If I could give this company a "0"

If I could give this company a "0", I definitely would.
This company's customer hit me and was at fault and received the ticket.
No one will call me back, not even the supervisor.
This is the worst-case I have ever seen with an insurance company!!!!!!!

The worst insurance in the united states

The worst. I have USAA for ALL of my other vehicles, and I've only kept esurance in place because my new spouse and her son were already covered and happy with the price. Get this...MY wife's car was vandalized in Los Angeles, and while she was traveling for business. Esurance has taken 2 months just to get the ball rolling on repairs, and only agreed to cover 30% of the estimate. I had blood, urine, 4 brokens windows, leather damage, ventilation damage, paint damage, bumper damage, body damage and numerous other imperfections caused by these vandals to a 2020 $80K SUV ...and they expected my body shop to do ALL of that work for $3400? They are unprofessional, cheap and literally worthless when it comes to taking care of their customers in a usual and customary length of time, and their communication is POOR. USAA would never do this to me. I have called, emailed, and threatened in voice mails and GOT NOTHING back. No calls or correspondence of any kind except for the weak excuse of a payout to repair our automobile. As of today (7/26/22) I'm still waiting for the claims folks just to engage me in a conversation to get the work completed. According to my bodyshop in San Diego, Ca...it could be MONTHS before we get our car back. This is the worst excuse for an insurance company in the history of US Auto Insurance. I've been so irritated at this mess, I reached out to Allstate (who I used to respect) and they shunned me and redirected me back to esurance ...who doesn't even have the nerve to return an email. I'M BEYOND ANGRY!

Others say “NO,” They say “YES!”

My personal experience with Esurance an AllState affiliate. Well for about these last two years, they’ve been insurance agency for two vehicles, 1 I no longer possess.

Their rates substantially fair and decent, great customer service, and are apart of great and well established business.

My parked car was hit by an Esurance…

My parked car was hit by an Esurance Policyholder
who allowed her boyfriend to drive it. He hit the left rear of my bumper. This occurred on 6 April 2022. I did all of the paperwork, took pictures, submitted Forms and took more pictures to submit my Claim for the damage online. Since the damage was confined to only one car part which was the rear bumper cover, I did not think this would be hard to do as a Claimant. I could not have been more wrong.
Almost at the beginning, the stalling game began in earnest. I could leave all of the phone messages I wanted to; the calls were not returned. I was once on hold with them for over two and a half hours; no one ever answered. Likewise, emails were just as bad as far as getting anyone to respond to my questions. The Claims Adjuster was out of the Office more than he was there. I waited a month just to get an email with an Estimate for the cost of repairs and painting.
I had a body shop close to home which does good work. I notified them that I would get the bumper replaced. Another week to ten days went by before I finally received their Check as Payment for the damage. It took over two months' time to get one simple part replaced and painted. My request for a Rental Car or Allowance for transportation for the two days my car was being repaired was ignored.
In summation, Esurance is a miserable Company to deal with as a Claimant. They are indifferent and unresponsive to legitimate Claims. I certainly would not recommend them to anyone, if anything avoid if possible. Very poor Claims Service.

NEVER RECOMMEND E-SURANCE

NEVER RECOMMEND E-SURANCE
I had an at fault auto accident In December 2021. It took more than three months to settle this claim. So you know, E-surance is under the umbrella of Allstate Auto Insurance. At first, the rates were really good; however once your file a claim with them the rates will escalate. The underwriter, M Johnson in the San Francisco, CA office, was assigned to this claim. She sent more than 50+ emails to request for me to settle the claim as a total loss quickly. My goal was to get the car repaired, and to no avail after waiting the legal 30 days to try to get the car repaired it was totaled anyhow. I had to make many, many phone calls to keep this claim in contact either with M. Johnson or her supervisor. E-surance does not send out an appraiser to look at your car. You will have to deal with the Rapid Response Team, the Salvage Yard and the DMV once the car sits in their yard for another 30 days after E-surance tells you the car is totaled. Between the body shop and E-surance; who lied to me and the Body Shop in order to slow down the claim process you will be totally stressed. All the reviews about this company are negative. E-surance considers you and your auto just a number, and will hang you out to dry as long as they can in order to not pay your claim. Additionally, Yes, there is a $50.00 cancellation fee for you to let go of your policy when all is done.

