Don’t use them for a background check

This company is not honest my completion date was 01/23/2026 called them on 01/26/26 was told it will be completed by the end of the day and my background is still pending..customer service just will lie to get you off the phone chat message rep said that it would be expidted that a lie as well they have a lot of bad reviews publicity and I can’t start my new job because they completely don’t care

Non-existent Customer Service

I had 2 different representatives leave the chat when I asked a question. They would start to look at my problem, and then would randomly just leave the chat without responding or providing any support. I have not been able to get anyone to help me. This is a continued theme with FirstAdvantage.

Egregious falsehoods with no way to remedy

This company provided vague and outright FALSE information about me which cost me an opportunity. They do not provide any information on how to contact them to correct their violations of rights other than to refer to their website which does not provide any further help beyond that.

The worst company, avoid at all cost

I have had a poor experience with this company. My background check has stayed in progress since December 5, 2025, with no clear timeline for completion. The process moves slowly, and communication adds to the frustration. I contacted support several times to ask for a status update and to see if I could provide anything to move things forward. I received no helpful answers and no guidance. If you value timely service and clear communication, you should think carefully before choosing this company.

First Advantage Useless

I felt deceived; it was pretty much invasive and useless. I waited months to work for a company I always dreamed of, and these people from First Advantage kept asking meaningless questions, and I know for sure I won't get hired because of them. I felt as if they stole my personal information, and I have never done anything wrong. Thanks for ruining my chance of getting a good job.

I registered with the only DBS provider…

I registered with the only DBS provider accepted by Transport for London (TfL), but the registration process is extremely confusing and poorly designed.

There are different Organisation IDs and Access Codes for new applicants and renewals, yet this is not clearly explained. As a result, I mistakenly registered using the renewal details, even though I am a new applicant.

Once this error was made, there was no way to edit or correct the Organisation ID or Access Code. I even tried registering again with a new email address, but the system still did not allow me to fix the mistake.

To make matters worse, this happened over the weekend, the system does not work properly, and there is no phone support or clear guidance available. This has already caused unnecessary delays and wasted time.

For a mandatory and exclusive service, this level of usability and support is unacceptable. I am requesting a reset or clear instructions to allow me to register correctly as a new applicant.

Years ago and I was fired . This company dosnt comply what so ever . They show a hole record even tho the company states 18 months of 60 months instead they show them the whole record .

They should be shut down

They should be shut down, absolute invasive privacy. This is dangerous to individuals. This should not be allowed. They should not be snooping around, gathering inaccurate information, that misrepresents the person.

Call , on october tenth I went in for a drug and background y'all neglected to send it to my employer now it's been 3 months, I happen to go down and take another one, take a day off work, I think you're all totally responsible. I have hired an attorney. You won't answer your phone, you put me on this automated s*** and it's not there, so my attorney will be in touch.
