Beware, this company charges high price and fail to deliver good results. I paid hundreds of dollars to recover files from a broken hard drive but file recoup only recovered 1 folder which took months for them to do. They claimed that the drive was badly damaged but still charged a full price.
I strongly recommend to look elsewhere for business if you value your time and money.

I consult for the client who used this service. 1st FileRecoup said for a large fee they would do it faster. Client paid a lot for that. 2nd they sent several emails and one claims there's a chance of recovering some data and that it looks like severe head crash inside. Then they stopped responding while client kept trying to get them to call back or email. Finally client got hold of them, but they claimed the emails say there's no chance of recovery. Then they added something never on any reports, that they had found the seal broken when they received the drive. Why not tell us that first?? None would have dared to break a seal on what we needed data recovered from so badly. Then they said they cannot return the drive. Much later with insurance involved we asked for the drive again and they sent it right away but the forensic inspection showed that someone had intentionally damaged platter surface as if with a solder iron, and insurance refused because it does not look like an accident. We are stabbed from both sides all because these jerks further destroyed our drive on purpose only to take our money too!

Never have a chance to have the company fix my WD My Passport HD, as they send me a wrong FedEx shipping label, and when they tried to return my HD back to me, they did not put on a new label with my address, instead return the package to the original shipper's address. Now, due to the wrong address my HD was lost, so is my data.
I let you decide whether they are trustworthy in handling your data recovery. If they cannot even get the shipping address correct, do you still want to send them your HD.

Received email and call from FileRecoup Customer Support, I am impressed at the speed in their response after the original review has been posted, as well as the sincerity of their Customer Support manager. If only their front line support is as good when I first call them, there may be a better chance that the company can work with FedEx to locate my HD. Unfortunately, FedEx had confirmed that my HD had been destroyed due to their policy.
My lesson learn is that a strong enough review will get better attention.
The good thing that results from this experience is that FileRecoup promise to review their shipping/receiving process, and this improvement may reduce future lost of shipment.
I update the rating not because the situation had been rectified, but the attempt FileRecoup made to rectify and fix the problem.

I admit now that I had some doubts with this company after I got worried about sending my external hard drive in to people I could not see in person, but at the end of the this experience, I admit that I am thrilled beyond belief. My case manager (Brian P.) was just awesome and the company was able to retrieve nealry 100% of my data. This was just great. I would recommend their services to anyone.

My hard drive refused to boot, I panicked and decided that professionals should take care of my drive.
They charge me $99.00 to pick up my drive and do initial assessment.
They called me to say the drive broken, but a price to fix it was too much for me and I requested the drive to be sent back.
They did and required a signature: I like that as it indicates a concern for privacy.
After I got my drive back I retested it again and it worked with qualification: it can't be used as a boot drive, only as slave- storage.
No data been lost.
I let them know about that and they were gracious enough to refund me my money.

We had a hard drive fail on us that contained photos from two different weddings and one first communion celebration. We went to a different company and, after spending just under a thousand dollars, were told that the data was simply unrecoverable. As a last resort we decided to try to see if another company would be able to do anything. Thats when we came across File Recoup. My case manager Kyle was very polite and courteous. He was completely upfront after the diagnostic was finished by telling us that due to the damage there was about a 50-50 chance of them being able to recover anything from the hard drive. It did take a few days longer than we had been initially quoted. However, Kyle kept us informed throughout the entire process, and In the end they were able to recover all but two photos(we had lost close to 5000 in total).

All in all, my experience with this company was terrific. They were upfront with me throughout the entire process, and did not make any promises they could not deliver on. Also the carrier service is extremely convenient.

This product is great if you’re as clumsy as me deleting files on accident. As a college students, my files are my life and after reading reviews, the company seems pretty legit, reputable and life saving. I very much recommend this product. I know I will be contacting them ASAP.

I had lost a bunch of files for work on my lap top. FileRecoup Data Recovery Services assisted me with restoring all the data I need and providing backup data storage on my laptop. SO thankful!

FileRecoup was incredibly helpful in recovering my broken iPhone! I literally thought i had lost everything on my phone like my contacts and my photos. Recovering my contacts was especially helpful as I need my contact list for work. They have free local pickup for people who do not have the time to drop it off. I was able to go drop it off and just in 3 days it was returned with all my photos and contacts. The rates are very reasonable for the work that these technicians do and would trust them again if I ever run into this situation again.

These people were beyond helpful. At one point while I was online I thought my computer has run its last course, on its last leg, if you will, because it shut off without warning. I didn't know what to do so I begin my research online for data recovery companies to ask questions. I was recommended FileRecoup and thankfully I took heed to the recommendation. They assisted me play by play on how to bring my pc back to life because that without-warning shutdown had me dumbfounded until I didn't know what to do.
