Our advisor, Garry Smith has been excellent. He has spent years in the run up to our eventual move giving us helpful and insightful advice. We wouldn’t have been able to do it without him, and I recommend Garry to anyone who needs an advisor with a laser focus, and hugely in depth knowledge of the industry. He got us a great deal, and he was incredibly generous with the time and advice he gave to us.

I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Prabz from the Finance Advice Centre! He was incredibly helpful and really went above and beyond to assist me with my issue. I contacted Finance Advice Centre to speak about the possibility of moving house and obtaining a mortgage. I was called a short time later by Praj who was outstanding from start to finish. He was able to go through my options, communication was excellent, always keeping me updated and was there if I had any questions. The broker we used took for ever to get back to us on everything… we had to chase constantly for updates. We’re looking for another BTL mortgage, wrote to the same advisor on 14/04/23… still not got back to us.. time to vote with our feet…

As a first-time buyer I had very little knowledge of what the process of buying a home would entail, even looking into taking on a mortgage advisor was daunting.
Finding Mark Wallbank of Finance Advice Centre was exactly what I needed.
Very approachable and friendly, but also very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire process.
My purchase was far from smooth sailing due to the difficult housing & mortgage markets... All of which definitely showed that it was crucial I did find an advisor and such a meticulous one in Mark.
Cutting a long story short, I went through the process of buying two homes and needed three mortgage applications to get my house in the end.
I would tell anyone to take on a mortgage advisor, getting guidance on what is right for you, what is manageable but also assistance on actually applying and sorting out all your credentials etc. Definitely saved me a lot of headaches knowing I had everything in the hands of someone capable.

The admin team (mainly Kayanni Barnes) I had through the Finance Advice Centre were always there for me, always asking if there was anything else I needed. As a first-time buyer, any and all information and advice was vital and I was always grateful that the admin team always kept on top of my case and were only an email away if I had any questions.
Using a mortgage advice service seemed invaluable in the end, not knowing what to expect in the beginning, I now know that I saved myself a whole load of headaches having such a team assisting me on what seemed to be an endless game of emails, replies and paperwork etc.

I’ve just had my Remortgage complete within a matter of weeks in a smooth, efficient, clear and concise manner by Prajai Parekh. Prajai made this the most straight forward experience ever with excellent communication throughout, answering my emails or texts at any time of the day almost immediately. A truly excellent service, he found me a new mortgage which I thought would be utterly impossible after trying other places myself. Thank you Praj!

We don’t have the greatest credit scores however both our mortgage and remortgage processes have been seamless which is all thanks to Garry.

Garry has been a great source of expertise, support and guidance throughout both the mortgage process and the recent remortgage process. Before starting the process, Garry spent time understanding what our individual circumstances and needs were and then aligned a remortgage package accordingly. Garry has always been on hand to answer any questions we have had throughout the process and we have felt that both the mortgage and remortgage processes have been very well organised due to the way Garry works and supports. Prior to starting the remortgage process, Garry advised on the steps that we would need to take to get a remortgage and all the various documentation needed and when. This put us at ease- being well informed about such a daunting experience like applying for a mortgage/remortgage helps to alleviate any stress.

Garry also spoke to us about all the fees involved with mortgaging/ remortgaging, which was so helpful because it can be quite overwhelming trying to understand what fees need to be paid, to whom and when! Having this information allowed us to plan accordingly and we had no last minute (surprise) fees that we hadn’t been told about it already!

Working with Garry is always a pleasure, I would highly recommend Garry to anyone who is thinking about a mortgage/remortgage. You will always know exactly what to expect throughout the whole process which adds to the stress free experience. Garry is always on hand to support and answer any questions whenever needed. My mortgage advisor was extremely helpful throughout the process. With this being my first house I wasn't very knowledgeable of the process but Bal made sure to explain everything in detail. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a mortgage advisor.

I would like to big thanks Garry Smith for his great work with our complicated mortgage case and managed to get us a offer without any trouble. He did care with our application more than us. He was calling and updating us on any small updates at least 2 times a day. We had no hope to get a mortgage because our complicated situation but our estate agent recommended Garry to us and meeting with him was a gift from god. We can’t thank him enough. Gary Smith has been fantastic and understanding from the start, our remortgage process is a non standard lending application which he has had made a smooth and easy experience, he’s available at the drop of the hat and outside office hours. He’s understanding and empathetic in explaining every nuance of detail, some of which isn’t needed but I asked because that’s the nosy type of person I am. Thoroughly would recommend Gary for any and all future works, even through Gary completed his work he has been kept up ongoing communication with us throughout the completion side of things to ensure we’re okay and still making progress with the solicitors. Exceptional hard worker who you want in your corner when it comes to a mortgage process to get the best deal for you. Will certainly use Gary in any of our future dealings as mortgages can be a mine field at the best of times and he has made the entire process from side a positive and constructive experience when often mortgages feel daunting and overall quite harrowing.
