My experience with ERIK'S Bike shop from initial inquiry to delivery of my bike was well-orchestrated professionalism and efficiency, indeed, a very satisfying encounter.
The two customer service reps were very helpful in answering my many questions, especially the second rep, who provided edifying details as to how the bike would be minimally disassembled then "professionally prepared/packaged" to ensure damage free delivery.
Although apprehensive about shipping an easily damaged bike a long distance, his details and reassurance that ERIK'S professional bike packaging would result in safe travel for my bike provided much needed "peace of mind."
Happily, it was only hours later after I placed my online order that ERIK'S was already processing it and preparing the bike for shipment! That's efficiency! That’s customer service!
Although FedEx delivered the bike one day late, the generous, impressive size and obvious sturdiness of the bike box that arrived strongly suggested my bike had been carefully packaged with plenty of internal cushioning.
It was amazing, upon opening the box, how cleverly the bike had been packaged, dare I say smartly "engineered" in so many obvious ways to guarantee safe arrival.
Clearly, much effort and time had been expended in pursuit of that goal.
Every bike tube was protected by a thick foam tube covering it, that was also tightly zip tied to stay in place. Giant blocks of foam fore and aft locked the partially disassembled bike rigidly in place within the box.
The front wheel & seat post/saddle combo were attached with zip ties to a large separator cardboard to isolate them from damaging the bike.
The handlebar was thoroughly ensconced in taped foam tubing & additional padding, then firmly zip tied in several locations to ensure it did no damage.
A separate box contained small parts and a package of documents, including the Specialized owner's manuals, completed the contents.
The final very telling detail of this meticulous bike packaging was the critical, insightful inclusion of a caliper shim in the hydraulic front brake, that otherwise would have been a problem, if the front brake caliper lever had been inadvertinently activated in transit while off the disc.
This certainly was a bike "professionally packaged" at the highest level, in order to survive undamaged a 1,000 mile trek to my location.
In every respect, this bike purchase from ERIK'S was a delightful and most satisfying experience. They had the bike I wanted in the color I wanted. The shipping fee of only $49.00 was very reasonable and helpful to my bike budget. Crucially, the bike packaging for shipment was superb.
As a result, when I am ready to add another bike to my stable, ERIK'S will definitely get my business again; they have earned it.
In the meantime, I will reward their expertise and effort with other purchases, until that time comes.
JOB NOT ONLY WELL DONE........JOB OUSTANDINGLY DONE, ERIK'S!
Honored their return policy and replaced bike that was delivered with damages.
Everyone was friendly and helpful. I needed a bike assembled and it was done much quicker than I expected.

I bought a bike from Erik’s online that was $12,000 on sale. The sales person was responsive when I reached out for questions. However, there were a few questions I needed answered by a tech. With a bike that expensive and all of the latest tech I didn’t want to make a mistake when reassembling it. I was told by the sales person that Erik’s doesn’t offer that unless you come into the store, which for me was about 1,300 miles away so it clearly wasn’t an option. They suggested I watch their generic video that was more about basic assembly for any bike. It was VERY disappointing that they couldn’t have a person speak with me for 10-15 minutes when I just spent $12,000 there. I called Specialized since Eriks basically ghosted me and Specialized support was amazing. Anyway, I will not purchase anything again from Erik’s. Clearly they don’t understand how e-commerce works.

Bought a "new" bicycle, but they did not disclose it was a floor model.
Pre purchase I asked if this was a new bike and not a floor model and they said yes.
Bike arrived and it clearly looked like it had been used. It had multiple cosmetic issues especially on the handle bar and some scuffs on tire walls, rims.
After communicating my dissatisfaction they did acknowledge it had been used multiple times for customers rides to try, which explained the dirty tires.
I was not happy and politely asked for a partial refund to my card but the best they could do was store credit of a decent amount after I protested enough.
I would have never bought a bicycle online, but the model I was specifically looking for was only available on this site and I trusted it would be a super easy experience.