This company is the WORST

This company is the WORST! We are still waiting on a claim to be completed since November of 2021!! We have one thing left to do and we can't get it done because no adjuster will return our calls. This is so ridiculous because I thought this was a reputable company. I will have to find a new insurance company and sue for the remaining monies. If anyone on here would be interested in filing a class-action lawsuit you only need 3 people to file.

7 weeks with zero contact from adjuster or supervisor

I was in an accident on 4/17/2022 we are now 6/1/2022 and I have yet to get a phone call from my adjuster or their supervisor. I have called several times with zero success of speaking to either one of them. Today alone I have been hung up on 4 times. I also have yet to been provided with a rental. Each person assigned to my case has a voicemail that states do not leave more than one voicemail, which I find very unprofessional especially if they do not contact clients in a timely manner. The most frustrating part is if the people assigned do not answer there is zero help outside of that. zero. No other employee will help because "that is all they call do" is transfer you to a voicemail that tells you not to leave messages. I've been without a car for almost 2 months, as a single mother is beyond words of frustration and anger. My friends and family are more reliable than this company. After this is completed I am going with a different company and will warn everyone I come into contact with not to do business with this company.

Get insurance elsewhere.... They don't fight for you

I opened a claim last Thursday and can not get my so called adjuster to call me back. I called to report where I was taking my car and she said "do you want me to pay you out" like wth no your gonna pay the body shop for all the repairs, she said so you dont want me to send a check. They want to quickly close a case and put you at fault without investigation. She than proceeded to degrade me and call me a liar as I had finally rested and was in pain trying to validate my statement from the day of the accident and details were foggy the day of. I have left 3 messages wince Sunday and it is Tuesday and not one phone call. I finally wrote the ombudsmen's office for insurance complaints. I had a claim in 2019 where the other driver drove down the bike land and I had already been pulled halfway into the driveway. The other driver backed up and rammed through my car. My 15 yr old was in my car. Esurance refused to talk to my son as he was a passenger in my car. And paid out the other driver with me at fault and never notified me of the status of the claim or the results. No contact what so ever. They do not fight for their insured they are quick to drop money on the other party and raise your rates. As of the current accident I was on hold 1 hour and 3 mins the other day and still no answer at all regarding my questions or the claims advisor on my claim. Waiting a review from the ombudsman's office within 30 days. Reps and supervisors are completely rude when you can even get one

The accident happened on Dec 24

The accident happened on Dec. 24th, filed the claim on the 26 th. Couldn't get a real person on the phone, Took pics, of car filed on line. Still couldn't get a real person, kept getting, your claims person is Denisha Corothers, let me connect you. Of course got her answering machine, said you have reached Denisha Corothers
I'm not able to take your call, please leave a msg. and I will return your call in 24 hours, and if I don't, my supervisor is Mrs James, and she always gets back with you, within 24 hours. Guess what not only did Denisha Corothers not get back with us, neither did her supervisor. We logged at least a dozen calls with the same results. Finally 2 weeks, later I actually received a call. Was very nice concerned, thought wow finally. BUT just smoke and mirrors, alot of excuses, and the run around. We kept calling, but they'd say its up to the aduster, and they're busy. Its been 30 days now, Joe at the body shop is about to charge us storage, cause it's taking so long. The claim was for 3500, esurance decided they would pay a whopping 1344.99, when we raised concerns, and asked questions, they decided, they needed to send someone to look at car. Of course this will take between 5-7 business days. They adjusted the amount by 657.00 dollars, so now they are paying 2002.00 minus deductible. Finally agreed to send checks but of course that takes 5-7 business days. Which took 45 days total, to satisfy the claim. We kept all correspondence, with them, and a record of the calls. Every time I would call, it said this call is being recorded for quality purposes and training, and I'm thinking I hope sincerely hope so.

