Save yourself a headache

Save yourself a headache and do not book with Fareporto. I booked a flight only to find out it doe not include a carryon. Next, the worst part my flight ticket isn’t guaranteed. If it was a full flight then I would loose out on my money and have to buy another ticket. Not even offer a credit! The agent then said for an additional $100 it would guarantee a plane ticket with a carry on luggage. By then the price of would be more expensive then buying the ticket through Southwest. Terrible customer service! Not sure how they are allowed to stay in service.

Promotion Ticket issue

The fact that when you purchase a promotion ticket that you are not confirmed. And it is not annotated anywhere in the information on the web page before you purchase the ticket that you are basically on standby if you choose not to upgrade to the standard ticket. In the end Roy was very helpful on the final confirmation on the standard ticket I basically had to purchase in the end due to the restrictions on no refund.

Fareporto is a scam

Fareporto is a scam. One operator said my booked tickets were no longer available unless I pay $500. She said that I could not cancel them when I asked. She said she could find me an alternate roundtrip flight and the fee to change was $200. She booked undesirable flights with a stop in Newark, NJ which I found out was having blackouts and delays. I called and got a different operator and he booked me on the original flight I had which was $238 and said it would cost me $900! He started to negotiate with me and brought it down to $400. I refused and said I wanted to cancel, he then said it would cost $75. I said I have already been charged $200 so he went down to $50. I'm guessing the operators get commision. So I ended up paying $250 and did not have any airline roundtrip tickets!!!!!

This website is a SCAM

This website is a SCAM! I booked a flight as price stated and after booking, agent Steve with ID #2049 telling me the flight does not allow luggage, no personal items, not even a purse! I will have to upgrade my ticket to $4600 for international flight that does not include even a carry on or a purse. This is a scam and illegal. I even stated I would pay the airline fee for carry on and I was told I will have to pay full price or otherwise will not a get a refund. This website needs to be shut down and I will report to the BBB. I was also told by the agent that $1800 will not be refunded. Any good review here is probably one of the people who works for this website. I would like to hear a class action lawsuit against this site and will join for sure.

This website is an India-based scam

This website is an India-based scam. Most of the support team is India-based. I was sold a ticket that was not even confirmed with the airline, and did not include any sort of baggage. When I requested a cancellation, they accused me of not reading the fine print, despite the ticket listing itself not listing the restrictions that were told to be verbally over the phone. They even mocked me over the phone saying "what are you going to do about it? We charged your card the moment you made the booking."

SCAM, Bait-and-Switch, Theft of Money

I had to give 1-star, but would give it less if I could. I needed to fly my daughters from Shreveport, Louisiana to Houston, Texas and the plans were last minute. I went online to find better pricing options through cheapflights.com since they list different online travel offers. FarePorto was advertising flights to Houston for the date and time I needed for $376.63 for both one-way tickets. I submitted my daughters' information as well as payment information and received an email shortly after submitting. The email confirmed the reservation, had the flight number, date and time I chose along with my daughters' info, but also included incorrect information about the flight and didn't provide details about ticket issue. I called their 888 number, which was difficult to get through, and was told a travel representative from FarePorto would call me and verify all the information within 24-hours. That evening, I received a call from the representative who proceeded to tell me that the airline determined there were no seats on the flight I chose and my daughters would be provided other flight days and times up to 7-days out from the flight I selected. I told them this was crazy because I chose that flight day and time for a reason and it was not acceptable to pay for an unknown flight day/time. That is essentially a "stand-by" ticket of which I did not agree to. They tried to reroute me to fly out of a city an hour away from me at additional costs, I said, no, my daughters could not drive themselves an hour away. The rep then said if I didn't take this offer, guaranteed seats would cost me $1200. I said I was confused because everything I have (email confirmation) said the seats were confirmed at the price they offered and the website doesn't say anything about the tickets not being guaranteed. I read everything carefully and would not have purchased if the seats were not guaranteed. I only noted the mention of cancellations or changes were non-refundable, specifically because normally this may be an issue, but my daughters absolutely had to be in Houston on that day and time--no exceptions, so cancelling or changing the reservation was not an issue and worth the risk. I verified with the agent that my girls were actually not on the flight. They responded in the affirmative and continued to pressure me to purchase another set of tickets for an additional cost leaving out of Texas. I declined and told them not to confirm the tickets, that what they advertised was not on par with the conversation and it felt like a scam. Essentially, they sold me stand-by tickets but were not upfront about this on their website. I would not give-in, so he transferred me to a supervisor. After explaining the above situation to the supervisor, he then again confirmed that seats were not available on the flight I selected. I asked why, then were they still advertising that flight on their website without the disclaimer that seats were not available, that is against the law and considered a scam. He said I was confused, the tickets I booked were discounted and not guaranteed, but I could get guaranteed seats by paying on or around $270 more per traveler--so the price advertised by the airline itself. I declined again explaining that over $700 for two one-way tickets to Houston was questionable, especially since it seems Fareporto pockets the initial paid amount, and that I did not consent to them charging my debit card. Again, this is a scam. He said the airlines were charging my card and if cancelled, I would have to pay the cost of the current tickets, plus the cancellation charge which would amount to the cost of the tickets, so in total, over $700 to cancel. I reiterated that this is a bait-and-switch situation along with extortion and I do not consent to any of the charges. He then became rude and said they are only a service and the airline is responsible for charges and repeated multiple times that they already took my money. I asked for the information to the airline billing they gave my information to and he wouldn't provide it to me. He switched up again and said Fareporto are the ones who trigger the airlines to book flights to which I said then they can absolutely cancel without charging because no tickets are booked. No tickets had ever been issued. He became very angry, told me they were cancelling the booking, taking the original amount from me, and hung up on me. I believe this to be a scam. I contacted the airlines advertised, United Airlines, and no booking had ever been made. They did not have my daugthers' information or my billing information. The positive reviews are most likely the company trying to rate itself. I reported them to BBB, Florida Attorney General, and FTC.

Bait & Switch?

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, I paid $274 for an airline ticket, which was priced better than other advertised tickets. Later that afternoon, I received a call from a person who didn't identify himself as a representative of Fare Porto or state why he was calling. He asked if it was a good time to talk, to which I said no, and he offered to call back. He never did call back.
I received an email stating that the reservation was on hold and that I needed to call their 24/7 customer service. I recognized the phone number in the email as the one for the earlier unknown person. I attempted to reach the customer service number on Sunday, June 1st, but it wouldn't connect.
I never received an email with flight information or an itinerary. On Monday, June 2nd, after many attempts to get to a representative who could resolve the issue, I was told that I would receive call-backs, which never came. Finally, I reached a reservation specialist who informed me that the ticket was under a promotional price and I needed to pay an additional $220 to secure the ticket that I'd selected, or fly into another airport four hours away. At that point, I requested a refund and was put in contact with the floor manager, Adam Maxwell. He said their company would not issue a refund because the ticket was non-refundable.
I hadn't seen this company advertised previously, but they came up in an airline ticket search along with other more popular 3rd party discount ticket providers.

This company wont provide you with a…

This company won't provide you with a real ticket. They send you an E-Ticket and they don't contact the airlines. There's no way for you to manage your trip like you would on a regular website. Also they want to check you in the day before your flight so that they can tell you it was cancelled or you couldn't fit on the flight and you have to keep paying money. uhm ya stop right there. They act very nice to scam you. Or some agents are so rude and will threaten you. Paxton is the biggest scammer of all.
