Very good experience renting from these guys. Pickup and drop-off service as well

I had a terrible experience with Europcar in Paitilla.

I arrived at 11:15 for my 11:30 pickup and had to wait over 45 minutes because there was only one employee handling several customers. About 10 people waiting and only 2 chairs available — completely disorganized. The registration process takes far too long; I was in the office for over an hour before getting the car.

I had reserved a Kia Rio 1.6 or similar, but was given a Hyundai i10, which is definitely not in the same category.

They asked for a $1,500 deposit, and only after I started walking out did they suddenly reduce it to $300. I should have trusted my instincts and left.

The car initially seemed fine, but after a couple of hours, I noticed issues with the gearbox.

By Sunday it was having trouble starting, and on Monday morning it wouldn’t start at all. I had to cancel meetings and errands I had scheduled.

After about an hour waiting for assistance, they finally got it running. I filled it up with gas and went to return it — only to find no parking and no staff present at the Paitilla office. I called, rang the bell, and waited 15 minutes on the street before someone finally came out.

Overall, an unprofessional operation from start to finish. Poor service, lack of organization, and unreliable cars. I will never rent from Europcar again and do not recommend them to anyone.