Overpriced & Money hungry

I switched to esurance because we were moving to a state my current carrier was not available in. As it turned out, the rates were excessively high when I compared to other carriers in the state. I switched to Progressive and instantly saved $100+ per month. Esurance was "kind" enough to charge me an extra $65 for cancelling my policy before my initial term was completed.

I'm not surprised that a company that routinely overcharges would take every chance it can get to chisel just a little more money out of your pocket. Not recommended.

Never again.

Esurance has limited options when rates dramatically increase. Their customer service could not completely explain how or why my bill went up $600 for the 6 month period I was quoted at my renewal and actually told me I would be better off switching to someone else. Additionally, in order to cancel within the 6 month period, they want to charge me a fee for early cancellation even though I've been a customer for 2 1/2 years and have never filed a claim. They suck you in with a decent rate but it goes downhill from there.

been with this insurance company for…

been with this insurance company for five years at least, over the last 5 years they have continued to get worse and worse, the service is poor, they are slow and expensive, they used to be good before all state bought them, I am not sure what their major malfunction is these days.

But, I recently filed a claim, and I have been waiting for them for over a month now to make a determination of some sorts, but so far its over a month I am waiting, and I havent heard from them once! I filed a claim over a month ago, and my adjuster either got hit in the head? or went brain dead, I am not sure! but I hope he is ok!

in any event today I called Esurance, and again got pretty poor service, no one can still tell me anything about my claim, or my adjuster, but I did find out who his boss is, and left a message for her, and havent heard back from her all day either.

Its safe to say at this point the service is so poor, and overpriced, so they take the cake for premium prices and poor service! and sadly after over 5 years, I gotta kick them to the curb and find a new insurance company, because Esurance isn't worth a crap anymore, service is VERY poor! still waiting over a month for some sort of intelligent response.

Have been with esurance for many years

Have been with esurance for many years. Both home and auto.

In years past I complained to them about charging my escrow account for my homeowners insurance in June even though my policy did not expire until August.

This year I replaced my roof (at my own expense, no insurance claim) and let them know. This reduced my rate for renewal. Despite this fact they charged the $1500 rate to my escrow even though the new rate was $650. This took me a couple of months to get the refund from esurance as well as to get my bank to recognize that they had billed me in error with the incorrect rate which was being reflected in my escrow analysis and then to receive a refund from my bank for the incorrect calculation caused by esurance's mistake.

My daughter's car was damaged by a falling tree limb in June. I had my daughter send in the requested pictures of the vehicle and the limb via email. After several months esurance said they could not process the claim because the pictures needed to be sent through the esurance app. They then said that they had not received any pictures. I called and verified that they had received the pictures (only because I had a email from them stating that they had received them) and that there was no requirement to send the pictures through the esurance app (just makes their job easier). I continued to receive emails from reps stating that I needed to submit the pictures through the app even after they were contacted.

I then received an email from one of their adjusters stating that they would close the claim within 5 days since "we have not received a response from you". Their adjuster was wholly unprofessional and more interested in continuing their falsehoods about my not contacting them when I called.

I am posting this here because, unsurprisingly, esurance does not have any public facing feedback or critique method in place on their site. Complaining via phone does not seem to be something that is carried forward or recognized.

I know a thing or two

We've had to call on Esurance more than once, and our most recent accident involving a deer was further proof that this company cares about their customers. Within an hour a wrecker was picking up the car and a rental was provided with no questions or hassle. It took longer than expected to repair the damage and so the rental lasted almost 3 weeks. From drop off to pick it was no hassle, no paperwork, just friendly Esurance staff calling frequently to follow up on the work progress and to see if I needed anything. I could not be happier with an insurance company than I am with Esurance. Great rates and service like that. And at over 50 I've been with a few providers so I know a thing or two.
