Fairweathers was known for their lovely fresh scones. However today the scones were hard and uncooked in the middle. They were like scones that had been frozen, and they didn’t taste fresh.

We have particular expertise in Lavender, Heuchera and Agapanthus which along with many of our plants have been grown here in Beaulieu, which are possible to buy from our mail order plant shop. Steff's Kitchen is our onsite cafe and we are pleased to be open with inside and outside seating. Join us for a tasty freshly cooked breakfast or pop in for a delicious homecooked lunch, using fresh produce from local supplies and our own garden, Patrick's Patch, which is open for you to wander around. If it's just a little snack and coffee you are after pop over to Steff's to go, where we have a lighter takeaway menu and 2 outside seating areas.

Not impressed with the car park signs…
Not impressed with the car park signs saying your car will be “impounded” if you don’t stay in the garden centre. Not sure I felt welcome and they’re totally unnecessary as well as being inaccurate and misleading. Not a great way to treat customers, if you have an issue with people parking and going elsewhere be polite and not threaten an action that won’t happen.

Thank you for your review, our sign does not say it will be 'impounded'. We ask that you don't leave your car if you are leaving our site, you may have a £40 fine. Which is given to a local charity.
We have issues where people park, do the Beaulieu to Buckler's Hard walk and back but don't get back for when we close and cars may be locked in.
Sorry that you feel this way.
Great plants, good price
This was my first order from Fairweather's and I hope it won't be my last. Excellent service and healthy thriving plants. Ten out of ten!

A very happy visit.
We made a visit to the Fairweather garden centre this afternoon ( 30 April 2020 ) and the service we received was nothing short of excellent, we required some assistance with some rather bulky items and service we received made our visit such a relaxing experience.
Also like to thank the gentleman who helped putting the heavy items in the car

Sent out in the cold…
Very disappointed went to sfeffs with 2 friends for coffee and a scone but were told we had to sit outside on cold November afternoon as they only serve lunches between 12 and 2.it was 1.30 and there were 4 others free tables but we were told sit outside or lunch .we are all regular customers but will have to think before we return.

Aly, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and I am really sorry that you were not happy with your recent visit. We, like most other food establishments, are struggling with recruitment and have therefore had to close an inside section of our café, in order to be able to serve customers well. We do have separate breakfast and lunch serving times that we do stick to and the remaining tables you mentioned, would be for customers coming in having a cooked lunch rather than cake. We are really happy for afternoon tea/cakes after our lunch service inside and do hope that you and your friends do come back.

Fantastic company to buy plants online from. I bought 60+ lavender and various other plants and they are healthy and thriving. They answer questions promptly and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The cost of their lavender was 1/3 less than any other online supplier. Will definitely buy from them them in future.

Great local garden centre and high quality cafe
This is a great local garden centre, their stock is very carefully chosen and well looked after, it's all good high quality plants and the staff are very helpful. On top of this you've got Steff's Kitchen which is worth a visit in its own right, with lovely local produce dishes cooked on the premises. Highly recommended!
