I sent 25 Boxes from Switzerland to…

I sent 25 Boxes from Switzerland to Greece and the shipment took 1.5 months instread of 4 days that were promised.
I am not an expert in export matters but I had to fill out a form with export codes without any knowledge or help from Eurosender. Since I was not assisted with this many things went wrong and the shipment couldn't get out of the costums.
I had to contact the greek costums myself around 15 times to solve the problem because Eurosender did not help me properly after I paid them.
At some point I even got informed that the cosutums might send my things back or destroy them if they wouldnt get the right papers.
This was one of the most stressful experiences I ever had with a company.

Reply from Eurosender

Dear Lara,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sincerely sorry to hear about the stress and delays you experienced with your shipment from Switzerland to Greece.

However, we must clarify the responsibilities regarding international exports and customs procedures. When shipping from a non-EU country like Switzerland, the shipper is legally responsible for the accuracy of the customs declaration.

During the booking process, Eurosender provides a proforma invoice template and a specific guide on how to fill it out. It appears that the rules in this guide were not followed correctly, leading to discrepancies in the description or value of the goods, which is what caused the Greek customs to hold the shipment.

Please understand the following:

Legal Responsibility: The declaration of goods and their corresponding export codes is strictly a matter between the shipper (or consignee) and the customs authorities.

Customs as a State Agency: Customs is a government body, not a part of Eurosender or the courier company. Neither Eurosender nor the courier has the authority to intervene in or influence the legal requirements and inspections mandated by state agencies.

Assistance Limits: While we provide the tools and guides to help you, we cannot legally declare the goods on your behalf or know the exact nature of your items better than you do.

We regret that this was a difficult experience, but we cannot be held responsible for delays or potential disposal of goods resulting from incorrect or incomplete customs documentation provided by the shipper.

BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE USING IT

For anybody considering using this company here is how it works:
1. They advertise with the logos of DHL, FEDEX, UPS, etc. So you migth believe that is what you are shipping with
2. You have to input all the info about your shipping item and destination
3. They give you the choise between different shipping prices and delivery time. The price is usually too god to be true, and the alternatives looks very much like each other. So most likely you end up choosing the cheapest one
4. They dont tell you who is the shipping company!
5. They tell you that is your responsability to check if your good can be shipped or can be ensured or to what maximum are insured on the shipping company "Forbidden or restriced items" listr as well as on the "Terms and Conditions" page. BUT YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SHIPPING COMPANY THEY WILL SHIP WITH, So good luck in reading and understanding a few dozens different shipping companies restirctions for the companies they list and those they do not list but use anyway.
6. Now they want you to pay upfront without knowing who the shipping company is!!!! (often ends up being a low price company like GLS in the EU, which is not mentioned on their first page)
7. So now you have paid a label for a shipment for which you have declared a value, and you are NOT SURE AT ALL IF IT CAN BE SHIPPED OR IF LOST YOU CAN BE REFUNDED as items in forbidden or restricted lists will not be refunded!!!

They lost 4 boxes out of 10

They lost 4 boxes out of 10. When I notified them my loss they asked me for a list of every item contained in the boxes. I sent more then 500 kg of clothes so I didn’t remember exactly. And they don’t ask it before sending it. It was not sufficient providing some items. I lost more than 3.000 euros and they didn’t give me back anything even if I was ensured. Worst ever. Do not use it. Btw it’s impossible now a days to “lose” a tracked pack, they probably stole it.

PLEASE DON’T USE THIS RUBBISH COMPANY – AVOID 100%

I want to follow up with Eurosender’s reply to my review.

They wrote:

According to the information that we can see in the GLS’s tracking system, your shipment was not successfully picked up due to the wrong address you provided us. The zip code and the city did not correspond. Our customer service agents were in the constant contact with you and asked about the next possible date to reschedule the pickup.
Unfortunately, the order is not refundable. Please, understand that after the order is sent to the courier company, they will charge us for this shipment.

My Reply:
I understand you want to steal money to people and you can go ahead as much as you want, but I am 39 years and lived in that house for all my life, the address has been used since ever, don’t you think you should keep a bit of dignity as a (disgusting) company and avoid to treat people like stupid and idiots? You don't have to teach me where I live.

