My experience with Expedia was great. The tours were well organized. We had transportation to and from every organized event. There was also enough free time built-in for us to enjoy relaxing, and doing what we wanted to do. All of the guides and hotels were phenomenal.
For the price, you really can’t beat Exoticca!

I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent holiday to Indonesia booked through Exoticca, under the reference EX. The trip was significantly affected by a series of failures that fell well below the standard advertised and expected from your company.
The most serious issues were as follows: • Incorrect flight arrangements: The flight timings provided at the point of booking did not match the flights ultimately issued on arrival at the destination by your representative, and more importantly, on the supposed actual days of travel. These changes were not properly communicated by you the company or your local representative, resulting in unnecessary disruption to the journey.
Poor performance by your destination representative: The Exoticca representative in Indonesia failed to provide the level of support and coordination promised by your packages. Information was unclear or incorrect, assistance was minimal, and at times the representative was simply unavailable. This lack of professionalism caused avoidable confusion and diminished the overall experience.
These issues caused considerable inconvenience, reduced the value of the holiday, and undermined the confidence I had placed in Exoticca when booking. The service delivered did not match the description provided at the point of sale, nor did it reflect the standards your company promotes.

I notified exoticca 2 weeks ago that we had received notice from the airline that the second leg of our outbound journey had changed to the day before, meaning the whole holiday needed to be checked/changed. Despite several phone calls, email, bit chat, Whatsapp messages I am still awaiting a call/contact. What causes it to be even more frustrating is that when I check the exact same holiday on the same day, they have amended the flight details for anyone new booking this holiday. HOW ABOUT UPDATING YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS?! Very poor customer service

France in springtime is lovely! This trip was to celebrate my sister-in-law’s retirement. Our group included my husband, two brother-in-laws and my sister-in-law. The tour was perfect for our group as it was well planned and we didn’t have to drive. Our tour guide, Andrea was fantastic! She kept us on track and smiling. Our historic tour guide in Normandy was exceptional. She told stories that brought the history to life.

I was nervous about the independent aspect, because I am in my 70s and have never traveled without my late husband before. I was however lucky and able to connect with a couple from Europe occasionally, which gave me an occasional sense of community. I guess if you’re always by yourself and have nobody to connect with to share your experiences or compare notes for the journey ahead of you, it might not be your cup of tea. I surprised myself and it turned out to be an awesome trip!

Guide was very knowledgeable. The hotels were all clean and well maintained. The choice of stops and optional activities was varied. Can we talk about our bus driver that parallel parked the bus on a narrow street in one move?!?!?

The tour guides were excellent and the sites we visited were as advertised. It gave us a great overall vision of Portugal, the people, history and food. Travelling up the west coast from Lisbon to Porto and then to the Algarve gave us a tremendous overall view of Portugal.

We have had the pleasure of touring Morocco, and the experience has been exceptional—due in no small part to our guide, Sabbahi Mohammed, and our driver, Hassan.
Mohammed has been outstanding in every respect. His depth of knowledge is remarkable, and he shares it in a way that is both engaging and accessible, blending professionalism with a natural sense of humour. Managing a group of 21 travelers is no small task, yet he does so with ease—demonstrating consistent patience, attentiveness, and genuine care for each guest. His ability to anticipate needs, handle requests gracefully, and maintain a positive group dynamic has significantly enhanced our experience.
I would confidently and enthusiastically recommend Mohammed to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and highly capable guide.
Hassan, our driver, also deserves special recognition. His skill and composure behind the wheel have been impressive, particularly given driving conditions that many of us—especially as Canadians—would find quite challenging. We have felt safe and well looked after at all times.
Together, Mohammed and Hassan have made this journey not only seamless but truly memorable. We would happily rate our adventure a ten out of ten.

Horrible customer service. I’m with my family on a trip and had selected the superior package and paid thousands of dollars collectively ($3,000 per family) to get accommodated into a 4 star hotel as a part of their “Superior” category. Our stay of 3 days in one of the hotels is a 3 star and is actually really horrible; it does not meet 4 star classification in any world - there’s no safe, no dead bolt, and the beds are squeaky, and our hotel room opens up to a tin roof and overlooks the employees eating area at the restaurant that’s attached to our hotel. Service is pretty good but overall a shitty hotel.
I had requested one of the specific hotels on their list a few months prior and was not notified that we’d be booked into this 3 star hotel. Furthermore their customer service is horrible, no one gives me a straight answer and every agent gives me the run around- the international team tells me to message the regional team and no one can do anything.
If I knew I’d have to stay at basically a hostel, I’d prepare as such and not pay over $3,000 usd for upgrades to a shitty hotel.
The whole thing is so unorganized, I’ve gotten so many emails with attachments and even had a seminar a day prior to the trip but the information was incorrect. I feel like it was a class and the professor gave some incorrect information. Horrible experience and my group of friends and network will never use this deceitful company that just takes your money and doesn’t deliver what they should.

Making the reservation was fairly easy over the phone. The sales-agent was able to answer my questions clearly. I was then able to communicate with him via email. The trip is only taking place in 6 months, so I can't comment on that yet.

Egypt is overflowing with amazing sights.
Tour guides provided historical context making each site very memorable.
The pace of each day was great.
Hotels and boat provided excellent food and service.
The Grand Egyptian Museum was an even better experience than I could have imagined. The guide moved us through the massive space with expertise.
My only complaint was the wifi on the boat was expensive, unstable, and did not provide service in all spaces. I was not advised that the service would be unreliable or that it did not cover all spaces. Had I been provided that information - I would not have wasted my vacation dollars.

We had the Spain trip in mid March. It was organized very well. Our tour guide Miguel did his job professionally with kind & friendly manner. He had an excellent knowledge of history about the places that we visited. It ignited our curiosity. The hotels we stayed were fairly comfortable, specially the breakfasts were very good.
The only drawback was the bad experience with Delta Airlines on our way back. Yet we came home carrying wonderful memories of our trip to Spain.

Our trip to Morocco with Exoticca is pure excellence. How lucky we were to have Mohammed Sabbahi as our tour leader. His expert timing, storytelling, humour and vast knowledge was best in class. I thank him personally for anticipating our every need and communicating so effectively. Most notably, Mohammed’s passion for educating us in the historical traditions was tremendously inspiring.
Our bus driver,Hassan, effortlessly navigated smooth travel everywhere. The hotels were comfortable and the food was delicious. Especially the dates and tangines.
I highly recommend this tour made incredible by Mohammed.
