I have been using fastspring for many years.
The service itself is good, but sometimes it is just not possible to get simple information from the customer service.
I opened a support ticket 18 days ago, I just wanted to change the currency I was paid with. There have been several messages and still no solution.
Since they started using hyperwallet as the payment "middleman" (not sure if that is the right term) things have become worst.
Developer documentation is another area that needs a lot of improvement. I needed to switch from their "classic store" to the "contextual store". I was kind of forced to do this because they had almost stopped working on the classic platform. It was a nightmare, the documentation was poor, inconsistent, sometimes just plain wrong.

Purchase was made to FastSpring for software from Freemake to edit video. Software did not work and Freemake indicated that there is a bug preventing it from working but would update me as soon as it was fixed. Never received a follow up email after that so I went with another product.

They say use different payment option but I’ve tried every single one they accept. Been trying to contact support for 6 months now with only automated responses and never a follow up or resolving of the issue. Worst customer service ever. I have purchased numerous items from Fastspring over the years, but recently have been unable to complete any transaction, not due to payment issues rather something is blocking (possibly the FMS system) transactions from going through for me. In fact, recently I tried to obtain a "free" item, one which does not allow for any payment entry and it was denied. If I create an alias email and otherwise use the same payment data for transactions it goes through, thus the likelihood they somehow flagged my email.
Repeated attempts to communicate this has failed miserably with fastspring CS team. When trying to point out the issue regarding the "free" purchase, I get the canned CS response over and over that I need to change my payment method. THERE IS NO PAYMENT METHOD and this can easily be seen by the link I provided in the ticket. I have spent hours trying to get them to discuss or communicate a resolution and fastspring flat out refuses.

My experience with FastSpring has been nothing but disappointing. The sales team responds extremely slowly — every reply takes at least a week. This is completely unacceptable, especially when quick answers are needed. The support is even worse, as they simply do not respond at all.
I genuinely tried to get in touch with them. Since December 7, 2024, I have sent over 10 emails, but to this day, I have received no response.
To make matters worse, they list sales[at]fastspring.com as a contact option, but this email address doesn’t even exist. This feels misleading and only adds to the confusion.
If you’re looking for a reliable partner with fast and accessible support, stay far away from FastSpring.
Edit 20/12/2024:
FastSpring directly contacted me via TrustPilot to request additional information. However, nothing has been done with it, and to this day, I still have not received a response from the team. So, once again, a confirmation of my experience: Reviews for this company are more important than potential actual customers.

A system that doesn't work at all. Making payments is a problem, communicating is an even bigger problem. It has no place among online payment solutions and will never have one if it continues like this.
I received a quick solution to my problem.
I cancelled my subscription to Carb Manager in 2021. Much to my surprise, I was charged for an annual renewal to Carb Manager by FastSpring via my PayPal account yesterday. Even MORE to my surprise, I had been charged in 2023 also but missed it by not paying careful attention to my PayPal activity. Yet even MORE to my surprise, FastSpring had sent my renewal notification to my husband's email address. How they got it, I do not know. I had blocked Carb Manager from my account. I will never again do any business with ANY service using FastSpring.

Not reliable payment source! Like others, attempted to pay on 2 different cards and denied. Both of my card holders confirmed all ok my cards. One card suggested getting reviews on Fastspring.. and did it. Avg 3.1 customer satisfaction thru Oct 2024. 49% rated 1 star. One card indicated fastspring even received recharge approval of traditional $1.00 & still denied my purchase. Will be leaving my picture company since they only use Fastspring. Suggest slaying clear of Fastspring card services. They are very confused and offer poor service.

I have been using server services for 2 years and making payments through Fastspring for 2 years. However, for the past week, my payments have been declined, despite trying different cards and every possible method. I contacted them via email, and they apologized, saying they were unable to process the payment. If I cannot make this payment, I won't be able to connect to the server, which will result in a significant loss for my work. Worse still, I cannot switch to another server because I need to connect from that specific IP address. This situation has left me severely impacted.
