Overall, I am very happy with the service. I would rank the quality of service between 4 and 5, say 4.5 / 5.

First, my critical comments are: 1) the web portal was a bit hard to use, but mostly okay; 2) there were several errors in the first round, which took me a good 6 hours to spot; 3) a quick call could have made the process easier. That is, I had to learn the forms and their structure to isolate the errors.

But in the end, the team was super responsive, and everything was smooth thereafter. These are complicated things, and perhaps it is impossible to avoid such issues. Overall, I am very happy with the service.

Having NEVER done any form of tax returns Expat Tax Online has been a Godsend as I am in the process of renouncing my US citizenship & had to do 5 years tax for the IRS even though I have been a British Citizen all my life.

Geraldine was excellent when it came to chasing information, confirming details, and following up in a timely manner. Another year, another positive experience filing taxes with Expat Tax Online. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is the time between submission and final preparation of my return - I do have a business so more forms to fill, but 7+ weeks seemed a bit longer than usual. But all's well, and will continue to use this company in the future.

I am a US resident living in Spain on a Non-Lucrative visa. The tax system here and the subsequent requirements for filing in the US are a paperwork nightmare. After having a total failure with another firm that simply could not accomplish my US filing with the foreign tax credit applied, I made a switch just to get everything finished on time. Communication and responsiveness from the friendly and professional team was great as usual.

I’ve dealt with them for a number of years including filing late, multiple returns, and increased complexity in my tax situation. The online portal makes things relatively straightforward to manage.

Service is good, though, I do feel like the service level and attention has decreased after a couple of tax returns.
I am not sure why I pay the same amount for tax return and FBAR even though less work is required.

i've used expattaxonline for several years now and it's always pleasurable to deal with their staff.. this year in particular Ronald and Roshiella. always prompt responses to my questions and the filing is done in a really timely manner. highly recommend.

Incredible response time, never made me feel like any questions i had were too dumb or silly. 100% worth the money & I will be using this service again in the new year
