We used Excess International to ship two boxes home from UK to Australia including a newish-bike and other travel momentos and foolishly didn't get insurance. Received a notification that the boxes were due to arrive at the port in October 2016 - 3 months after we had shipped them - only for the date to arrive and still no boxes. Chased both companies (Allied Pickfords in Aus) every two weeks until December when it was by then very obvious that we wouldn't be receiving our boxes. It's now March 2017 and we have just received a refund for the initial shipping costs. Extremely disappointing is an understatement - don't risk using Excess International Movers like we did!

I have used this company several times and on each occasion they have provided true excellence in service. No detail is too small and their communication is always prompt and clear. I not only recommend them, I have total trust in their service.

Excess Baggage provided a professional and efficient service in the packing up, removal to storage and eventual transfer to Italy from London. I would highly recommend them.

My international flatmove was flawless from the beginning to end. The packing guys in London were on time, efficient and polite. The operation was handed over to their European partners to complete the journey to Austria and they were also highly professional. Nicely done all around.

We moved from Finland to Chile and Excess took care of our belongings.
Almost everything was handled fine in terms of punctuality, reliability, attentiveness, etc.

The only problem we had was with the Chilean Agency who overcharged us and were very difficult to deal with, however Excess helped us to sort the matter out.

Overall, we would recommend Excess for this type of complicated move.

Two overseas consignments were inadvertently combined well before Excess (as UK agent) became involved. While no one in the background jumped to take the blame or the responsibility, Excess simply got on with their job and did their best to move matters forward - maintaining a professional yet commonsense attitude toward the sorting of 'who would pay' for the inevitable extra time and manpower involved. I at all times felt I was dealing with people who put themselves in my shoes and shared my wish to get things sorted ASAP. Everyone tried - but Deborah Gilbert was the standout. Not quite finished yet, but all is looking to end well. Happy to wholeheartedly recommend.

We moved from CA back to the UK and used Nedrac in CA who in turn partner with Excess in the UK. They were great and kept us informed as soon as our vessel was due to arrive at the UK port. Franciele did a great job of keeping on top of everything for us and arranged a place to park the container close to our property and shuttle our goods to our door. She also arranged storage of the container until we could take delivery a few days later, and all at a reasonable cost. There was a crew of 5 unpacking that day and although this service wasn't quite as good as when we moved to CA it was still pretty faultless. Eric, Dimitar and David especially were very friendly and helpful and did the job well. I would recommend Excess for your move.

My first point of contact was with Yasmin Wright, and from the outset my enquiry was handled promptly and efficiently and although I have used luggage collection companies frequently for domestic purposes the experience with EIM was first class.
I woul definitely use your company again and recommend to all international travelers.

From the collection and packing at my apartment in Abu Dhabi straight to the off loading at my home in Devon, the service and communication was excellent.

Excess International were attentive to my requests about moving, their packers came punctually and worked hard and long hours to pack everything carefully and I have been kept up to date during the process so far.

From a presales perspective, as you'd expect the experience was flawless and very professional. Once sold though, I found that if you wanted to get updates you have to chase as they are not very proactive in providing you with any info upfront. E.g. container details were provided 3 weeks after the container left the port...
I appreciate the amount spent with them was not very much but I wonder how the company deals with bigger clients. As it stands, they really don't take into consideration that you may be part of a large corporation where international moves happen at a rate of 100 per week, so a good recommendation could bring them more business.

In summary, great presales, packing service, goods arrived in good condition with only a couple of kitchenware items cracked, back office communications not very proactive and issues always had to be resolved via general manager (the customs bill was missed by the local delivery and they were threatening to charge me storage fees - luckily got resolved)

Kept me up to date every step of the way. When my goods were handed over to a 3rd party who unfortunately split my delivery, Excess were right onto them and got it sorted for me. Great all round service and would highly recommend this company!!

I had a very short time scale for moving from Romania back to the UK but Excess Intl moved me within a week of getting a quote from them and then delivered on the exact day I needed in the UK.

The service I received from everyone from quoting, booking, packing and unpacking was absolutely excellent. Every person I had contact with was professional, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Excess International Movers were always quick to respond. Their movers in England, Pickfords, were very good; and Coburns in Canada were also very good. My belongings were delivered to my new home on 1st September just as I'd taken possession. Everything was perfect. I'd certainly recommend Excess Movers, and their English and Canadian movers, again to anyone.

'Children' leave home and masses left behind! I happened to have saved a box with Excess international Movers details on the side which had been used about seven years earlier! There was a (free) phone number which I called and from then on everything was taken care of. Boxes and packaging tape delivered and collected by arrangement. Help with customs forms over the phone.....nothing too much trouble.
It was interesting to be able to track the boxes across the Atlantic and amazingly (+ due to six hour time difference in Dallas,) the boxes (including a harp!) actually arrived at my daughter's home within hours on the same day they left UK! Thank you for a great service!
