Terugblik half jaar EPIC expirence
So far so good. Being asked to write a review here we are. We are in the process of running an ASIC in Ethiopia. Everything works out as promissed. But we are still waiting for the moment the newly purchased machines are connected and working that is MINING. So ask again for a review in a copple of months. However so far so good.
Vervolg bovenstaande ruim een half jaar later:
De ASIC is offline zonder reden van opgaaf. Na ruim een week komt op mijn verzoek om opheldering de mededeling dat de ASIC in reparatie is voor 4 tot 8 weken. Verder geen verklaring over de aard van het defect nog enige update. Gelukkig valt eea in de garantieperiode.
Ondanks dat er geen zicht is op de reparatiestatus en beperkte communicatie draait de ASIC gelukkig weer na ongeveer 1 maand. Het voordeel van de twijfel voor EPIC we gaan terug naar 3 sterren. Keep it up so we can upgrade to 4...

I had my doubts about diving in…
I had my doubts about diving in bitcoin-mining…What will be the ROI..? But after the video’s of Mickey I was enough able to sign the Mining contract..and my machine was online within 3 weeks !👍🏽 The first invoice for energy was paid , but not immediately recognised by the billing department , but Cherry did the communication quick and solved this issue !
I am curious about the next 4 years !

Electricity bill is vague and treshold will change everytime
When you set the treshold to a certain number to get paid out in BTC they keep changing it to another amount. That way you keep paying costs for the transaction. They refuse to keep it at the given number. You have to fill out a form which I did 4 times.
Then the calculated uptime of the machines is not correct so then you pay much more then the machine actually use. That is how they eanr their money. Keep asking a report with the up and downtime of the machines but they wont send it. You just get a % every month beleiving that it will be correct. You cant verify by your dashboard either.

Recently, I noticed a few of my mining machines were offline for some hours. Within 24 hours the support team let me know the problem was fixed and that there would we a discount on the next invoice for the hours the machines were not active. Tax increasements in ethiopia, offline servers, not according to agreement.
Calculation does not work in reality. Machines, delivery time, all not according to promised expectations. And then all of a sudden you have to pay additional fees due to tax increasements in ethiopia. While the contract says energy prices are fixed. Total calculation which was promised completely false. Also a lot of system failures which causes machines to be ''offline''... Do not fall for this scam.

In reference to the additional fees due to tax increases in Ethiopia, we understand your frustration. However, these increases are beyond our control as they are imposed by the Ethiopian government. That said, Epic Mining has absorbed the majority of this tax increase, ensuring your actual impact is limited to only $0.005 per kWh, as communicated earlier.
If downtime occurs, we consistently keep our clients informed through transparent communication. Over the last six months, we have only encountered one major issue, which was resolved within six days. During this time, we ensured that all unused energy was deducted from subsequent invoices.
Finally, I see that you have been mining for just one year. As communicated, BTC mining should be approached with a four-year perspective. This not only aligns with the lifespan of the miner but also helps to mitigate short-term fluctuations and provide a clearer picture of returns over time.

The support is quick and great and they help you trough the process. The ROI (return on investment) and benefits are not what they promise. Lower yield and it took my almost 6 month to install the machines while they said it would be 2 months.
You will gain BTC by mining it via EpicMining but the price of BTC needs to be much higher to gain real profit out of it.

Epic Mining is a great option for anyone looking to invest in Bitcoin over the long run (at least four years). It is not for those looking to turn a quick profit.
Epic Mining makes it easy to purchase miners, and provides a convenient app for monitoring the miners' activities 24/7. They also provide excellent customer service and helpful videos to guide you through the entire process of becoming a BTC miner, paying your electricity bills, and collecting payouts.
Investors should be aware that they will have to pay sizeable electricity bills for their miners, and that it can take about two years to recoup the purchase price of the machines and offset the energy bills before making a profit.
The amount of profit (or loss) depends entirely on the BTC price. If you believe in the future of BTC, then this can be a lucrative investment over a time frame of four years or more. Epic Mining provides helpful profitability charts based on various BTC rates to help estimate your risk and potential profit.
The only reason I am not giving Epic Mining five stars is because of the high amount of down time of the miners due to issues with the electricity supply at the Ethiopia operation. The company has been very transparent about the problems and has done a good job of communicating what work is being done to improve the situation. I am confident that the operations will become more reliable in 2025 and beyond.
