Second trip to La Rosière with Esprit and can’t fault the team’s warmth and care to our child. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Wonderful location in a great resort. Very sad we won’t... See more

Holiday interrupted by estate agent to view my room. That is unacceptable. I stayed in the Chalet to rest my legs after a few days of skiing. I was interrupted during my rest because an estate... See more

Flawless family ski holiday. Staff were superb and everything ran like clockwork. Esprit Ski will be greatly missed but will travel with their sister company Inghams in the future.

Disappointing

Disappointing, organisation was shambolic, late lift passes, food service slow, transfer service poor. For a company that specialises in holidays with children it was very disappointing.

Brilliant family experience

We went on a BAT week to Hotel Valverde in Gressoney with a 3 half year old and an 8 month old. We did half board with both kids in snow club/ski school and nursery respectively. The staff were great and both kids were very happy all week. Lots of activities and the ski instructors were very encouraging. Meals were good and varied. The skiing/snowboarding was good and challenging enough for a not that great boarder! We’d definitely recommend Esprit and are planning another trip next year!

Great service with excellent childcare …

Great service with excellent childcare !
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Esprit and will most probably book next years holiday quite soon. We stayed at the Crystal 2000 in Courchevel 1850 for a third time and were very impressed as always...

Great snow, Great chalet

This was our third holiday with Esprit and we had a brilliant week. The chalet (Chalet Olympus, Les Arcs 2000) was comfortable and the pool area absolutely amazing - great after being on the slopes all day.
Location of the chalet is a short walk from the nearest lift which is always a bonus.
The only minor downside was that the cooking smells from the kitchen tended to overpower the whole chalet and times requiring windows to be opened (which could turn out to be chilly!) and some regular children's staples such as tomato ketchup and fresh fruit (apples & pears were very over ripe so our son wouldn't eat) seemed in short supply. I believe there was also an issue with some supplies during our week as menus were altered due to ingredients not being delivered?
All in all however a great week with friendly staff in a pleasant chalet.

It was ok

Third time with Esprit and overall it was ok. We had an issue in chalet and it was dealt with quickly and efficiently which was good. The problem is that issue the should never have occurred there are obvious processes that require improvement, in our experience at least. Overall the chalet was looking a tad tired and a refit feels appropriate.

From next season esprit are dropping the catering to 5 days a week, I wonder if prices will also drop!?!! I don't think this is a good idea and feels more cost cutting from esprit in addition to the number courses this year at dinner time.

For these reasons we are going to try other family orientated travel operators.

First experience of Esprit and sadly not a good one. Think where you buy your lift passes...

First experience of Esprit and sadly not a great one. Bad weather conspired against us shortening 4 days of sking to 2 but this resulted in miscommunication and dissapointment. Having bought lift passes through Esprit who sell these on the basis that its the same as you buying them, but will save you a trip to the lift pass office - please bear in mind you lose the benefit of buying them direct. Lift pass offices will refund days not used due to closures but Esprit will not (although have now offered a less than 50% refund eventually after saying this is what the lift company offered) This may be true, but I can not believe the business and relationship that Espirit have at resorts would not provide an equal benefit to the customer buying them directly. This does not even consider the ski school or ski costs incurred but not used.
What compounded this was being told in resort at the start of the week that they were talking to the lift office about refunds and how this would be administered, only to be told at the end of the week that you have to go to your insurer. This seemed the easy way out.

The accommodation was ok, with 2 nice lads who had little experience and tried their best, but the catering was not great - although this is the risk you take with chalet catering. Not sure why they took the lead cook to another chalet for Second half of the holiday and put another in his place, which made it worst. Perhaps the chalet he went had complained?? We will never know.

when we arrived there had been a lot of snow but the entrance to the chalet had not been cleared until my husband moaned After 7 years with Esprit we have decided not to use them next year

Les arcs 2000

Dreadful food. Missing items at breakfast and dinner. Filthy kitchen in chalet. Complete lack of customer care by staff. Chaos from arrival at Chambery to departure a week later.Told I would get a phone call after making complaint in resort from head office on my return to UK. Still waiting! After recommending to friends and family on last years experience to Gressoney. I would not recommend in the future at all. Feel ripped off by Esprit and it would appear they aren't bothered.

Courchevel Crystal 2000-Amazing week had by all

Just back from an amazing week in Courchevel at Chalet Crystal 2000 based in 1850. Ross at the booking stage was truly excellent, and assured us that taking our 1 and 4yr olds would work... we were dubious how it would all pan out, but it sounded like a plan!! Flying with that renowned airline ‘Titan’ also added to my apprehension, but after a seamless and professional flight and transfer, we made it to the resort, and what a resort...Courchevel you gave us more snow and skiing than 15yrs of ski holidays has ever provided...A mixed bag of weather started with skiing in rain (a first for us), high avalanche risks, closed pistes and low visibility... and that was just day one... followed by five bluebird sky days, which wasn’t in the forecast...lucky lucky!! So onto the Chalet; faultless position on the mountain, ski straight out of the boot room, and the ski hire shop is based in the hotel...The hotel is a good three star! Better than reviews would suggest, we were very happy with everything offered. Room 214 was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the pistes. The food was of a good standard, with plenty of option daily for both adults and children’s high tea. Breakfast was fab with lots of choices...On the catering teams day off (Wednesday) staff took delivery orders and went down the mountain to collect pizzas etc which could be eaten in the lounge.. Very thoughtful, and made sure we didn’t have to pay Courchevel prices for our kids to not eat dinner... ok so the real highlight; the childcare team... My 1yr old was in nursery for the week and bum boarded, painted in the snow, took full advantage of the soft play, and generally had a fab time. Our 4yr old was in Snow Club a.m and Spritelets p.m. She too bum boarded, painted, went on woodland trails, and again took advantage of the huge onsite soft play... and that was just a.m! After a supervised lunch she was suited and booted, collected by mini bus, and taken to ESF’s brilliantly equipped kids area close to the Verdon lift station... There really are no negatives to offer, perhaps one area of advice; stock up on breakfast and head back for 4pm tea and cake to avoid paying for lunch out!! We know one couple who paid €55 for two glasses of wine... and there was a €260 pizza knocking around resort too.... but if it’s good enough for the Beckhams, Beyoncé, Roman Abramovich and James Bond to name but a few, who am I to moan....

Hotel Alba in Meribel

Hotel Alba in Meribel is ideally located next to the piste. Our room at the front faced the mountains to the west making a glorious start to the day. The staff are what makes Esprit and they were all great. They are so good with the children and make their days. Highly recommended for a family holiday.
