I love shopping at family dollar

I love shopping at family dollar. But store where I shop has a new person that is in management. Today when I was in there it was very hard to move around their stuff items laying all over the floors boxes in the way you couldn't get through some of the aisles because it was too much stuff there. Even the floors and all that look dirty just dirty. I think the store in my town really needs some good supervisor.

Overcharged and verbally chewed out by employee on PTO

I’ve shopped the Payette Idaho Family Dollar over 4 years. I get the same items the majority of the time. EVERY TIME the same items ring up higher than listed on the shelf. EVERY TIME the employee gets short with me and always say there are price changes going that they are not made aware. Same story every shopping experience there. Today an employee Bree who said she was on PTO told me off for questioning the overcharged items. She told me I was “splitting hairs” that 10 cents wasn’t going to break me and I was making issues causing more work for the cashier. I told her if Family Dollar overcharges a million customers they are making a huge profit. The cashier said stuff rings up wrong all the time and no one ever complains about it. It’s because they are not catching it!!! Bree proceeds to tell me off and I felt threatened by her. I want you to review the camera from today. This gal told me she’s been running the show at that store for a long time so is her behavior acceptable? Do you permit your employees on the clock or on PTO to tell off customers when they are overcharged and questioning the overcharged items? I told Bree if she was on PTO she didn’t really have a right to be telling me off about questioning the overcharged items. She in formed me she had “freedom of speech and could tell me whatever she wanted.” I was overcharged on 3 items from my purchase today. I was told off because Bree wanted me to eat the overcharges. Who is going to resolve that issue?? There should be recourse for all of that. After standing my ground a handful of change was given to me by the cashier. I was so stressed out by Bree treating me so badly I have no idea if I was still short or not. It was very upsetting to be treated so badly when the price is clearly marked on the shelf and should be honored. The issue with Bree and that store needs addressed. It has been a horrible experience at your store. Please review the camera footage today.

The osage Iowa store employess a racist, transphobic, homophobic woman there who is allowed to bully and harass peopple because she works behind the counter. Avoid this store at all cost if you are LGBTQ or POC.

What a JOKE

I visited the family dollar yesterday in catlettsburg ky and this is my last trip ever! First bad experience was with my daughter she was buying her sons food he likes for the weekend he is 5 and kinda picky but she spent 100 at this store and she swiped her ebt card 6 times over and over again all this time she kept saying can you please do it manually because it does this everytime I’m here !! The cashier acted like she never heard her and very loudly says swipe your agin mam so she did and there were by this time 15 to 20 ppl behind us waiting after the 6 swipe the lady says I guess I’ll have to do it manually ! Rude smart ellic cashier she was !! Next time we go same thing happens only EBT cards and we are by no means to proud to use it but cmon your prices are high enough fix your registers this happens every month to her and it happened to myself last month!! Mine only came to 15.00 and the lady behind me said please let me pay for her milk and things she said this isn’t her fault fix your registers! I was humiliated and embarrassed at this point I wanted to crawl in a hole! Yesterday I took my grandson there and my nephew and daughter we got few things came to 22 in cash all good ! I stick my card in like I had done five minutes ago at the McDonald’s right by there ! It declined my card said the exp date was expired mind you the date is 02/2027! The man said do it again I did same thing declined it so then he proceeded to try everything he could to get it to work to no avail it never did so I go out get another card bam took it but it truly was expired and never gave me a problem !! Thank you to the cashier who was so helpful and to lady behind me who kept whispering and rolling her eyes I hope to be behind you someday so I can clear my throat and sigh when you can’t help that this store robs ppl with high prices and crappy machines! One more complaint there was one of the managers clockimg out to go home and when another employee said are done for the day Josh well Josh says I’m F N off dropped the F bomb right upfront with children standing in line and several customers one gentleman said hey buddy there is little girl standing right there!! This should never ever happened Josh should be wrote up or suspended for his attitude and language choices VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE AND HATEFUL MANAGER!!

