On ordering the email said the item…
On ordering the email said the item should arrive after 4pm. Although we hadn’t received the email to say it’s been received but called at 5pm and the driver hadn’t turned up so a bit disappointing and the member of staff couldn’t advise if the delivery was coming the next day

Dont buy the Red One
The service was good but the product is appalling - i have the natural colour waistcoat and was pleased so when i saw the red one in the sale snapped it up - it sheds red fluff everywhere - tried washing to help - it has absolutely covered inside of pillowcase - shoddy

Where to start….?
Last Christmas my wife bought me a long sleeved shirt from Fat Face in High Ousegate, York. Despite the label stating it was an ‘M’ Regular, it was absolutely huge when I tried it on. I felt like one of these inflatable advertising figures you see in front of garden centres.
We returned it to the store in January but had to exchange it for a different style altogether as the ‘S’ size was a poor fit as well. When I went to wear the replacement shirt a few days later, I saw what I thought was a loose thread along the front of the left shoulder panel but on closer examination found that the stitching had completely unravelled in several places. Rather than traipsing back to the shop, my wife said she would sew the faulty stitching herself.
On another occasion, I decided to buy a waxed jacket. With having a number of jackets, I have only worn the Fat Face one about half a dozen times. When I last put it on, I struggled to run the zip pin into the “box” and looked to see what was fouling it. Part of the fabric tape to which the teeth are attached was frayed at the lower end and repeatedly hindered the slider from travelling past it. Unfortunately the sixth wearing occurred after about 4 months so it would by that time have been difficult to prove it hadn’t been worn much at all.
I was also bought a Mu Multi (!?) jumper in mottled brown and green. After being worn and washed about eight times, it invariably forms “pills” all over the weave and now is now something I would only wear for lounging about the house.
What is wrong with this merchandise ? That’s 3 different items I’ve had and discovered that they all have manufacturing issues of one sort or another. Shopping at Fat Face is too much like hard work.
P.S. More fool me for not spotting sooner that much of FatFace’s stock is made in China.
Update following LE’s reply : - Having recently examined all my other zip-fronted jackets ( and those of some relatives ) I see that without exception they all have a small folded over panel of a man-made material which is glued onto the zip tape and crimped within the zip pin. This results in a smooth, long-lasting operation when introducing the pin into the slider. The waxed jacket referred to in my post above is fitted with no such thing. Without this, the unprotected zip tape on my jacket didn’t really stand much of a chance, did it ?
( I’ve only just noticed that LE did not actually offer any comments on either the failed stitching on the shirt or the inferior zip tape on the waxed jacket. )
