Only had small shipment from New Zealand 5 boxes and 1 guitar but they still kept me informed by e-mail as to how shipment was progressing kept in touch when delivery would be made.Very good.

Efficient, timely and little hassle. All you can ask

Used Excess International to assist with our move from UK to Australia. They have made this process so easy for myself and my family. We were a little nervous with the process before we met with Excess International. Once the estimator came out all our nerves were put to rest, all the staff that have assisted have been so friendly and professional. Would recommend them with any move without a doubt. I used Anglo Pacific last time and they were an utter nightmare - in fact I should have made a formal complaint but lost the will to go through with any more contact with them. Excess International have been so professional and easy to deal with and the whole thing has left me calm and relaxed - a super easy transition. Moving internationally is always a difficult time. Right now my body (and now all my things) are in the UK but a part of my heart is still in Hong Kong, so I'm extremely grateful that their team made this particular aspect of it all easy on me.

Excess were the receiving company for my goods and car from New Zealand. Their service, attention to detail and approach was extremely professional and effective. The pack-in was expertly co-ordinated by Deborah from the Wembley office; the team were on-time and handled the unload and unpack very effectively, including dealing with an in-transit breakage well. I was also very impressed with how flexible Deborah was with the import of my car. She helped to arrange a suitable date for collection, including help to temporarily park the car I arrived in at their secure parking area. My imported car was in great shape and the whole experience was seamless.
Great work from Deborah, the pack in team (led by Dave I think) and the warehouse leader with the car.

Very clear process, extremely helpful people who always answered quickly and precisely. I thought it would be more complicated than that to move abroad, but these people made it very easy. The moving crew were always on time and very quick.

Great experience. Shipment had been well treated in transit and was in excellent condition without loss, breakage, or damage. From start to finish this process has been nothing more than professional.
Our first move was from England to Canada in 2008. We used Excess and couldn't be happier. Everything arrived within the allotted time scale and fully intact.

Fast forward to 2018 and our move to Spain. We went through Excess again who partnered with Quality Move Management out of Canada. Everything was package to a high standard. The movers were very friendly, courteous and top class at their profession.

Admin from both companies have been on the ball and followed up after every stage to make sure things were going well. True concern from all parties.

Hats off to the Spanish staff this end too! Again dealing with any issues from customs (theres always something in Spain!) very professionally and with always a concern for a quick delivery.

No second thoughts, I'd use all concerned again wherever we decide to move to again!

We both remained cool calm and collected as we dealt with step by step of security measures which had to be followed before the shipment could leave London for Switzerland. We were moving from Sydney to London and i was so worried about choosing a company that would get our things from one side of the world to other. Excess International Movers was fantastic from start to finish. Dan who came to our place to give us an estimate of how much stuff we had and what we needed. He was friendly and professional. The next day i had a quote in my inbox. Morgane from the office answered about a million of my questions without any problems she was so helpful. The two men that came to our house on the day to pack up everything were wonderful they asked what needed to go and we showed them breakables which they packaged with extra care. We had a 2 bedroom apartment to be packaged and shipped to Sydney and everything arrived safe. Within 3 months i had all of our belongings in our lounge room in Australia. I cannot thank the team and Excess International Movers enough they made such a big task stress free. Dan & Morgane thank you for all your help and patience.

Deborah was great and I was kept informed of the progress of my consignment (reference 7028817) from the moment it arrived in the UK from South Africa. After completing the required HMRC documentation it was quickly submitted and it was soon after that I was given a delivery date. When I asked if I could be one of the first to be delivered to on the day Deborah made the request on my behalf, and I was really pleased it arrived at the time I was told it would be delivered. I would definitely recommend Excess International Movers.

We moved from Toronto to Barcelona and have had nothing but issues with them since the beginning. I have NEVER experienced such abysmal service in all of my life. I would have never chosen this company had I known what I know now and after reading the new reviews that have surfaced over the last couple of months.

They gave us incorrect information when filling out paperwork, which created much more paperwork for us to complete
They gave incorrect dollar amount maximums, so our packages reached Barcelona and were then returned to Canada due to their wrong recommended information. Their lack of attention to detail, especially with written communication/documentation created many unnecessary issues and an enormous mess for us to clean up
The boxes were supposed to reach us within 7 business days, we received them 30+ days later (Additional costs were involved for this expedited air service)
We wasted time, money (had to purchase dishes, clothing, long distance calls to Excess, DHL), effort to locate these boxes as this company refused to update us/help us locate them
We eventually had to escalate our case to DHL and within Excess numerous times in order for our case to actually be taken seriously and worked on by upper management (My spouse and I spent upwards of 5 hours per day over a month e-mailing and on the phone with Excess and DHL)
Vacation days/time off work were used sitting at home waiting for packages to come that Excess promised would arrive that day and never came
We had to argue with them to get daily updates, as days would go by with no update on the whereabouts of our missing boxes
When boxes finally reached us, because of all of the back and forth and amount of times they were inspected, the contents were broken/damaged/missing (We received only 40 pounds refund for the broken contents)
Excess team lacked serious knowledge in international moving expertise, where we were forced to research and look into matters ourselves
Two months later, after fighting with them consistently for some sort of compensation (as they did not provide the service they agreed to), we finally received an extremely low and disappointing refund after all that we went through. The Regional Manager actually told us "You will receive the refund next week, as this is when all of the refunds are processed". This obviously shows how many Customers they have done this to, if there are numerous refund being processed at once.
TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, UNEDUCATED IN INTERNATIONAL MOVING/LAWS/REGULATIONS
The team at Excess will waste your time, lie to you and not adhere to any of the promises/timelines that they say they will

I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Excess International Movers and the people they work with in America. I have used Excess twice. On each occasion, the business of packing up and transporting my belongings to the USA and back again some years later was done efficiently (you should see how well they were packed!) and everyone involved was helpful and pleasant to work with. My things arrived safely and are now waiting to be unpacked. They are brilliant. May thanks to all involved.
