A First Rate Service
I rarely write reviews but our Company have used Equals for the past two years and have found their service and personal attention to our needs first class. The major players in the banking world who are offering such poor service should all take a leaf out of the Equals book!!
Didnt send money as agreed.
CONTRACT: E2KLKFBTHYTR
EM agreed to deliver EUR12k on 28 March. EM did not send the EUR on the due date (28th). I had sent them the GBP funds two days earlier than agreed (26th), so no issues on my side. They did send the agreed funds on 31 March.
I am closing my account with EM, as they didn’t deliver on what they agreed to do.
An excellent, prompt response to phone calls
I have been using Equals Money for some time to buy cards for visiting doctors. From time to time I have had to ring Equals to ask for help with issues such as card activation and the people I have spoken to have always been helpful and courteous and have sorted the problem for me promptly. Phones are answered quickly, which is hugely helpful
Ok if you only have a few users otherwise very hard to use
We were using the old Equals platform and had to transfer to the new one this had to be done much sooner than we would have liked to. We also had to set all our 120 users up from scratch - there was no transfer of cards or balances. We are a Trust with 36 schools and relied on the Department (now Teams). Teams does not work in the new Equals! The reports are overly huge and gives you too much information. There seems to be a nice user report but we would have to run this for every user - Equals told us how to run the report for every user in one go but it does not work. We started using this new platform on 20/12/24 and am still waiting for Equals to create some nice basic reports for us (card transactions, top up, bank transfers etc). Would happily go to another provider if our schools weren't going through other changes at the moment. Has potential to be a good platform but the staff haven't thought everything through properly.
Works well and rates are very good
We have used Equals for several years, both for business and personal money, and not had any issues.
The exchange rates have been very good, transactions have been quick and the web site user interface is straight forward.
Happy to recommend them for both personal and business use
Big problems
Big problems. They upgrading their system and have been down for over a week. No one answers their phone and nothing is happening.
I use Equals for my business with 6 cards and it's a disaster.
I am now looking for another co to provide this facility
Personal Attention
Expense cards impossible to administrate
Equals made their old platform (Equals Spends) obsolete and we have had to "upgrade" to Equals Money. Our sales team have Equals cards for their expenses which previously worked reasonably well. This new platform is diabolical especially for overseas transactions. The helpdesk is inundated with queries and slow to respond. We are actively looking for an alternative solution.

I have used many international money exchange firms before and so far I think this is the best one. What I like about Equals Money is the advanced platform and the personal touch. Allan is a great guy, easily reachable and he assigned me to an account manager, Paddy and both are helping me greatly with my transactions. Because the platform is advanced and naturally is different from other platforms, it may take you 1-2 transactions to get used to. Highly recommended.
