The furniture is overpriced and as far as I am concerned has been totally mid-sold. Will never use this company again and would definitely not recommend them. You would be better off buying from an internet company b

Bought 2 chesterfield sofas and pouffe which was delivered in October 24. Took out the insurance and also paid to have the sofas stain protected. There is only myself and my husband so furniture is well cared for. Paid £3250 for the suite which we were told was half price. We were also told it had a lifetime guarantee. Although the delivery was delayed we understood as the furniture was supposedly coming from Italy. The protective feet came away from the sofa and when we contacted the Canterbury store they sent an email straight away to their head office. I didn’t hear from them for 2 weeks so called the store again. They wanted pictures of the furniture in situ and a close up and distant photo of the bottom of the sofas which is not easy as they are extremely heavy. My husband spoke to head office and their response is send us £72 and we will send someone out and if they think it is down to the manufacturers they will repair the feet and refund the money.

Awful quality for an expensive leather sofa.

I brought a beige leather sofa and arm chair from Fabb furniture. After 15months where my husband rests his head the leather has turned black. I phone Fabb furniture and they wanted to charge me £72 for a call out charge to tell me if the fault was a manufacturing fault or due to oils from the hair. 😠 Firstly I'm not paying anything for them to confirm what ever or those fault it is, not after only 15 mnths of owning it, plus I've had leather sofas before and never had this problem. I think the customer service is shockingly awful and extremely unhelpful. Now I will never be able to sell it due to this fault and I've had to purchase a cover. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. If finance's allowed this sofa be going straight in the bin.

No after sale

No after sale. Once you pay for order they dont bother if furniture os delivered or not. Neither there responsibility if it will fit or not to your house. They will not explain if it will come as you seen in showroom or in pieces. So if you ordering its your responsibility to assume that. However they will charge you for delivery and assembling of furniture. God knows what is assembly means for them. I used credit card so initiated charged back from this coward. Manager cares only sales. Dont buy from this company.

Faulty sofa leading to substantial damage to my carpet

We had purchased a sofa over 18 months ago. We only found out after, the sofa was faulty and there was a technical fault, which in turn caused substantial damage to the floor.

We contact Fabb Furniture to get it resolved, reluctantly paid £72 for a call out charge due to being out of warranty period. We agreed a date and time to fix sofa and the carpet.

The sofa repair company sent a someone out, to find on the door he had only come to fix the sofa and not the carpet. I was told by the technician, to hold back repairing and get both sorted out in one go.

The technician opinion, the damage was most certainly come as is, and Fabb should be replacing and fixing the carpet.

Now we had taken time off work, to be at home. My day rate is substantive , so taking days off work costs me a lot of money.

So we decided to take the technicians advice and figure out another time to fix both. Now to my surprise, Fabb had said they cannot book someone to come out on a weekend and meaning another day off work. Essentially 2 days of work, +£72 which would mean the sofa cost less than my time of work to fix the sofa. And his does not include fixing of the carpet and floorboards ( 2 inch gauge ).

Fabb in instead offered what they regard as a generous offer of £80, to fix carpet and sofa myself?! So total of £8 after mr £72 call out charge.

I WOULD FULLY AVOID THIS COMPANY, THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER CARE AND SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS, ARROGANT AND VERY PASSIVE.

Don't waste your money with this company!

Purchased a leather corner group from Fabb, what a complete waste of waiting over 12 weeks, sofa arrived and straight away I was alerted to a number of faults with the sofa, we were also told when we purchased the sofa it was made in Australia, the label on the underside stated 'made in Vietnam!' Reported all the faults within 7 days, Fabb appointed an 'independent' technician who visited my property who agreed with me the sofa was of poor quality and bad workmanship, when I saw his written report that all of the raised issues were 'within tolerance' I was flabbergasted!! I was not leaving it there, I had paid a £1000 on my credit card and raised a section 75 claim against them and this was paid back to me within 7 days, the balance of the sofa was interest free finance with Novuna and again a section 75 claim was raised against them, Novuna sent out another independent inspector to look at the sofa (at no cost to me) this time the man who inspected the sofa totally agreed it was poor quality, poor workmanship, his report contained photographs and a full TRUE explanation of the faults, Novuna awarded the section 75 in my favour and the ghastly sofa has now been collected,

I would say firstly don't buy from this company or if you have already ordered and are waiting for delivery and not happy report with in 7 days, if you have finance get your finance company involved BUT do not give up and take the first option they give you, stand up for your rights as a consumer.

What a waste!

Brought a expensive wardrobe and chest of drawers here. The wardrobe we went to moved from one side of the room to the other (originally professionally built by their people in the room) and the whole thing collapsed in on itself within a few inches (not even had it a year) warranty and insurance wouldn't help. Chest of drawers only had underwear in and all drawers collapsed in the centre bottom of each drawer within a few months, again no help from insurance or warranty, went to take draw out to see if it could be fixed and again the whole unit broke. Utterly disappointed and out of pocket. Cheaply built and rubbish quality. Would never buy from here again and definitely wouldn't recommend using their insurance company, absolute waste of time, even paid extra for accidental damage.

