I am testing 7 meals before my hospital stay. After we are hoping to rely on ready meals for quite a while.
1. Teriyaki Salmon …minimal salmon rice and quinoa. Disappointing
2. Potato topped Chicken pie… tiny bits of chicken and unidentified lumps of jelly/ gristle. Not good.
5 more to go. Not inspiring so far.
Decided I couldn’t face the remaining 5 meals as the thought of them turned my stomach. I gave them away!!
No one from Field Doctor contacted me!!

After an initial tech blip with my first order, the Field Doctor (FD) team swiftly resolved it and I am glad we did as the first box (beautiful & eco friendly packaging) arrived on time. The food so far has been super easy to reheat from frozen and tastes delicious. We judge a meal on the quality of the chicken and veg. content, thus far we’re happy. We have ordered a second box and the best thing is there’s no pressure to subscribe (unlike a diff firm we stopped using). Give FD a try.

Great food and great service. I've been using field doctor now for at least 2 years, being on a fodmap diet means no convenience food, everything is prepared from scratch which feels healthier but is time consuming. Having these in my freezer means I can grab that healthy lunch while I'm working, a proper meal without the prep ! Or if my husband wants a meal that I can't eat he can have that's treat and I have my own in 10 minutes too!

Delicious food, meals that cater to a specific medical condition which is super helpful! Excellent communication from staff!

I love these meals! Really tasty, perfect size portions, easy to heat through. The delivery system works well, and there is a quick and helpful response to any queries or problems.

We were really excited to get our first order of these and loved the concept of healthy ready meals (plus the fact they were relatively low in salt too.). But the reality on them arriving was a huge disappointment - to the point of feeling pretty ripped off…
The portions were tiny. A standard ‘takeaway’ size container, which holds the whole meal. Generally this would hold either a main or a side. But here it holds half of each. Basically, it’s half of what most people would consider a full sized meal.
Thai Green Curry on the first night was plain and bland. We suspended judgement until we tried more from the order.
The next night was Tagine. Again, painfully small portion. Not particularly flavoursome, but liveable with given healthy ingredients. However, we finished feeling hungry still and ate another night meal afterwards, just to total a normal meal size.
We bought these at a 30% discount as a first order. Even at that price they felt ‘steep’ and not good value. At full price, these would be a complete rip off, in honesty.
Such a shame as we really liked this idea. But it seems to be style over actual (overpriced) substance.

I’ve enjoyed most of the meals I’ve tried and am particularly impressed with the range of responsibly sourced ingredients and absence of ultra-processing. This recent delivery (by DPD) was a vast improvement on the old. The box arrived early in the morning, at the predicted time, and in perfect condition. However I have a small appetite so my choice is limited to the “smaller” range. More variety and more fish please! Then I’ll give it five stars!

I have a lot of food sensitivities, I'm also coeliac and vegan. This has been a life saver. The food is tasty, well-balanced, and most importantly, doesn't cause any issues for me, especially as I'm still figuring out my health.
I do wish there were even more meal options to pick from, but I really can't complain.

It was going to be an experience indeed , with no expectations and in at the deep end , ordered a week's worth of meals , cost I'm happy with ,delivered on time , packaging I can't fault , meals as of yet I can't fault either , will be sure to order more , I would then personally recommend. R

Good amount of choices for me (low fodmap and can't eat chillis). I am normally a picky eater but still really enjoy about half of the meals on offer. I like having the option to order whenever I like, and they arrive within 2 days, instead of the subscription. The meals themselves have a good amount of fibre and variety of vegetables which I really needed. And the calories are decent ranging from 350 to 550 in each meal, and they tell you up front all the nutritional information while you order. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who can't be bothered to cook a balanced meal, my health has really benefited from regular balanced healthy meals from field doctor. I'm on my fourth order now and can't see myself living without these in my freezer ready to go.

They keep substituting meals to things I can’t eat when what I’ve ordered isn’t available! I’d rather just have a refund or a substitution to something else I have already ordered that is in stock. I’ve had this issue more than once and it’s seriously annoying!

I’ve ordered field doctor meals a few times now and I have discovered the ones I enjoy the most. I’m so pleased to have home cooked tasting meals without all the added nasties, sugar, fats and salt you get in processed meals. I was sceptical at first because I thought that the freezing would damaged the quality and texture of the food but it doesn’t at all. I use these meals when I’m too fatigued to cook as I have a medical condition. Field Doctor team listen to your feedback if you had a slight issue with particular meals and make improvements.
I really enjoy the cottage pie especially as there are added vegetables to increase the nutritional value. I also really enjoy the Coq au vin with the potatoes which I crisp up at the oven. I hope they continue to add new recipes so I can try even more of their tasty dishes. The delivery service is excellent too, as you can track it easily.

The meals are all super healthy and tasty - when there was an issue with the delivery it was dealt with straight away and I was refunded - as a person with health issues at the moment I have found the meals help me navigate my life knowing that I am getting optimal nutrition

I ordered 8 meals and have tried 4 meals. The green risotto was the best so far and I'd order that again. I added black pepper and Parmesan. Found all meals to be on the bland side but remedied easily. For those who are sensitive to it (I am) there is some kind of tarragon/fennel/aniseed derivative in the chicken dishes I tried, not listed on ingredients probably due to minute amounts. All in all I’d say nutrition good and convenience great, personally I was less keen on the taste. Customer service is however exceptional and the CCO rang me to discuss my thoughts and experiences with their food, also refunded me some costs. Cannot fault the company. Packaging and delivery all positive and despite the meals being delivered in the evening they were all still frozen, packed impressively and with dry ice. It was great having a range of interesting healthy meals to pluck from my freezer.

So glad to have found Field Doctor, a wide range of very tasty, filling and nutritious low FODMAP meals which are brilliant to have at hand on those days when I'm feeling too depleted to cook. Easy to order and set-up a delivery time to suit and the introductory offer is really good value. All round high quality service. Recommended

I've tried a few of these types of meal orders and this one is the best. I love how it goes straight from freezer to microwave to plate. Quick and easy and healthy too. The meals are so tasty, I only have to add black pepper to most, and super filling. Unlike me not to finish a meal. Also the packaging is great. Not too bulky and eco friendly too. I would definitely recommend this service over others I've tried. I just hope they don't get too big as a company so the quality diminishes, as has happened elsewhere. I also love that you can order as a one off and don't get tied into regular ordering and it's good for one person catering.
Excellent all round.

Field Doctor get allergen labelling right and I have peace of mind - I know I can eat what I order, which hasn't been true with other meal delivery services. Quality is great, I love that there's a high fibre option and the food arrives in perfect condition. The only thing I'd change is I'd like a wider range of options for my specific set of allergies, I have to order the same things every time.
