A big waste of time
Fetlife, like many other apps/sites now ,is a big waste if time.
Most of the Fetlifers are fake, they make many excuses for not really " playing" in person, and they mainly want online play. The more avid "players" tend to be less than desireable old men who want everything for free. My advice to anyone trying to fulfill a fetish don't use fetlife to do so.

Well have really enjoyed myself on fet usually attend with a lady friend and never have I been discriminated by the younger lady's!

Took a friend with me who was accepted by alot of my social circle at a gathering known as a "munch" not really her cup of tea it seemed and only spent the nigjt looking down her nose while clutching her bible

Disgusting came across this unmanaged site via a vile man who secretly started taking me to a pub were a munch was held in beknown to me , disgusting dirty rotten unkempt people who claim to be or think they are some Christian grey far from it , full of women who have bee. Glared at and used as sp£!k buckets for men ,men putting pictures up they are not allowed to of other women men who like to be called daddy by teen girls the site is a worm hole for peadophiles and filthy old men with no teeth

- currently the de facto monopoly for kinksters. Used to be a great place let's say 4-5 year ago.

- Very ambiguous behavior from management. Claims even in their FAQ NOT to be a dating site (doesn't allow you to search by sex, age, role, distance), yet keywords for search engines are full of 'dating'. Claims to be a community site to appease certain vocal members. Groups full of spam for clubs and events, lots of both fake and commercial profiles, but bans users for linking on their own profile to a profile on a *dating* site? Furthermore, some profile information of banned members is still visible.

- no longer a chat feature. Gone for two or three years now, despite promising to quickly return it.

- now collects and keeps mobile phone numbers (hopefully only a hash or something, but I wouldn't rely on it). So not just for one time verification. Very sensitive information, which is a high security risk as you can easily find out with some creativity if someone's registered.

- full of inactive profiles. Sure, millions of people have registered. There are no numbers on how many of them are still active. I suspect 10-20%. The (mis?)-representation about being a dating site sometimes while denying it other times has a lot to do with it, since they don't cater to the needs of people looking to meet new contacts.

- support is a joke, doesn't even reply

- management is out of touch with its main member base and is extremely bad at communicating

- not intuitive at all for new members.
