2 unauthorised transactions from my business credit card in Australia labeled "ENGWE | UK" contacted them to find out what and why absolutely useless to deal with unhelpful and didnt attempt to locate the transactions for very specific amounts on a specific date
essentially $500 have been stolen banks have been contacted to investigate fraudulent transaction

I purchased an electric bike from Engwe which had a minor problem I emailed the company and Chirs dealt with my request I have never had this kind of treatment before it was sensational my query was dealt with honesty and so quick and resolved my situation. Update: I was offered the electric system to replace the obviously faulty electrics. They don't have an engineer locally, so I suggested they pay for the repair closer to me. They're now negotiating me having to pay half! In fact, I haven't heard from them since 24/03/2026. I did suggest it might have been cheaper of they'd replaced or refunded the bike when I asked them to... They want me to remove this review. I don't think so!
This company is unbelievably poor!
My order was placed through eBay, 11/3/25. I have spent the last 12 months in battle with them about my bike. It had an electrical fault right from the beginning, and I have had to deal with ridiculous requests for videos, which you cannot video something that is felt. I have requested a replacement or refund countless times, and been refused. I have now reported this company to trading standards, and am pursuing a claim for a refund.
I have had a replacement bike lock, and a replacement battery, but the problem persists. The bike lock cover is now broken too. I'm expecting a replacement. I'm not a bike mechanic, so had to also claim for a mechanic to replace parts. Still the electrical fault persists. The chain comes off regularly while riding, almost sending me into traffic on one occasion!
They're polite in their deliberate attempts to put you off, as I see in all these responses. Don't be fooled, you're getting nothing out of them! They don't care about the UK law, despite operating under a UK address on Companies House.
If your bike arrives in great condition and works, lucky you! If it doesn't, expect to be sent all around the houses with deliberate attempts to delay you outside of the 3 month returns period. I'm furious with this company!

After extensive research and being of older years I was looking for a quality step through, mid-motor assist, upright ride-style bike. Enter the ENGWE L20 3.0 PRO!!
The 100Nm torque is INSANE! Starting in 4th gear and PAS3, touch the pedal and you immediately feel the motor respond for a smooth yet powerful getaway.
Cannot fault the bike at all. Assembling was easy too. Took longer than I thought, but nothing was being left to chance with making sure the right torque was being applied and folllowing the clear and direct instructions to the letter.
So far, 10 days into my renewed cycling life I am absolutely delighted with the bike and it has become my "best friend"!
Buying online for me was always going to be a nervous experience, and it did not go without issues. But I want to stress that ENGWE, and in particular Lydia (there must be an army of Lydia's or she is just "Wonder Woman" in disguise), responded to every email regarding delivery promptly and full of answers.
In the UK, after the bike is received by the initial carrier, it is then despatched to the final delivery courier even though the bike status appears as "product fully arrived" when tracking the bike as soon as it reaches customs and days before it actually arrives with the final courier. Yes, very confusing because the final delivery courier puts your status as "on hold awaiting instruction" throughout this whole process.
However, Lydia was able to keep on top of this process, providing me with updates as to what was happening, and setting the timescales, never making excuses for things obviously outside of Engwe's control but wanting to make sure I was fully updated with where my bike was!
Yes, it took longer than expected to arrive, but the time and energy Lydia gave to ensuring I was aware of the carrier/delivery courier issues and confusing status messages explained it just made me even more excited when the package arrived. With good reason because the bike truly is beyond my expectations and is an absolute joy to ride.

I recently bought the Engwe P275 SE e-bike, and I have to say it’s an amazing bike. The build quality, performance, and overall riding experience have all exceeded my expectations.
The delivery was slightly delayed, which was a bit frustrating at first. However, I really appreciate the support I received from Lydia at Engwe UK customer service. She responded quickly to all my queries and handled everything professionally, making sure my bike arrived as soon as possible.
I’ve also seen quite a few posts on the official Engwe Facebook group mentioning some issues with their e-bikes. That said, it’s reassuring to see that most of those cases were eventually resolved by customer service, or customers were offered refunds if the bike couldn’t be fixed.
So far, I’ve only ridden about 6 miles, but everything has been perfect. Hopefully, I won’t experience any issues or faults going forward.
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and the support experience. Great bike and great service.

I just want to say thank you to Lydia at Engwe customer support UK for the swift responses and speedy resolution to my issue, which was no one’s fault, just one of those things. When buying from a South East Asian company it’s always on one’s mind as to whether good, post purchase customer service will be provided. Well based on my personal experience I can honestly say that at least as far as the UK is concerned it needn’t be worry.

