From a dormer practically being built, to then being demolished, this ended up being a much more complicated job than first expected for us all! With some council planning and conservation area issues along the way, this was a stressful learning curve all round. That said, Shane and Nick were friendly and helpful throughout and most importantly, I’ve ended up with the home office I actually wanted, thanks guys!

We have had nothing but first class service from Extra Space Developments, and are thoroughly delighted with the resulting loft conversion. The guys were a delight to work with, highly professional in all their activities, hardworking and always tidied up at the end of every day. They happily accommodated some small changes and additions to the build, and I would have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

Shane and the team did a fantastic job with our loft conversion (an 1850s farmhouse). Communication was great throughout the process, they worked to a high standard, always cleared up well, and were a pleasure to have in the house.

New loft bedroom and ensuite looks fantastic. Our daughter is thrilled with her beautiful new bedroom. Right from the start of the project there has been great communication especially from those on site particularly from Kaine. We were fully informed throughout the project with our thoughts and wishes taken fully into account when designing our new space. Any issues that did arise were sorted out straight away. Once finished our neighbours were really eager to explore our new space and they have positively praised the finished product! With comments such as: the staircase looks like it’s always been here. Wow, it’s such a big room, you don’t know how big your house is until you develop the loft space. And you must be really happy with the finished product.

Shane, Niki, Adrian and the Extra Space Developments team did a fantastic job of transforming our Victorian terrace loft space into a spacious and light double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. We particularly love the huge picture window in the dormer extension. The job took 3 months and was finished to a very high standard. We communicated via a WhatsApp group so we and the team knew what was happening at all times. Everyone who worked on the job was friendly and professional and we highly recommend them if you’re looking for a loft conversion specialist.

Communication great throughout, took on board our ideas and shared the benefit of their experience readily. They really want to achieve a high standard and are happy to go above and beyond to satisfy customers. A loft conversion inevitably involves a fair amount of upheaval, but they worked hard to keep things as clean and tidy as possible through the job. All linked / recommended trades have been good to work with too. I would highly recommend.

Great company with great staff, high quality of work carried out

After getting a couple of quotes from builders that either over quoted or simply didn't really know the best way of doing the job we then got in contact with Shane at Extra Space Developments, who was recommended to us from a previous customer. Professional from the outset and extremely knowledgeable, Shane answered all of our questions and made it very easy for us to make the decision.
The whole team was extremely polite, (special shout out to Adrian - both children constantly asking me when Adrian is coming back and our dog Bailey has never been so spoilt, he's an absolute grafter as well💪) courteous and catered for our needs, especially when I was working night shifts. They were constantly on the go and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We had our problems with some neighbours along the way but the guys dealt with it professionally. All in all a great experience and an extremely high quality finish, we have 2 young children and it has given us such a great space to watch films together as a family.

The team from Extra Space Developments were professional, reliable and friendly. We struggled initially with getting quotes due to the area and having an older property. Once we got in touch with Shane, he came out quickly and assured us the work was possible and that we would get more space than expected. There were a couple of hiccups along the way, as expected with our type of property, but we were beyond impressed with the way these were resolved. The finished loft has completely transformed our home and we couldn’t recommend them more.

Great team, all friendly and tidy up at the end of the day. Shane coordinates everything so there's more people on the days they are needed to make speedy progress... My only advice is be prepared to make decisions quickly as they come around much faster than you realise! If you are looking for an efficient and professional loft conversion then I'd recommend.

Very professional, great attention to detail, always tidy and communication was great.

It is the first time I have had a house extension carried out. Shane was helpful and reassuring from the start. We had flexibility to make tweaks as we went along and felt supported to make good long term decisions. Max and Martin who did most of the building work were friendly, professional, and very tidy. We are really pleased with how the loft turned out and would use Extra Space again and would recommend them to friends.

We are so glad we found Shane, Nik and the team because from start to finish they were utterly professional, really friendly and a genuine joy to deal with.

Being a same sex couple can make it extra daunting when you're looking for a company to do major works in your house, but these guys were so courteous and great to be around, they made the whole process easy and smooth.

Every single member of their team were helpful, polite and clean workers, who always listened to what we were envisioning for the loft (no matter how badly we explained stuff), before making fantastic recommendations of how to get the best results possible. Literally everything they advised was spot on and they really cared about the final product even though they weren't the ones living in it.

Nik, Sam, Tom and the whole team were so great and extremely patient with us when we didn't understand the more technical things they were talking about. They'd always make sure we knew exactly what was going on and kept us informed and reassured all the way through. Their knowledge and skills are evident by the literal 'wows' we get when people see the new upstairs space in our home.

Their plumbers Sam and Lee were nothing short of amazing. Not only did they go above and beyond in everything they did. Fantastic guys to deal with, nothing was too much trouble for them and we can't speak highly enough of them both. The tiler did a fantastic job in both bathrooms too.

Every single member of the team turned up when they said they would, on time (through rain and snow), clear communication throughout which is rare to find nowadays, it seems they really do pride themselves on providing a great customer experience which is so refreshing and we just feel so lucky that we found them.

Shane is a great guy who obviously cares a lot about his customers and from the very beginning he was making sensible recommendations on what we might need to get the best out of the space long-term. There isn't one thing that we retrospectively think "I wish we'd done this" or "we should have done that", literally Shane and team have given us a new space in our house that's better than we ever could have imagined. He's made sure we are beyond happy with it.

It's been a life changing decision for us, leaving us with the house of our dreams and we are so pleased that Extra Space Developments were the ones who made it all a reality!

Extra Space have just completed a loft conversion for us, which we are delighted with. The whole process was managed efficiently and professionally by Shane, Niki and several of their excellent team. All involved were reliable, professional and courteous, as were other independent tradesmen they brought in for the job.
The work has been completed to the highest standard, and they consulted with us frequently to make sure it was exactly as we wanted, nothing was too much trouble.

We had a dormer loft conversion done by Extra Space at the end of 2023. We were impressed from start to finish with the professionalism of the team, with good communication throughout. When it came to carrying out the work the team were a pleasure to have around, clean, tidy and very polite. They were also very efficient and worked amazingly fast to finish the project on schedule. We would not hesitate to recommend to others.

We recently had our loft converted with the team from Extra Space Developments. Surprised how quickly the build was done and Shane always kept us updated with progress/happy to go the extra mile with any queries.

We would certainly recommend the team, very professional throughout and even hoovered up each day afterwards! The neighbours even commented on their professionalism and efficiency when what felt like the full team rocked up to get the large steels in and the two dormers built, both in a day!