There is nothing that must change in the address, it is correct and registered and used other three times by the s**tty Eurosender. As well a courier can call if it is almost at the destination and has an issue, please stop with harass people with your excuses.

Your horrible costumer service that you pay with money that you steal to us every day is rubbish, they just follow a script and they say the same thing to everyone every time. Check that big list of reviews of complains: impressive the amount of costumers with same address issue, we have to be all idiots providing wrong addresses all over...

Simply Eurosender management is poor (together with your friend company GSL), nothing is organised properly, the only thing that you do very good is to steal money. You keep money of customers instead of organising the collection of package, inventing the address excuse. This is the truth. And can be punished by law as scam.

If you think that people spend their time days after days at home waiting for your poor and inexistent service, waiting for the collection of a package that hasn’t been even organised, you are wrong. But please avoid saying that the address is wrong because we are not idiots.

I have already used another company, my package is safe&sound. Even cheaper than your s**t inexistent service. If I was still dealing with you, my package would be with mold at home still waiting.

I don’t care about my money, keep my refund and use my 47,99 euro to buy toilet paper to clean all that poo that your offices are full of.

Please all people with issue fill all the documentation to the UK European Consumer Centre.

PLEASE DON’T USE THIS RUBBISH COMPANY – AVOID 100%

Job was done well! Communication should be improved!

My case was a bit risky from the beginning, since I wanted three boxes to be delivered from Denmark to Belgium without being present neither on pick-up nor at the delivery. I was aware of the customer's reviews, so I knew what to expect.

Eurosender did the job and I got the boxes in Belgium and I am happy with it!

Of course, DPD (the appointed courier company) had to make several attempts for the pick-up. Since it is clearly stated by Eurosender that the pick-up company may not give you a call to inform you that they are outside your house, I was just hoping that they will read my note and give a call to my flatmate that he was supposed to let them in and take the parcels.

Eurosender customer support was very helpful but they do not communicate with DPD and since you cannot communicate with DPD either, there was a lot of frustration until the pick-up!

Parcels arrived 3-4 days later that was super fine for me. However, they didn't bring them at home but left them at a DPD delivery kiosk close-by. Which means that I had to pay extra service to transport them from the kiosk to my place.

Overall, I am satisfied with Eurosender because the job was done and in a really low price. If the coordination and communication with the courier companies existed, then Eurosender would make a real Revolution in Logistics Industry in Europe.

I had the worst experience with …

I had the worst experience with Eurosender. I do NOT recommend it.
They are not reliable, nor do they seem to care for their customers.

On the pick-up day they did not show up - the customer service had no idea what happened and absolutely no solution, the transporting company did not answer the phone. The next day I tried to contact them - again: no solution. They did show up with absolutely no explanation.

My luggages were supposed to arrive in 3 working days. They arrived in 6 working days. Again: no explanations, no excuses.

I made a complaint, but I only received an automatic reply of theirs that I should read their policy.

I am completely disappointed with this company and strongly suggest you to avoid any contact with it.

Have a nice day.

Worst courier service EVER- DO NOT USE

Worst courier service EVER- DO NOT USE
Have never had such appalling service and such an rude and unhelpful customer service team. We ordered a collection and 3 day delivery of a parcel, containing a bike, to Estonia for a race that week, with a return collection and delivery to denmark after the race. 5 days later it wasn't there. They said the box had been rejected (They didnt think to tell us this) and was still in Denmark. The same day they tel us this rubbish, they decide to send it to Slovenia after we specifically asked for it to stay in Denmark as it was needed back there the next week, meaning they lied about it not being able to be sent. yesterday we have been told by several different people that it couldbe in as many as 4 different countries!!! How can thy not know!? Today (8 days after original collection) it arrives in Estonia ( 3 days after the race it was needed for). In this time no-one has been able to give us any informaton, no-one has apologized, no-one has made any effort to help us get the bike back to Denmark faster, no-one has taken any responsibility, no-one has explained what has happened and we have been offered no refund or compensation. We don't even know when we will get the parcel back in Denmark. Their service is so bad I would advise you to NEVER use them.
