Monastery of St John the Baptist (Online Bookshop) Reviews

Books arrived well packaged.

Excellent selection of publications. Very modest pricing for theological heavyweight works. Thank you 🙏 I highly recommend this publisher. No concerns whatsoever with my order.

Wonderful experience. I got two precious gifts.

I loved the books and icons that were sent. They were beautifully packaged. The process of ordering and receiving them was easy and intuitive.

Excellent books, well packaged, shipped internationally very quickly. I have ordered many many times from St John the Baptist in Essex and every time it is a great experience.

I bought a gift card. It was easy to customise it. There was complete flexibility in both the appearance of the card, and its receipt (delivery or print).
On previous occasions, I received prompt and helpful response to my queries.

Got my book. Outstanding quality, incredible service. I will be buying more books as I go forward :)

Exceptional service. Beautiful books, very neatly packaged and speedily delivered.

The Monastery provided excellent service! They dispatched my order extremely quickly and contacted me via email and WhatsApp to tell me the status of my order. Their service was better than Amazon!

Another wonderful work from the Essex brotherhood that now adorns my library. I recently decided to place another order from the monastery's publications because I was confident in the quality and elegance that governs the brotherhood. The album House of the Father takes us on a journey to the newly built church of Saint Sophrony with wonderful photographs and texts from its interior and exterior.  The publication ultimately exceeded my expectations with the amazing quality of the book's material and the gradual depiction of all stages of the church, from the initial conception of the idea to construction and completion. Its interior with amazing frescoes and hagiographies. Also, finally, not to forget about its very good and safe packaging. The brotherhood always ensures proper packaging and information about the shipment at all  stages until the destination. We thank the brotherhood very much and wish them new editions as soon as possible.

Finally, I must not forget to mention their generosity, because they always include high-quality paper images for free with every order.

The package came super quick, quicker than I expected. The book was really high quality and the packaging was also done with care.

Ordered received in US excellent books for gifts by our beloved Archimandrite Zacharias! I have read all his books and am still navigating my path in Christ! Bless us Holy Father!

Express delivery.

Good quality of words. But I prefer PDFs.

Arrived very quickly and exactly as ordered! Super service!

Everything arrived perfectly packaged, and it got to Brazil from England in less than two weeks. The books are wonderful. If it weren't for the unfavorable exchange rate against the real, I would have bought more books.

Very valuable writings, God bless! Also clear instructions on how to get ebooks delivered to amazon account, good formatting.

Quick delivery, as it stated. Well packed. Thank you!

The book, Saint Silouan the Athonite, arrived a couple of days after it was ordered from the Netherlands. It was delicately packaged, so the book arrived undamaged. The book itself is of high quality, with a well-bound hardcover and gold lettering on the cover. It also comes with a dust jacket. Additionally, it included two paper icons, one of the Theotokos and one of Saint Silouan the Athonite. The package could be traced during it's delivery, which is another nice feature.

I was very positively surprised by the quality of the book and the care that went into packaging it. Overall, I am satisfied and would recommend Essex Monestary to anyone considering buying one of their books.