I recently bought an Engine Pro 2.0 and… wow. I’m convinced it was packed by someone with Tetris world‑champion skills. Easiest bike I’ve ever assembled — I think the box practically unpacked itself.
I loved it so much that I immediately bought an Engine 3.0 Boost. That’s when I discovered my wife’s legs are, shall we say, not quite Boost‑compatible. Seat height: 1. Wife: 0.
So I emailed Engwe customer service and ended up speaking with Lydia, who deserves a medal, a raise, and possibly a holiday. She helped us swap it for an L20 3.0 Pro, which fits my wife perfectly and restored peace in the household.
Honestly, Engwe has been brilliant from start to finish — great bikes, great service, and no marital disputes over saddle height.
We’re looking forward to many miles of riding together… ideally without getting too out of breath for a pair of “older” riders 😀

They are a terrible company, had over 70 emails back and fourth with them trying to rectify major issues with my LE20 cargo bike. I have been out of work for over 2 weeks so far, and still waiting for parts to be sent. Customer service is shocking, shoutout to Lydia, getting £80 compensation for missing £1.5k from work as i can't travel. Find a local company in your country you can go to for repairs and checkups, its alot easier in the long run. Also tried multiple times to return the bike to which they just brushed off and offered small increases in compensation.

Engwe have been really helpful at resolving a small issue with my bike , the bike is amazing and a god send for my new job , gets me there and back in a breeze and makes my day so much easier , due to the time zone difference it can take a day to respond but they have been more than helpful and i felt like they wanted to really help and they followed through with what they promised , I am not paid to say this , it’s an honest opinion on my experience ,i was worried at first as i read some bad reviews but it’s a large company and if you read on other companies that sell e-bikes it’s the same throughout , what mattered is they helped and that’s the main thing and this company is growing and more service centres are appearing , my bike is a p275 se and is an amazing bike for its price , I put some puncture proof tires on and i fly round my city with ease , people say the bike is weak on hills but it isn’t , on very steep hills it will slow down a bit but it still gets you up and tbh i find it more practical than the fat tire ones because to fly round your city on it’s like a bat mobile , so under rated and it’s also a head turner , the pictures online don’t do it justice .
Don’t hesitate , I highly recommend the p275se for its price , you won’t find better i’m sure of it .

Received my ENGWE 2 3.0 Boost on 2 Feb 2026 with a defective rear wheel (flat spot/wobble). Reported immediately with photos/videos. Repair attempt confirmed it cannot be fixed.
Still awaiting a refund or replacement.untill today i didn't got a chance to ride it, is just sitting. Publicly sharing my experience so ENGWE resolves this promptly. A Section 75 claim with my credit card provider will be next if no action is taken.
UPDATE:
ENGWE replied publicly and said the case was escalated to the UK team. However, in private emails they confirmed the replacement rear wheel is currently out of stock with no estimated delivery date.
They also confirmed that the previously promised £45 repair refund did not process due to a “system malfunction”, so I have still not received that refund either, the £45 is the attempt of going to repair it at a bike shop.
Instead of resolving the issue with a full refund for a bike that arrived faulty, they offered £150 compensation if I wait indefinitely for a replacement wheel.
I have declined this offer and formally rejected the bike under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I have requested a full refund for the bicycle and the £45 repair cost.
If this is not resolved promptly, I will proceed with a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider.
FINAL UPDATE (CASE RESOLVED):
I am updating this review to provide a complete and fair outcome.
After returning the e-bike, ENGWE has now issued a full refund, which has been received in my account.
The bike originally arrived with a defective rear wheel and was unusable from delivery. The fault was reported immediately with photo and video evidence, and a repair attempt confirmed the issue could not be fixed. The resolution process took several weeks and required continuous follow-up, as well as formally rejecting the bike under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and preparing a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider.
Although the refund was ultimately completed, the process itself was slow and required significant persistence from the customer side before a final resolution was reached.
I am leaving this review updated so future buyers can see both sides of the experience — the initial problem and the eventual resolution.
Positive outcome in the end, but the after-sales support experience could be improved significantly.
For future buyers, I would personally recommend ensuring you purchase through a retailer with accessible local support and service options, as this can make a significant difference if any issues arise. (Note, buy eith a credit card so can be backed up even better by section 75).

Upon arrival of my new bike there was a minor issue with it which was rectified very quickly, via email, through their customer service team. Their response team was very efficient, polite, speedy and swift! No complaints whatsoever!

Coming from a traditional 3 gear bike to a 7 gear derailleur was game changing! Add to that the assistance from the PAS, makes this a great bike! I would thoroughly recommend this company and bike!
