I’ve purchased fabric from FG and they’ve been fine - have spent the day making up the first pdf pattern I’ve purchased and it’s been awful. The layered printing doesn’t work, and the multi sizes are almost impossible to distinguish from one another. Despite checking my measurements and size, the dress has come up huge and the pattern is riddled with mistakes - waist and bodice darts that don’t match up, shoulder seams which only match if you take the darts out, ditto the side bodice seam - need to remove the bust dart. Huge, gaping armhole openings. Absolute nightmare for a pretty simple, casual design. Won’t be buying again, and maybe others should wait til they’ve actually made up their patterns before posting a 5 star review based on speed of delivery alone.

Frustrating waste of my time.

Lovely female run business. Really great selection of incredibly good quality fabrics. Have bought from them at sewing festivals (met the founder there too who was lovely) and attended one of their open days in Brighton. Have also tried their sewing patterns and PDF printing services which I highly recommend! The only negative for me is speed of postage. I find using their regular delivery service takes around a week to receive which I feel is quite slow. I understand they’re a small business with limited people but I find it a little frustrating. They offer a speedy dispatch option which costs more, maybe they prioritise these orders at the detriment of regular shipping.

I love shopping at fabric godmother the choice of fabric and accessories is great and the fabrics are quite unique, the pdf printing pattern service is so useful, the customer service is fast and helpful and the speedy shipment really makes it my go to shop!

I bought some sherpa fabric in the ivory shade and it was gorgeous. Arrived within a few days and couldn't wait to get started on it. Thrilled with the outcome of my LB Pullover 😊

I ordered a digital pattern and a printed version on Saturday, the pattern arrived today. I am happy with the turnaround however they only printed the size I needed and I would have liked to have the whole graded pattern printed incase my size changes over time. So I’m a little disappointed with the printing service but I am still very much looking forward to making my new shirt.

Thank you Fabric Godmother! Only downloaded my PDF Thursday, ordered print same day (didn't buy pattern from FG) and it came through the letterbox today - Saturday. Fabulous quick service and good value. Ordered another two prints today!

I have never ordered a pattern like this before, I didn't know it existed until Monday 13th June 2022 when I unzipped a file. I was ready to print out and stick together when I saw A0 when scrolling. I went back and within 5 minutes I had ordered my pattern from Fabric Godmother. The patterns arrived today and what a difference. There was none of the flimsy tissue paper commercial patterns are printed on and I didn't have to spend an hour or more sticking A4 sheets of paper together only to get to the last sheet and realise that I had gone wrong. There are only so many times you can print and stick before you want to throw the printer out through the window! So I am most grateful to Fabric Godmother for the speed in which they printed my patters and had them sent out. The patterns are on good quality paper that won't disintegrate at the mere sight of liquid or tear at the slightest touch. My experience buying from Fabric Godmother has been positive and I will definitely order patterns from them in the future.

Lovely fabric in great condition. I was emailed the same day of my order to confirm my desired fabric length and then the parcel arrived the very next day! Lovely customer service and very speedy delivery :)

Taken my money but not sent my pattern. It’s a pandemic but this seems to disguise poor customer service. Probably they are awaiting stock of the pattern but because they don’t respond to your emails you just don’t know. Good communication would help.

You have a lot of lovely fabrics. And your customerservice is really extraordinary; always friendly, even if things get a bit entangled - you find a good solution. You deserve every star.

Fantastic company.I've bought several lengths of their wonderfully soft cotton jersey velvet . One length was inadvertantly cut under the ammount ordered and immediately they responded with a replacement piece. Very easy, courteous people to deal with and prompt to react. Clothes for my expected grand child will be stitched asap..!!

is the company still active, ordered fabric and have had no update on delivery. nearly 10 days since ordered. going to try for a refund, wish me luck.

I ordered fabric on the 27th April that was supposedly dispatched on the 30th April. I still have not received it and the customer service person has been less than helpful. I asked for a tracking number and she gave me the number for a previous order. Anyone who had a modicum of common sense would have realised that is logistically impossible for goods to be dispatched on the 30/04/19 and be delivered on the 27/03/19!!!! I pointed this error out and asked for the correct 1, but have yet to receive it. So after paying for a service (post, packaging & delivery) I am not getting I have just gone to our local Royal mail delivery office to see if they are able to do what fabric godmother's customer service are unable or unwilling to do. Luckily our local office is staffed by lovely guys who have been there for years and he has just spent half an hour turning place inside out trying to find this parcel unfortunately to no avail. So still don't have my fabric and to say that I am currently very annoyed and frustrated is an understatement. I dont recommend fabric godmother because whilst their fabric is lovely their customer service is dreadful.
