We are customers from Germany and have never experienced such excellent service before. We bought a wall lamp from Muuto, which is amazing in itself, but after two years of use it stopped working properly. We wanted to purchase a spare part, but the Finnish Design Shop managed to organize a completely new lamp for us. From now on, we will definitely order our décor items here — especially since the FDS collection is just perfect.

I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding my recent order for Dubai. While the shipping costs initially appeared reasonable online, upon delivery the goods arrived overheated, left outside as though damaged, and I was unexpectedly asked to pay an additional USD 150 directly to the courier.
This situation is highly unsatisfactory, both in terms of the condition of the goods and the unforeseen extra charge. Please clarify the reason for this additional payment.

Delighted with my purchase. I had been searching for this beautiful bowl and found it at the Finnish Design Shop for a good price. It was shipped to the UK and was well packaged to protect it, and I did not have to pay import fees. I would absolutely shop here again.

The best packaging ever! Fine porcelain arrived perfectly fine from Finland to Greece! As for the plates and coffee cups, excellent quality and fine design! I will definitely place a new order soon!

Process was a lot more difficult than it should have been for an online order.
8/14 - Ordered from online shop and paid by credit card. Paid an extra ~€9 to have the delivery made to my house because the package would be heavy and big. Payment deducted from my credit card.
8/18 - 4 days later still hadn't received a shipping notification so I checked the order on their website, it said that payment had not been made for the order.
Sent their customer service an email, was notified that they respond in 5-7 business days.
Tried to get an answer from their AI customer service, got stuck in an endless (and infuriating) cycle of "what is your order number" / "what is your email" and got nowhere. Note to company, your AI customer service is doing more harm than good.
8/26 - Received a reply from customer service that my payment for whatever reason hadn't been registered but that it had been received and now my order would be shipping asap.
Ok great, but now I've unnecessarily spent ~9 euro for home delivery because they processed the payment 12 days after my order, which prompted delivery for a date that I couldn't be at home.
9/1 - Order delivered to a packing station 2 kilometers away from my house. Had to take a taxi to get the package home because of the weight/size.
In total, it took 17 days to get my order and I spent ~ €20 to get the delivery to my house.
Other similar companies offer free shipping on orders at this price point and significantly less hassle in the overall experience. I will try to order my products elsewhere before trying this site again.

I absolutely adore the book, and was very charmed by the packaging and care involved.
My only negative is one that is not the fault of Finnish Design Shop, and outside their control and does not reflect the quality of their company - when picking a third party to ship to Canada, it was an American company (UPS) that made the decision to reroute the package to Kentucky, and on its arrival in British Columbia, the US added an export tarriff of 100% COD.
I'll look to be more careful with choosing a shipper, but I want to purchase again from you in the near future.
The delivery was presise
The delivery was presise. The Artek pillocases were just as I expected. I am very satisfied.
Bad experience
Unfortunately I have had a very bad experience with Finnish Design, so I could not recommend it to anyone.
My order wasn’t delivered. The courier company GLS marked it as „successfully delivered“, which is not true.
When I turned to GLS in order to complain, they asked me to write directly to Finnish Design with my problem. And so I did.
No reaction.
The only thing I get from them - are annoying advertisements every day.
Update:
In a week after this feedback I got an answer from Finnish Design and a full refund. So I have nothing to complain about. The bad experience has all to do with the delivery service of GLS.

Poor and slow customer service
I have ordered some products 2 times from the shop.
First time I ordered - it took one and a half month for delivery so I cancelled one of the items before it was shipped. I was told that they refunded the money, but they didn’t. I had to reach out to them one more time and they finally did, but there was like 4 sgd difference between I paid and I got from them. I asked them the reason why and asked for the correction, but they advised to check with the bank.. of course the bank said this was the amount of money they sent. I just gave up wasting my time to chase anyone.
The second time I purchased - I got a wrong item! I ordered an item in beige & green colour, but what I got was white & ash colour..
I sent an email to them 3 days ago, but I have not heard from them yet.
I got an automated email which was written it would take 5-7 business days.
I do not understand why it is not easy to reach out to them and why it is so slow to get any response from them since I see their advertisement every time I open any of my social media..
It seems like they need to invest more on C/S instead of advertising.
Plus they need to make some changes on their website for customers to do any refund or reaching out to them more easily.
I am really not happy to waste my time waiting their response and it was clearly not my mistake.

customer service does not meet legal requirements
I placed an order with Finnish Design Shop for several items totaling over £300. One item (worth £72) arrived damaged due to poor packaging.
I submitted a claim via their website, as instructed, but received no response after a week. When I called, I was told the online claim form does not work, and to email instead — which I did immediately.
Over the past two weeks, I have exchanged multiple emails with their customer service team and provided photo and video evidence of the damage, as requested. Their response has been disappointing: they offered either a 20% discount on the damaged item or a £25 gift card — both of which are inadequate and fall short of their legal obligations.
Under UK and EU consumer protection laws, I am entitled to a full refund or a replacement at no additional cost, as the item arrived damaged and is not fit for purpose. This ongoing delay and lack of fair resolution is unacceptable.
I’ve now had to escalate the issue via my credit card provider under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Disappointing experience from a retailer I expected better from.

The 2 water bottles are excellent
The 2 water bottles are excellent. The insulated one is good for travel. I can slip ice cubes in for cold drink in summer. The 800 ml bottle will sit on my nightstand. Excellent design. I received them in July 2025.
Non-existent customer service, beware
I ordered an expensive item that arrived with a manufacturing defect. Not a huge deal; this happens. But it has been absolutely impossible to get in touch with a customer service representative. Everything is AI automated, emails are unanswered, and the phone line isn't connected. They will take your money real quick, but you're on your own if anything goes wrong. I don't know if they actually exist.

Uncommunicative, unable to handle refund
I ordered a small Fatboy Tjoep lamp as a gift for my own birthday. Finnish Design Shop used UPS for shipping my order, and the tracking information remained static for three weeks after the shipping label was created. I was worried that the parcel went missing in transit so I contacted Finnish Design Shop via email. I did not hear anything back from them after five working days so I filed a claim on PayPal. This triggered Finnish Design Shop to write back to me, and confirmed that UPS could not locate my parcel. Instead of refunding me on PayPal, they tried to convince me to close my case on PayPal immediately to 'make their refund process easier'. I refused to close my PayPal claim, based on how uncommunicative they were before, and it was the last protection I hung on to. PayPal refunded me eventually (thank god). Finnish Design Shop was shockingly inexperienced in handling damage control. No matter what nice things that they have on their website, I have no confidence to buy from them again.