Disappointing experience

Purchased a new power recliner sofa from the branch in Hanley. It took ages to arrive. When it was finally delivered the whole mechanism was pretty clunky and one of the head rests didn't extend evenly. We contacted their customer services who sent someone out to inspect. When he left, the other head rest didn't extend evenly either. They offered us £70 compensation or to replace it. Obviously, we took the replacement. Which also took ages to arrive. The new one is now in place, but the head rests still don't extend evenly! We've been at this for nearly a year and it's is not what you expect when you've shelled out £1700 on the centre piece of your lounge.

Their delivery isn't great either. They send you a text and expect you to be available for them to deliver at very short notice e.g. a couple of days in advance and you've got to text them back almost immediately to accept the slot or you lose it. So you need to book a day off from work and get it approved immediately or be able to work from home to take delivery. You can't arrange a slot in advance if you call them up and ask.

Just don’t!!!!

Just don’t!!!!
Delivery men said they’re told to refuse delivery if sofas don’t fit through door. My husband is an engineer and pointed out backs and sides are to be dismantled. Delivery men said they know that but still told to say undeliverable! In the end my husband did it himself while they sat and watched.
Quality of leather is not great. Looks good when new but very soon dark black patches on tan leather. Nothing explained to us pre purchase!
Whatever they fill cushions with is strange. Feels like sitting on a straw bale after a while with deep dips where you sit after 1 year. We are average weight so this shouldn’t happen.
Cannot be bothered to fight after seeing these reviews.
You live and learn. Back to John Lewis for us!!
You have been warned!

Breaks and no after sales service

I purchased an expensive electric armchair for my disabled bum from AHF/FABB Furniture for just over £1k, and especially got a 10-Year Peace of Mind Warranty covering recliner mechanisms and motors, given the expensive purchase. I chose this chair specifically because of that guarantee, thinking it would give me confidence and protection if anything went wrong.

Less than 7 years later, the electrics completely failed. I raised a claim and was forced to pay £72 for a technician to attend. He confirmed the electrics weren’t working but didn’t test or diagnose the fault. Instead, he speculated that the chair was too close to the wall (3 inches) — yet never asked me to move it or tried moving it himself. After I moved it further away, the chair still didn’t work.

Despite this, FABB Furniture dismissed my claim, saying it wasn’t a manufacturing fault. No repair, no replacement, no support — just a closed case and a broken chair, even though their guarantee explicitly covers motors and electrics.

Reading other reviews, it seems I’m not alone. Many people report the same poor after-sales service and refusal to honour guarantees. Sadly, my experience confirms this.

If you’re considering buying from AHF/FABB Furniture, be warned: their 10-Year Guarantee is meaningless. They will find excuses not to honour it, leaving you out of pocket with no support.

The worst cowboy company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with

Firstly, Customer Care - the joke is in the name. I ordered a three piece suite and dining furniture back in January. I had notification 4 weeks later than expected that it had arrived. After me doing all the chasing to Fabb and their delivery partners to arrange delivery, I finally found a helpful person at WS who was chasing to get my order released. Fabb delayed it as all of their orders come from Australia. Something they failed to explain when I placed my order. After two weeks of admin tennis between the 2, our order was finally released and booked to be sent. Unfortunately upon arrival, the drivers gave us every excuse under the sun as to why they couldn't get our furniture In the house. Everything from too windy, bags are slippery out of the boxes and best of all that Nick Scali furniture isn't made to be suitable for UK homes and fitting in them. And the top of a table and a unit was missing. So I had to fight to get another delivery a further 2 weeks later. Thankfully the next team were much more helpful and got the furniture in. One of the chairs however was damaged badly so we had to reject it. It was actually pointed out to us by the driver. We were told the wait for a replacement chair was 12 weeks - not acceptable. But I got a call a week later saying there was nothing wrong with it so they could resend. I wasn't accepting damaged or refurbished goods, which I suspect they are. They tried telling me they'd reassigned a new chair from someone else's order. So some other poor person would have a delay because of their failings. Not sure if I believe it or if they truly are that Incompetent. They have been chasing me to redeliver the "new" chair and I have repeatedly refused. I advised I wanted a refund for the final chair as they breached the contract by not providing the chair we ordered. I don't have to accept a replacement and they are refusing any refund, cancellation or goodwill. I've never dealt with such a badly run company. They are also rebranding as Nick Scali but don't be fooled by the change, they are terrible and remain so. I'm not usually one to complain but was left with no choice after all the stress and having 6 weeks without any furniture. Avoid them (Fabb/Nick Scali) at all costs if you can

We purchased a sofa just over a year…

We purchased a sofa just over a year ago now. Visited the store as had a real bad smell coming from it, smells like garlic such a strong smell it’s putrid. Advised me as over a year old to spray with lemon juice, bicarbonate of soda etc. tried it all and spent a fortune but still smells bad. Revisited store couple weeks ago in Lowestoft to see it’s closed. What can do I do now?. Fed up smelling this everyday really not pleasant.

Bad after sales service

I have given a one star rating due to the delivery and after sales service.
You have to pay to have your furniture delivered and put together. The man who put our two sofas and foot stalls together managed to damage all 16 legs with his drill. He also did not have enough screws to assemble all the furniture properly. We didn't notice the damage until 30 days after the delivery due to Fabb furniture asking for a photo of the underside of our furniture so they could work out which screws were missing so are now refusing to replace the legs!! We will not use this company again.
