Evida keeps sending me bills for gas delivery, even though my gas meter and boiler were completely removed over 3.5 months ago. We no longer use gas at all — we switched to district heating with a brand new system. I’m no longer being charged for gas itself, only for delivery, which makes absolutely no sense. I’ve already complained once, and nothing has changed. This is unacceptable and extremely frustrating.

We bought an apartment in September 2024 and immediately contacted Evida about it, asking to forward the invoices to us. They (understandable enough) answered that they cannot do that as our name is not on the subscription.
Each time I contacted them about it, they just referred to GDPR and were unwilling to engage in a conversation about it or advising us how to solve the issue. Even though we tried on multiple occasions to get them to give us the amount we should pay them (without sending gas usage, invoice or GDPR protected contact details of the previous owners), they refused to do so, However, they would gladly charge us late fees.
In the end we had to change gas provider to forcably change the gas subscription to our name. While that worked, we still had to pay late fees on invoices we have no idea about (we still don't know what our gas usage is and Evida won't tell us) and now their customer service is even more dismissive and also won't help me to change to Betalingsservice.
I know the situation and GDPR laws are complex, but this bad rating is purely based on how unhelpful and dismissive their customer service has been in conversation (which went on in Danish btw before anybody can blame language barrier)

Man får modsigende forklaringer.
De var flere måneder om at få lavet en slutopgørelse og jeg har kontaktet deres uduelige kundeservice utallige mange gange med samme svar: "Vi sætter dine regninger i bero. Ingen bekymring. Slutopgørelsen er snart klar. Alt slutter snart....blå bla bla! ...".

Almost 4 times more a-conto, compared to all the previous years, for no reason.... and without any notification... Have you changed something? If yes, I should have been informed in advance... and ask me if I consider this new term OK.
I have a consumption of 8m3 per quarter, so how dare you charge for a-konto of 600 dkk for gas bills that are nearly 100 dkk per quarter??
This is NOT OK

Evida changes the Rules and a Corrupt State Entity approves ? I have a lot to tell about State Corruption so those Entities shall act very careful and stay away, unless they want to be fully exposed ... Of course a 19.6% yearly interest Rate will also apply. And every Time will be billed & reported here.
Now (possibly Blackmail ?) that you can force a Disconnection at my Cost ? Thief!
As I said, the rules when I applied for the free disconnection are not the ones you mention now! The disconnection was free of charge and without any other condition. Don't try to change the subject! If when I decided to keep the gas the rule had changed, you clearly failed to inform me about that!!!
And if a corrupted agency makes up some random rule in order to let you screw people over doesn't change that. The country is full of government Corruption that needs to (and will) be addressed. You are only a very small part of that broken system! You are not getting a special treatment, dont you worry.
Either you disconnect for free or you will pay for every gas reading from me. Companies that keep screwing people over will be treated with the respect they deserve. I had enough of dealing with companies that do whatever they want.
You change your rules, then you disconnect according to the old rules, i. e. Free disconnection.
And of course if you disconnect according to the corrupted law that you mention you have right to, will not of course not get a single Kroner for that.
And since I already tried to reach an Agreement with you before and you persist with your current attitude, according to my rules this is an additional 30 Minutes of my Time which you will pay for at a rate of 2000 dkk / hour, i. e. 1000 dkk.
Its not so fun to get a taste of your own medecine eh? You change your rules, I change mine accordingly.
I'm not your bank and I will not accept whatever new terms and conditions that any company puts up!
You want to screw me, then I will screw you.
You treat me correctly, then I treat you correctly.
The choice was (and is) yours.
=========================================
Evida manages the disconnection scheme on behalf of Energistyrelsen which randomly checks that applications meet the criteria of the scheme.
When you switched to another heating source and chose to keep your gas supply, the criteria of the disconnection scheme were the same as they are now. This means that you must have a minimum annual consumption of 100 m³ to be eligible for the disconnection grant. If this requirement is not met, disconnecting the gas supply will cost 10.125 DKK.
The criteria for the disconnection scheme are also available on our website: Afkoblingsordning (evida.dk)
The disconnection fee is based on the costs associated with the service it covers.
The disconnection fee includes the following services provided by Evida:
Removal of the gas meter
Evida excavates the area where the service line is connected to the street line outside the property boundary on public land.
The service line is disconnected from the street line.
Paving/asphalt at the street line is restored
Evida removes the meter cabinet near the house (except for cabinets built into the wall) and remove the visible riser pipe near the house just below the ground surface.
Evida’s tariffs must comply with the law, which states that the tariff must reflect the costs incurred.
A significant portion of Evida’s costs to operate and maintain the gas network are fixed and independent of how much gas is consumed.
Therefore, everyone who uses the gas network must contribute to these costs.
We would like to draw your attention to the distribution conditions, section 3.3, which states that Evida can disconnect the gas supply without the customer’s consent if no gas has been consumed for at least one year. Evida is entitled to charge the prevailing disconnection fee in connection with the disconnection. The distribution conditions are attached to this email as Appendix 1.
Evida does not pay you to read your gas meter every quarter.
If you do not wish to pay the new tariffs, which has been notified September 20, 2024, you can terminate your gas supply before the new changes come into force on January 1, 2025. We maintain that this will be subject to a disconnection fee of 10.125 DKK.
Forsyningstilsynet must ensure that Evida's methods comply with the Gas Supply Act and approve the method Evida uses to set the tariffs.
Additionally, Forsyningstilsynet sets an annual framework for the amount of revenue Evida is allowed to charge for operating the company and the costs that can be included in our tariffs.
If Forsyningstilsynet approves Evida's new tariff model, the decision is final and cannot be appealed. Evida's tariffs are established in accordance with the approved method, and there is no right to appeal the set tariffs

