Do not order here!! Arrogant and terrible company! I ordered a battery for a black diamond light. The product page stated clearly it would fit ALL black diamonds light but this turns out not to be the case. The company takes no responsibility for their own mistake. They also ignore european law as I requested a cancelation of contract of sales and they simply ignore this. Only thing you van do is follow the standard return policy where the reduce the refund with 8,95€ for return costs!!!
I love the Spot 400 Headlamp
Bought a Spot 400 Headlamp. Simply fantastic. I am considering now the Storm 500-R to have more battery life. People say the Storm 500-R feels heavier on the head but I think that is not an issue for me.

Missing items in Order and no customer service
Ordered a jacket and a pair of pants. But they only sent jacket. And there is no customer service. On their website, "Due to a staffing shortage, our phones are currently off. For assistance, please try our Live Chat or email us with any questions or concerns. Our team will respond as soon as possible." But there is no live chat either. Emailed them, but haven't get any response yet.

A 5 star review from someone who purchased a head lamp that stopped working whilst still under warranty. In the modern world of chat bots and phone queues I had low expectations as I filled out the claim form on the website. However, my case was dealt with promptly and effectively by a named person who saw it through to my satisfaction. I will be buying Black Diamond because of their excellent customer support.
They Don’t Honour There Advertised Price
This company doesn’t live up to their pricing.
False and misleading advertised price which is more money when it came to checkout. The checkout price for the item was higher the advertised price in the email. No correction notice was issued and no apology was made. “Apology for my inconvenience” is not good enough. A fair and equitable resolution would be, HONOUR THE ADVERTISED PRICE! Customer service is of no assistance. What is customer service there for ?. They don’t own up to their advertised price and they are not transparent to their customers. No ownership. Not shopping here anymore. Very Bad Experience

After ordering two sets of trekking…
After ordering two sets of trekking poles on-line, I received an onslaught of unsolicited spam emails from a multitude of different companies. Given that Black Diamond was the only company that I had placed a recent on-line order with (and was the only on-line company that I wasn't familiar with), I can only assume that they sold my email address.
When I tried to make a formal complaint by phone, I was directed by voicemail to send them (yet another) email.
I will never do business with this company again.

Headlamp battery/charger delivered to Ireland from EU store within 5 days. Quite satisfied. Prices fair and products are quality. Only small complaint was no email issued for item dispatched - just one to say order was being processed, so I wasn't sure of progress. Main thing is it arrived in timely fashion!
Great Customer Service
When my Black Diamond headlamp stopped working, my husband urged me to contact them (he is a snowskier and was very familiar with their brand). Their customer service department was responsive and helpful, and they completely replaced the unit free of charge. They didn't know this, but I have eye issues and I use that headlamp for all kinds of purposes on a daily basis. I'm grateful for their help and appreciate how they stand behind their products!

If you expect to receive your order in a reasonable timeframe, or at all, steer clear of Black Diamond Equipment. Their delivery service is nothing short of a disaster. After spending a significant amount of money on gear, one would expect a minimum level of professionalism, but that’s far from the case. My order took weeks, if not months, to arrive. And when I say arrive, I mean the package was lost in some sketchy shipping network with no reliable updates.
Tracking is nonexistent, the information is vague, and getting in touch with their customer service is like running an obstacle course. You either get automated responses or, worse, no response at all. It's as if they don't care about their customers or think we have all the time in the world to waste. It's an outright scandal for a brand that’s supposed to be a leader in the outdoor industry. Black Diamond seriously needs to overhaul their logistics if they want to be taken seriously. Honestly, at this point, I would have been faster picking up the gear myself."

Terrible quality
Terrible quality. Jacket started falling apart after very little use. Their warranty department refused to honor their warranty. The jacket is clearly defective. The BD dry membrane started delaminating after only very light use as a city rain jacket, light bike riding, and strolling around. Total joke and ripoff. Don't buy.
Disillusioned
Utterly disillusioned with Black Diamond. Currently communicating with them about a replacement part for a pole and getting absolutely no feedback despite weeks of trying. Since I am writing this, I previously had a head torch with intermittent fault which was returned via retailer. Torch was sent back to me saying working fine but fault resumed first time in use. Afraid I didn't have the will to pursue further and bought a Petzl one which has been excellent. You really need to believe that this type of thing is dependable and I can no longer believe this of Black Diamond.

The company spams you with the offer of a 15% discount code if you sign up and join their mailing list. At no point in time does the website state that the discount code only applies to certain items or can be used under certain conditions. After wasting a bunch of time to sign up, I go to the checkout for an item that I was intending to purchase and after inputting the code, I am informed that the discount is not applicable to this item.
Businesses should be more clear about how their discount codes can be utilised and should not waste peoples time by getting them to sign up to mailing lists with false promises.

Marked my orders as fraud, kept my money for a week, and I never received the products. Refuse to help me unblock my account because of their mistake and "that's how our system works." Strung me along for weeks before telling me there is no way to place an order, even though I opened a new bank account and paypal account to match their system.
The most over rated company. They churn out so much crap and since I was only purchasing for a friend, they've learned a lesson and converted to other brands. I would always choose a quality petzl item even if it is slightly more dollars.

Fast responses and great quality
my package was held at customs on a clearance delay as soon as i notified Black Diamond about it they got it out to transit. their customer service apologized for how busy they are (big sale going on) and i still got my package a day early. as for the the gear i ordered itself seems very good quality and great warranty i'd say compared to arcteryx or norron they're priced a lot cheaper for similar quality no life time warranty tho. get what you pay for. i'd suggest black diamond to anyone looking for cheaper but still good quality outdoor gear.

Horrible customer service ! Returned item and after after I realised it was held by customs for a week I phoned them with explanation and tracking number. I’ve been told they are aware about the issue and it’s not a problem if it arrives a bit later than deadline (14 days from return accepted email) According to tracking it arrived next day (15 days from the email) and they refused to collect it and sent it back to me. No refund, no communication and I also had to pay £13 to post it to them. Avoid avoid avoid. Will never shop with them again. Shame
100,000 hour bulbs, <100 hours of service before they die!!!!
I am a flash-aholic and have a stupid number of flashlights and headlamps. I only use rechargeable batteries so that they don't become corroded. I have had 2 BD headlamps go bad in relatively short order, with minimal use. And magically, the lights seem to fail just outside the warranty window. There are better lights out there, they may not have the bells as whistles (continuous dimmability), but they won't let you down either. These lights are garbage.
