I have just found out today that though we did get our Solar panels, the work of the Architect who was supposed to put in before and after certificates enabling us to make our claim was in fact never completed. The Architect was utilised by Engel Energy specifically to carry out the work for such certificates and indeed was responsible to forward such certificates to the appropriate athorities on our behalf. This was not done and thus we have lost our claim for 3000 euros towards the cost of the solar panel installation.

Me acabo de enterar hoy de que, aunque recibimos nuestros paneles solares, el trabajo del arquitecto que debía presentar los certificados de antes y después de la instalación nunca se completó. Engel Energy contrató al arquitecto específicamente para realizar el trabajo y, de hecho, era responsable de enviarlos a las autoridades competentes en nuestro nombre. Esto no se hizo y, por lo tanto, hemos perdido nuestra reclamación de 3000 euros por el coste de la instalación de los paneles solares.

After investing more than 15000€ in a fotovoltaic instalation (solar panel's+inversor+ charging point) the Kw/hr production is much much lower than promised by Engel (40% less), a technician made an inspection in January this year 2025 (after several calls/emails, since summer last year 2024 trying to push for a resolution) and he came to the conclusion that the installation was not properly done or the inversor is faulty... Today (08/04/2025) after more 3 months of Engel technician diagnosis, Engel's in-service support has not processed or solved the situation, and of course has no answered to my raised incidences via phone/emails since January, it is absolutely unacceptable the in-service support, even more considering the big investment done in this kind of installation.....

We had our solar panels installed in May and we downloaded the app provided by the engineers,"Fox Cloud' , so that we could monitor our production and useage. The app showed that we have been producing more than we use from the outset. We were therefore very surprised to be get a bill for our electrical consumption in May. we contacted Engel and this was when we first learned that out electricity was supplied' by a powere distribution company named Alumbra Energia. We continued to get demands from June through to December but no answers to our questions. We provided screen shots from their app to show that in fact, they owed us for power we had produced surplus to our requirements. We also requested that they send an engineer to check that the system was operating as it should. There were no meaningful responses from Engel and emails to Alumbra simply resulted in a 'failed to deliver' message.
We have switched supplier and lodged our complaints with the Spanish ombudsman, the Hoja De Reclamaciones. Strongly advise everyone to not only stay away from Engel but also to make sure any comany they deal with is in no way associated to Alumbra Energia

The representative of ENGEL ENERGY came to my home to give a quote for a solar panel system. He said it would be possible to have the solar panel system and if we sign the contract and paid a 10 per cent deposit straight away he could give some extra panels free of charge. Before I signed I quickly looked online and saw that ENGEL SOLAR had very bad reviews. I mentioned this to the representative and he said that ENGEL ENERGY was not ENGEL SOLAR and not to worry. He said ENGEL ENERGY work with big companies one of which was Media Markt. So I paid the deposit. Later an installer came to the house to review our electrical system to see where they would place the cables, he was wearing a T Shirt with ENGEL SOLAR on it. I immediately got in touch with the representative and he said do not worry they are ENGEL ENERGY.
I received a message from the installer that they could not proceed with the installation. I immediately contacted the representative and he put in a claim for the deposit back. He said that we would receive it in our bank account in 5 days. Months later and after contacting him again and again he said his work was done and he had made the claim for refund and that I should be patient the money was being returned. I eventually contacted the ENGEL ENERGY head office, they asked me for my bank details for the refund which still has not been refunded. After chasing them they said because if clause 9.3 ENGEL SOLAR would not return the deposit. If I had know that they were in fact the SAME company I would never have signed the contract. I have been mislead, misinformed and fell for this hard sell. I trusted the word of their representative.

They did the installation of our sun panels. All seemed to go well.
Until they had to activate/ legalise the system. I've been asking for more than a year for the documents for the legalization but they say they don't know which documents. It keeps going on. Whil Iberdrola and everyone says they have to deliver the documents. Without the documents we can't legalise/ activate it. So we lost a lot of money because of them being not capable to send me the document's. They've just been leading me along for over a year.
Engel solar estafadores/ estafadores ¡Advertencia! No trabajes con esta gente. Ellos hicieron la instalación de nuestros paneles solares. Todo parecía ir bien. Hasta que tuvieron que activar/legalizar el sistema. Llevo más de un año pidiendo los documentos para la legalización pero dicen que no saben qué documentos. Esto continúa. Mientras Iberdrola y todos dicen que tienen que entregar los documentos. Sin los documentos no podemos legalizarlo/activarlo. Entonces perdimos mucho dinero porque no pudieron enviarme los documentos. Me han estado guiando durante más de un año.