I'm a disabled 70 year old man from…

I'm a disabled 70 year old man from belmont county ohio I use to love shopping at Family Dollar and spent a lot of money there each month but I noticed at the store I was going to the employees where unfriendly and the shopping buggies had tall pipes on them so you couldn't take them out the door I no longer shop there that's redicolious to let you use there buggies in the store but not to be able to take the things you buy to your car and I'm disabled what's wrong with this country and this kind of store

They purposely do not display their…

They purposely do not display their prices correctly or fail to display their prices. When you don't check your receipt, you are manipulated into thinking it is a different price. For example, they display a toy for a price of $4.25, and it is for something else.

some good/bad

I love this store! Friendly customer service at times. I went in for a few snacks & organizing totes but i overheard them speaking about personal problems, other co-workers pay, complaining to each other about the family co-workers (the boss & an assistant manager) which in most work places it's considered conflict of interest. That was just in the 15 mins I quickly walked through there. I did see these little planters for my garden. You may see a few workers actually working, while others stand in the front. You may not always get greeted at the door, depending around what time you go. It is clean, just make sure you don't go in a day they receive their truck..it looks hectic! Other than the employees, I continue to find great items & great deals!

one of your employees physically put their hands on me more than once, after refusing my transaction with Apple Pay and refused to grant me the manager multiple times.

3401 Grand River Ave, Detroit Mi 48208

I shop at this family dollar very often.

My bill was over $100 and your establishment refused my transaction.

They repeated over and over they do not have Apple Pay.

They were very rude, nasty, disgusting, terrible, careless, unfriendly, aggressive and disrespectful

I felt very unsafe
And disregarded as a normal paying customer.

As Customer Service Representative you

service to customers. Key priorities

include greeting customers, assisting them

with selection of merchandise, completing

On January 29th I went into the family…

On January 29th I went into the family Dollar on geer highway in Marietta South Carolina well I was trying to add money to my cash app something I've never done before plus I had bought a few hours trying to get a few items while I'm standing in line I count my money well when I get to the cashier I asked cashier if she knows how to add money to cash out and she declined that she didn't know how so my phone dies and so I go over near the front door trying to get my phone come on so I can try to figure out how to add this money because I needed to order me some car parts so the managers on her coming out I asked her if she knew how to add money to the cash app she said no so I'm trying I'm staying at the door trying to figure out how to add money to the cash app cuz I got my phone on charge you know in the door me and my old man had walked up there he was outside he was getting aggravated I was getting aggravated because I couldn't figure it out and finally I just bump it and I leave the store well 30 minutes after I get home I noticed I had left my wallet laying on the counter at the store so I asked my old man goes up there to get it they put my wallet in the safe already well he gets back tomorrow with my wallet and I noticed there's $100 missing out of my wallet so I call the store the manager she's already gone now this is 2:30 in the afternoon taking mine well now it's about 3:15 in the afternoon it's about 3:15 she's gone I told the boy what had happened he didn't help me none I've never got to return phone call back from the store so you know I'm just saying if I was you or or anybody I wouldn't go to family Dollar. Ain't nothing but a bunch of scam artists and worthless they're worthless I wouldn't spend another penny in that store if it was the last store on Earth

This store is on Wabash in Lakeland

This store is on Wabash in Lakeland. Omg I don't shop here and now I know why looked like a hurricane went through here, I have never seen a store this sloppy, actually had to kick things aside to get down isles. We left there empty handed and will not return.

It was FREEZING

It was FREEZING! It felt like they had the air conditioner on for crying out loud. In the summer its so hot. Do they not know what a thermostat is or how to use one? The poor employees, which honestly is really the only redeeming quality to this store in Monroe City Missouri. The bread is an arm and leg. Now I remember why I keep going to an understocked Dollar General.

No electrical items can be refunded

I went here 2 days ago to get my money back for a cigarette lighter car plugin. I only had it for a week when one of the ubs jack plugins failed to work. I had the receipt, but the counter person said Family Dollar does not give back money to customers who have bought electrical items.

The manager put some candy by the Christmas clearance stuff but at the register the cashier rudely told me it was not on clearance and that the manager put the candy by the Christmas clearance. And there was a note by the register that said NO $50 or $100 bills. Well that happens if that's all I had was big bills. I will NOT come back to your stores, I will be putting this in my Facebook
