they responded to my email by the following morning with the tickets. They said it was because they'd registered me under a different email address (No idea why) but that they would amend it and send me the tickets. I now have them, phew!

Do NOT buy theatre tickets via Encore. Customer service is non existent. They just take your money and don’t care.
You cannot contact them by phone. I have an Encore credit voucher of £350. I want to use it to buy 2 Saturday matinee tickets to take my granddaughter to see Lion King. I am unable to redeem it. Their web site is hopeless and does not show any matinee performances. They do not respond to emails. I have been trying to contact them for 3 weeks and now getting very stressed as I fear my voucher is going to expire. I cannot afford to lose such a large sum. This is tantamount to theft.
Encore need to be held to account but I doubt Encore cares. They just take your money.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - One of the worse ticket companies I have had the misfortune to deal with, I get Covid has caused issues, but they are beyond belief.
I don't believe it's staffed at all, I've sent 3 emails of complaints with no response, our tickets were rescheduled and we ended up being seated nowhere near the value we paid, I complained that i wasn't happy with the seating arrangement, and without a response to months of being ignored, they simply cancelled the tickets and said "re-book"
Went to rebook and there are now no seats available on the dates, I never asked them to cancel them.
Waiting for REFUND - Hopeless Service
I purchased tickets for Cinderella which was cancelled. Was given voucher, which should have worked at checkout but no possiblility of putting in the code, so was charged again. Asked for refund in JULY 2021 - no email reply or phone contact - still waiting for £258 REFUND - hopeless customer service - I don't even think anyone is working there!!! Do not use them!

Quick to take money. No customer service contact phone number. The E ticket system states they will reply within 5 working days. I have sent 3 with no response to any of them. More than a month has now passed. Poor at best!

E-tickets haven't been re-issued after performance postponed due to COVID. I have tried unsuccessfully to contact them, the telephone lines are closed, no response to emails or ability to contact via social media - it is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

Carousel tickets (4) to celebrate my Dads 89th birthday never arrived from ENCORE. A booking confirmation did. this was produced at the box office but flatly refused as not valid. had to buy 4 more tickets from the box office at a further £140 on top of the £312 for the original tickets which never came. I will pursue this dreadful company TO GET MY MONEY BACK using whatever channel i can find. AVOID ENCORE AT ALL COSTS!

I purchased tickets to Mary Poppins just before lockdown to which I received vouchers for when the theatre opened again. I cannot just book the tickets I have to contact encore to book through them with the vouchers. I have email 3 times trying to book for November with no reply. The telephone lines are not working due to Covid !!!!!! Please we are all back working.... Be very careful when booking through this company which I will never do again.

Despite the covid restrictions being removed and all other businesses adapting, Encore Tickets continues to keep its phone lines closed and has no chat function, simply using Covid as an excuse. They provide template responses to emails many days later without actually addressing the issue. They have advised that they cannot book our tickets but have not said why, this is despite the West end shows being open and taking bookings. Very poor service once they have taken your money, I would avoid at all costs.

Similar to others I had an extremely bad experience with encore tickets. Just don’t use them - it will save you all the stress. Experience: booked and bought a ticket for Cinderella the musical, no confirmation email although funds were withdrawn, sent many desperate emails and heard back NOTHING. Appalling!!! Take your money elsewhere. Box office at lwtheatre were ace and managed to issue my ticket (but had to make an extra trip just for this).

I've had to put in a claim through paypal, as they refuse to reply to emails and you can't get hold of them. My show was cancelled and they won't give me my money back. AVOID this company. I booked under another company name not realising I was using them, so check when you book, or you will have a lot of frustration. Other small companies are coping to speak to their customers through COVID so why can't they?
