I’m giving 1 star because I can’t give…

I’m giving 1 star because I can’t give none. I would say avoid this company like the plague. The complete wrong casket was used for my nan’s funeral, flower arrangement was awful and a song was missed from the service despite being written on the order of service. Cannot express the heartache they caused our family. The final journey for a lady that was loved so much, adored and cherished was ruined by incompetence and blame shifting. This will stay with us forever.

Excellent professionalism

I could not fault Fenix funeral, they delivered on every point the organising and on the day of the funeral. Stephen Semple is exceptional his professionalism, support, and friendly manner calmed all my worries of the day turning out as planned. He's a very good organiser and prompts as reminders when things need doing. Thank you again

Excellent service thanks to Therese

Our Fenix representative, Therese Walker, was exceptional. She supported us through the funeral process with empathy and professionalism, going above and beyond to prompt us with everything that needed to be done. She seemed to work 24/7 and no query was left long before we received a response.

As a result of Therese's hard work, the funeral went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing, which is important on an emotional and stressful occasion.

I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received for a funeral held on Friday, 4th April 2025

On the day of the funeral, the team failed to provide the flowers that were agreed upon and fully paid for. Even worse, no one contacted me in advance to let me know there was an issue. If I had been told earlier—even that morning—I could have made alternative arrangements.

The funeral took place in the afternoon, so there was more than enough time for the team to correct this, yet no effort was made. Instead, I was left dealing with this failure in front of grieving family members, which caused deep embarrassment and distress on an already heartbreaking day.

This kind of neglect is completely unacceptable for such an important occasion. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Please accept our most sincere apology that the flowers at the funeral of your late Mother in Law were incomplete. We understand this was greatly disappointing for you, and your family.

We are investigating why the flowers did not arrive from the florist as expected, and why our care centre team did not flag this to your Funeral Arranger, Maria, in a more timely manner.
Once the issue was known, Maria did everything she could to rectify the situation and we are grateful that her hard work resulted in some of the chosen flower arrangements being in place at the service.

Such occurrences are extremely rare for us, thankfully, but we appreciate that we let you down. We will put processes in place at the care centre to ensure any such issue is reported quickly.

Our full refund for your complete flower order is in process, and we hope you will accept a charity donation in memory of your late Mother in Law as a gesture of apology.

My father passed away unexpectedly in January. Steve Semple took care of the arrangements and the service with excellence. In a time where you are grieving, it was a comfort to have someone take care of the service. When I didn’t have a voice to speak, Steve represented my father perfectly. Thank you so much for your kindness.

It started very well but didn't finish satisfactorily. I was waiting for the temporary grave marker about 3 weeks after funeral.

As I hope was explained to you, our engraving machine was not working which led to the delay. Such occurrences are rare, thankfully, but we appreciate you are disappointed- particularly because the level of care and support you received from us up to that point had been positive.

We will, of course, be reviewing this particular situation to understand if there is anything we could have done differently.
Our refund for the gravemaker was a small gesture of apology.

Excellent company with lots of compassion.

I've used Fenix twice in the last few years. On both occasions they have been absolutely fantastic. No request was too big. Most recently, Maria handled our funeral arranging. She constantly kept me in the loop and fed advice as and when needed. On the day of the funeral, Michael, the conductor, was great. He made sure everything was perfect and ran smoothly. Costs were very reasonable when compared to other local companies too. Honestly cannot fault them and I would definitely recommend!

They have been extremely helpful…

They have been extremely helpful throughout the process. They have treated my family and I with respect and compassion and been incredibly helpful throughout. Nothing was too much trouble.
The cremation service ran smoothly and was conducted with great care and dignity.

Thank you "T" and Fenix

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional service provided by Mrs. Therese Walker "T". During a difficult time for my family with the recent loss of my mother, “T” has gone above and beyond in assisting us with the arrangements for my mother’s internment.

From the outset, she has been extremely professional, compassionate, and responsive. She took the time to outline various package options and facilitated payment arrangements in a clear, considerate manner, ensuring that we made informed decisions while maintaining confidentiality. Additionally, she has been instrumental in coordinating with the nursing home and solicitor to obtain the necessary proof of residence for my mom—something that would have been overwhelming for us without her guidance. She was also instrumental in the resolution of the website technical issues. These are only some of the workflow items that I am aware of, and I am sure that there are more.

Her responsiveness and availability have been outstanding. She promptly answers emails, addresses concerns with care, and has provided an invaluable sense of reassurance throughout this process. Her dedication and commitment to excellence truly deserve recognition. She truly embodies the Fenix Funeral Home vision of 2014, i.e. to make funeral arrangements as smooth and as stress-free as possible.

I wanted to take a moment to commend her for her stellar work and let you know how much of a difference she has made for our family. I sincerely hope that her efforts are acknowledged, as she is an incredible asset to your team. From this side of the Atlantic (USA and Jamaica) my father, wife and her children, my mom’s grandchild and many relatives and friends thank you.

I had the pleasure to work alongside Therese on a Funeral I was honoured to conduct. As a Celebrant, I know only to well how important it is to feel that someone is there for you throughout your grief period and Therese was not just there to support myself with the ceremony, she was on hand almost 24/7 for the bereaved family, and always available to assist at every stage of the process.

Therese’s dedication and empathy were evident in everything she did. She took the time to listen, to offer thoughtful advice, and to ensure that the family were always happy and understood.

Working alongside Therese was a privilege, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Fenix Funeral Directors to anyone in need of compassionate and dignified funeral services. Thank you, Therese, for your all your support with this Service.

Excellent Service

Excellent service! Maria Tucker guided me so much throughout, she organised everything so well, she answered so many difficult questions that I had, and she was always in contact. Maria helped me the most during the most difficult day (this was very important to me, thank you Maria). Fenix did an amazing job pairing me with Maria and I highly recommend Fenix for their service.

Faultless

Contacted the company some time before they were needed and was impressed by their sensitivity and openness. When the time came, could not fault the service provided. Each team member treated me with kindness, warmth and sensitivity. Made the process as stress-free as was possible. Did everything they promised on time and with total professionalism.

Listened to needs

Listened to our needs which were translated into the necessary arrangements while talking time to explain what needed to be done. The team at Fenix were friendly and responsive, providing good communication and without any pressurised sales talk. Highly recommended.

From the initial contact Chris Webb…

From the initial contact Chris Webb handled Marion my wife's arrangements with courtesy and professionalism from liaising with the undertaker in turkey getting Marion through customs in Heathrow and dealing with the coroner in london to the cremation and return of the ashes I cannot praise Chris and his team enough.