Update2: Mia helped us to cancel the costs of closing and opening the gas at our address. Thank you for understanding and for your help!
Update: Mathias from Evida called me and he was very nice to assist me. They promised to open the gas the same day.
Thank you, Mathias!
Short Story:
Evida, you are in direct violation of the law. BEK no 340 of 23/03/2023 - "Bekendtgørelse om forbrugeraftaler om levering af gas", 11th paragraph, section 5. You did not send me any invoice whatsoever until this date at my address. But, you cut off the gas! If you know where to cut off the gas, you know my address as well.
I expect you will reconnect the gas ASAP. I will not pay a dime for your mishaps!
Long story:
Ever since I landed in Denmark, it's like all the companies here are playing a grand game of "Let's Confuse the New Guy!" First, there's Clever, then CEJ, and now Evida? Seriously, do these companies have a secret pact to drive newcomers nuts? Hint: I sued CEJ, and Clever, my legal crosshairs are locked on you next. Should I send Evida a lawsuit-themed party invitation? Let's see if they can dance their way out of it!
According to Evida, I owe them money. How much? I'm as clueless as a cat at a dog show! Evida must have sent my bill to Narnia because it sure didn't make its way to my mailbox or e-boks. Or maybe they tried to be extra clever and sent it to the wrong address while cutting off my gas at the right one. If Evida pulled a stunt like that, I'd have to say, with all due apologies... Evida, you're in the running for the "Dumbest Move of the Year" award!
So, they decided to play the "Cut-the-Gas Right Before the Weekend" game when it's a chilly 4 degrees outside. I've got no idea how much I owe. I called OK, because I thought I was paying for "OK" gas, but now I'm told I have to pay Evida for gas transportation too. One company gets the gas from the Russians, and the other charges me for the pipes. It's like they're in a silent movie where nobody communicates!
Evida pulls the gas cut-off trigger and demands 800 DKK for the snip, 1000 DKK to play the world's strongest gas connection game, and to top it off, they want 5000 DKK as a "Legal Fees Extravaganza." Legal fees for what? I'd need a detective and a crystal ball to figure out what I'm supposed to owe them.
I tried going online, attempting to create an account, inputting my email, address, and all that jazz, but it's like trying to teach a cat to breakdance – it ain't happening. I'm here, still clueless about what I owe Evida, with no bill in my mailbox, no communication in my e-box, nothing in my eboks, just a big question mark hanging over my head.
This whole situation feels more like a plot from an Italian mafia movie. Evida, are you secretly owned by the Italian mafia or the Russians? Somebody spill the espresso beans!
For the love of all that's good and sensible, Evida, get your act together, send the bill to the right address (you know where to cut the gas from, don't you?), and please, for the sake of our sanity, connect the gas without demanding 800 + 1000 + 5000 DKK. Are you guys playing gas roulette? Is someone over there mentally challenged or just playing "Let's Confuse the New Guy" with extra twists and turns?

Called regarding being charged for gas for over 6 months after having shifted to varmepumpe. According to them I have used approximately 4x as much gas as my neighbors (rakkehuse), which is virtually impossible without running a public sauna. I was told that the gas I was charged for after demonstrably not being connected to a gas line I still have to pay for. Was told “I can’t see anything in my systems except a total amount”, so zero possibility to reach an agreement with this company retroactively when they overcharge you. Total scammers!
ETA: They charged me for 1400m3 of gas from AFTER the pipe was removed in November, specified by month. They have no readings to support that whatsoever, just claimed a total that lined up perfectly with what they pre-charged for a full year.

Evida decides that you have to report on your use 4 times a year and unilaterally change your contract. Evida then decides that they had better send you 4 letters via eboks to tell you that you need to report your usage. Evida does not however bother to provide you with somewhere to write to complain to them or contact them (try Googling Evida contact) - does any one know how you can change company. They should be better regulated by the government. This doesn't happen in any other country I know of.
