Extra Space did a large dormer for us on a new build property. We had seen their instragram account where they'd done our house type before. Shane came over and talked us through the process, asked us some questions, and put together a comprehensive quote, which was very reasonable considering the current state of materials prices and inflation. Extra Space sorted the building control and plans, under one quote which made things much easier for us.

Martin, Max, and the team came over and started work. The first few weeks was done from the outside so no mess! I was impressed with how they got the RSJs on the roof through small holes, meaning no risk of rain damage whole things progressed.

Once they did need to come inside, they were surprisingly clean, vacuuming every day and making sure the house and driveway was left in a good state. It was a lot less mess than we expected and any nail pops in our existing ceiling were made right.

Planning of the layout was quite flexible, Shane advising we see the space first before saying where we wanted windows, walls, fixtures and fittings. It was nice being able to go up with the guys and tweak some items.

We had a couple of minor issues during the process, which were handled professionally. One of the velux windows didn't look quite right to me. I phoned Shane and he was over the same day to look and sort it out. We also had a bit of a leak which was promptly sorted with no resulting damage. I can be a bit picky but I never felt like I was hassling the guys. They listened and sorted it out.

The guys were all really nice. We initially were going to move out as we both work from home, but we actually stayed through the whole process as it never really felt like we had strangers in the house. Martin and Max were two stand-outs as genuine, nice guys, who you can have a bit of a laugh but who you know will get stuff done.

I could write a lot more about this company but need to save some time back to decorate the thing!

We wanted an internal door knocked through from the kitchen to the garage and also a cut out for a new window fitted in an ensuite. Even though these were smaller jobs for Extra Space they were more than happy to help. Shane instilled confidence and the communication was excellent. The team were hardworking, polite, tidy and did a great job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Extra Space.

I cannot praise Shane and his team highly enough for the work they have done in creating my loft conversion. Everything was fully explained from the time they provided my initial quote right through to when the work was finally completed. The standard of work was excellent throughout and the team were helpful in agreeing a way forward as decisions were required during the build. They always left the place clean and tidy at the end of the working day.

Have transformed our conservatory to a bright, cosy welcoming space. Five stars, would definitely recommend for our next project. Thank you Shane and the team.

Shane, nic, Ollie, Paul, and the rest of the team (sorry don’t know all of you’re names!) were professional & knowledgeable from the start, they listen to what you’d like and need and give good advice as to what they think works. They tidied up everyday and got the job done in good time, evything matches with the rest of the house as in doors, skirting etc and the stairs look they were always meant to be there, we would highly recommend extra space developments 👍

Can't recommend the team highly enough, we had quite a sizeable loft conversion of 3 bedrooms completed and the team were excellent throughout. Sound advise on the use of space, dealing with quite a few unexpected problems throughout and overcoming them. The team were really friendly, kept the place tidy each day. I'll certainly use them again for our garage conversion.

Xtra space developments

The Pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for the trade with resources unavailable. Despite this, Extra Space managed to pull the rabbit out of the hat with our attic conversion. Very reasonable price, competent professionals and excellent end results. Their service was unfailingly helpful and accommodating. We are very pleased with our Extra Space in the attic and would highly recommend this company.

A super group of dedicated tradesmen
Shane,Nick and all the team were as professional, courteous, tidy and efficient bunch of gentlemen as you could wish for. I wasn't sure if it would be worth adding a loft conversion to my son's small two up two down but they went through things in detail with me, gave a fair quote which they stuck to and was exactly the same as the end price. The end result was fabulous and I would definitely use this firm again.

I’ve recently had some lighting and plastering carried out and bifold doors installed and has been very pleased with the result.

Shane, Nik and the team did an excellent job of re-configuring the space in our converted bungalow - including installing a new staircase in a different location and pulling down/putting up a lot of walls. There were a few unexpected obstacles, such as the discovery that the original loft conversion (by a different company) used a bit of a bodged method for supporting the dormers, and issues with our old electrics. Nik and Shane found solutions throughout and Shane's communication was very good. The work was completed to a very high standard, and they left the house very tidy at the end of each day! I would highly recommend if you are looking for quality and a builder you can trust.

Extra Space converted our loft into a bedroom, ensuite and a small office area. What a fantastic job they have done ! - the whole team ( inc electrician & Plasterer) are very professional, friendly and they tidy up after themselves ! I would highly recommend these guys
