Yes that is right. We provide phone number to receive SMS and most of our clients come to us to get new phone number to receive SMS code. Sorry if you had unreal expectations. You have to use our number to get SMS code. If you lose your phone number and the number is linked to your facebook or twitter account then you wont get an option to enter a new number. The SMS will be sent to your lost phone number.
What you asked for is impossible or amounts to hacking which we don't do. We cant just give you SMS code to any number in the world or the phone number which you lost. We cant give you sms code sent to a phone number we have no access to. If we did we would be like internet gods capable of hacking any account in the world by accessing SMS on any phone number, its just not possible. I hope you understand.

Google Voice Number
I had purchased a google voice + gmail no from them ,for verification process. The customer support was helpful throughout the process and once payment was verified they assisted with the verification and the process went smooth.
