I am very thankful to Explore Learning Barking for the support they gave my son. From the start, the whole team was kind, patient, and very supportive. The tutors are amazing, and the management team is professional, caring, and well organised.
At the beginning, I was very worried because my son was not happy at all about going to a tuition centre. The team took time to understand him and support him in the right way. Because of this, his confidence grew quickly, and he started to enjoy going.
My son has made very good progress in a short time, both academically and emotionally. Now he goes happily, which means a lot to me as a parent. I truly appreciate everything the team has done and highly recommend Explore Learning Barking to other families.

Explore Learning in Darnley, Glasgow, is a welcoming, engaging and professional environment. My 8 year old son attended for 2.5 years.
Explore Learning took into account my sons age, academic requirements and ability and helped tailor the Explore curriculum to meet his needs. My son grew in confidence and knowledge which empowered him in his school environment. Explore also have online resources for parents to track progress and for children to further develop themselves.
As part of the package, Explore staff schedule Progress meetings which are great, as its a chance to discuss your child's learning. The meetings are a relaxed and informal way to discuss the direction you want your child's learning to progress.
At the Reception desk, staff are always helpful and professional and engage the child on arrival and departure. This is a good system which provides a space for children to be greeted and adults to update staff with anything required.
I would recommend Explore Learning to nuture learning in a different environment other than school. Where confidence is boosted and learning can be made more engaging and fun.

Explore Learning is terrible. The staff put on a front that they care, but they don’t. Since the management changed at the Oxford branch, the service has become horrendous. My daughter didn’t particularly enjoy it before, but now she completely refuses to go. Children sit with their hands up for help for long periods of time without support, and sessions often start late despite paying for the full session. They clearly take on too many children to manage properly, and the quality of care and learning has seriously declined. I also intend to report further concerns to Ofsted.

Hiba and Zehra are incredibly well organised, welcoming and accomodating to a whole host of different needs. We put our son through the 11+ tuition and not only did he really enjoy it, but Hiba went out of her way to open up even more resources to us to best prepare him for other exams. That level of dedication is rare and not forgotten. Thank you so much.

Would rate 0 star if the option existed. My experience was with the New Barnet branch, although my feedback relates to their policy so it is likely to apply across all their branches.
In August 2025 their staff booked Tuesday and Wednesday sessions for my daughter all the way through to end of December. I gave notice to cancel our subscription at the beginning of December, owing to tight budgets, expecting my daughter to attend the pre-booked and pre-paid December sessions we had on the clock. It turned out that the 24, 30 and 31 December sessions did not exist because they would be closed for Christmas, even though their own staff had booked these sessions for us and their system told us that those sessions existed....up until the very last minute when the dates were upon us and then the sessions suddenly disappeared from their system! Apparently they sent out emails to tell us to re-book those sessions, but I did not receive those emails. Regardless, it is very unfair for their process to place the onus on the parents to re-schedule sessions that Explore Learning themselves had pre-booked, and that their system said existed! We were available to attend the sessions, they were the ones who were closed and not available to provide the service we had already paid for. Hiding behind 'we should have rescheduled' is frankly dishonest.
So their policy is to keep my pre-payment for those sessions even though those sessions didn't actually exist because they were closed for Christmas; they refused to re-schedule the sessions for the new year or to provide a refund.
To make matters worse, their complaints process is handled by the same people enforcing their unfair policies, therefore my complaint was not assessed by anyone independent - talk about marking your own homework! From the responses I received it was crystal clear that my case would not be considered fairly, s/he was clearly biased in favour of his/her team and did not even consider my points!
Shocking practices. I was a long term customer, I had been using Explore Learning on and off (whenever budget permitted) for 7 years.

First scheduled session was cancelled - noticed on the morning of the scheduled session and tried to contact the company c.5 times through various mediums (contact form, phone, email) with no reply. Session was then reinstated with no notification - did not attend as was not aware - then received an email 30 minutes after the start time of the session asking us to join within 15 minutes of the start time... Sent a complaint asking to reschedule, tried to contact again via phone - still no response. Trying here as trust pilot say they respond to negative reviews within 24 hours....
